You've got my respect mate for this video, is not everyday that u come across guys like you trying to help basically others. My respect and thank you !
OUTSTANDING Video!! Very informative! I was debating between Print Screen and Heat Transfer, but YOU have convinced me that Heat Transfer is NOT inferior to Print Screens, especially when using the different types of transfer sheets!! THANX for the INFO, mannnn!!
Cool! I don't know how I ran into this video, but it was interesting. My friend wants to get into this and I wanted to see how it was done. You are definitely right. You do not need a large machine. I like more steps, so I'd rather save money and buy the hat press instead of the larger shirt press - if I was doing just a small logo. I like putting more work into something, so I'd actually prefer the more difficult approach (hat press) .
thanx man what you had explain make a lot a sense. i have the same problem you had mention about uneven heating so am now going to get me a heat gun for testing my heat press since i cant afford to buy a much expensive one. thanx man good video.
Glad it helped. This is why most people who buy cheap heat presses give up because they can't get consistant professional results. A deicent press sorts this out. Regards Martin
I still enjoy going back and rewatching your older videos just incase iv missed something ! just recently started doing sublimation on mugs everything going great cheers ,mark
You are a genius I'm trying to start my business and I'm looking for videos to help me learn what to do or what I need and you were very helpful thank you
Martin a lot of videos on youtube on shirt making but always try to find yours ! Yours are always the best ! thanks for so much info ! trying to get my business up and going hope to have a successful try at it !
omg after soild 4 hrs of looking on youtube for these heat press you sir seem to be thee best on youtube your clear i can understand you video is vary vary well done if i could like this vid more then once i would Great Job please keep it up.
great video!! you the man!! thanks..can you guide me to a vid of yours on printers and how i get to print on the vinyls if you have one?? will look now but incase you get there before me..thanks again
This video really helped me out. The heat press I bought was a generic brand from a reputable site, and I wasn't sure of the quality. I got a decent IR thermometer from Amazon, and checked it out. It actually runs 10-15 degrees hotter than the display says, but more than that, it's displaying in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius as the unit implies! I'm glad I verified before I started printing things, this video and that thermometer probably saved me a ton of money in lost transfers and shirts!
That's why I made this video Luke. When I had similar problems when I started, no one on forums was prepared to give this answer so I found it out myself. Good luck. Martin
Love the vids and the way you are trying to help people...do you have a video about the different types of vinyls or could you make one explaining their effects and uses not to mention the pros and cons of the product...thanks again keep up the great work...
Thanks for this! I'm planning on starting up my own little business online and maybe my own little shop in the future. I've been doing stencils and silhouette type work and this is something that would fit in so well!
Thanks fo replying back. I'm from the uk and im trying to start a t shirt printing bussiness but i want a heat press that is reliable like yours but i dont have £1000+ to spend on just the press, can you recommend any other heat press manufacturers that are just as good? i have seen a few combo deals on ebay where you can buy the whole set e.g. printer , heat press, cap press, mug press etc but i dont know if they will be reliable and heat up the entire plate surface! cheers mate
Hi Martin, thinking about starting a T Shirt business, bit worried that the market is now saturated, however your video was good, and I appreciate you have to get the right machine. Cheers Alan
I wish I would have watched your video before purchasing my heat press! I just ordered a Iglobalbuy 8in1 T-shirt Digital Heat Press Machine Transfer Sublimation Hat Mug Cap Plate 15" X 12"- still hasn't arrived yet. But I will definitely be getting a temperature gun to test it out! Thank you for your information!
+Martin Butler Wow! You're fast at responding! I'm actually watching your video now with Sharon! This is my first heat press- I'm purchasing it for my new business- trying out a new thing! :) I've already bookmarked all of your videos. I will be doing marathon watching today!
Thanks for the video. I have purchased an ebay press for about $200 US dollars. (i'm in usa) I purchased it strictly for my Airbrushing shirts to heat set the shirts. I heat set them 3-4 times, going around the shirt board. It works GREAT for that..... not so much for transfers. I ordered a small batch and used my press and I have YET to have a successful peel out of 8 so far. DO NOT SKIMP On a press if you're doing transfers!!
Yes mate! Love your video mate. You're a top bloke! I'm really trying to get up and going with my own business but being quoted silly prices for all my needs. I'd rather do it all myself. Hi Martin Thank you for sharing your great videos with us. I am going to buy your training video this week. In the mean time I hope you can answer these questions. I am about to buy a Heat Press. It will either be the Stahl auto Clam Hotronix 40x40, or the Adkins beta maxi 16 x20. The Adkins model is suitable for all pressures from light to Heavy, but I cannot find information if the Stahl is suitable for all pressures up to Heavy. Also do you find the 40x40 size platen covers you for most T shirts designs you use? Best Wishes Kath
HI Kath, The Stahl is the same one I have so that's the one for me. It does all you'll need for pressure on all garments. the 40cmx40cm is what we have. Good luck Martin
Martin - what type of paper are you using? The last time I bought transfer paper at an office depot I saw a residue stain the shape of the cutout. It looks like the paper you are using only transfer the ink without leaving a stain.
Hi. My sublimation images are printing ok, but it leaves a paper residue on the garment and I can clearly see the outline of where the media has been. Is there anything that can remove the paper residue from the garment please. Great videos. Thanks for your help. Mike

Yes, A hat press can be used for smaller transfers or vinyl's for either sleeves or breast logo's.
Thanks for watching

+Martin Butler whats a good brand and which is. a bad brand
If a press has a name, you can Google it for reviews. If it has no name, You can not see reviews so I wouldn't buy one with no reviews.

Hi Martin, i have been watching some of your videos, very helpful.......... interested in your course so where can i find details
Verry good explanation -> new subscriber now
Do you have a complete guide to t-shirt printing, like a book or something?
Thanks for the video. I have purchased an ebay press for about $200 US dollars. (i'm in usa) I purchased it strictly for my Airbrushing shirts to heat set the shirts. I heat set them 3-4 times, going around the shirt board. It works GREAT for that..... not so much for transfers. I ordered a small batch and used my press and I have YET to have a successful peel out of 8 so far.
DO NOT SKIMP On a press if you're doing transfers!!
That's correct. A cheap press is no good for transfers but it is ok for curing inks.
good comment.
Thanks a lot I'm trying to go in the t-shirt business myself
Good luck. Hope you enjoyed the video.
