Thanks a lot, man! :)
Hey, nice song to make a cover. But I think that your style didn't fit to much with the one of the song, you added "too much", I liked occasionally the faster tapping on the hi hat, but not the rest honestly. It seemed like a more appropriate style for a rock or metal band.
I'm not sure I agree that what was played is more tailored for a rock or metal band. I have some covers that line up more with that. When it comes to songs like these, that are open to interpretation, I tend to let loose for the simple fact of "Why not?". Wasn't really trying to reinvent the song, just have fun with it. Thanks for watching!
I made this association because I used to listen to a lot of that music (I still do). I don't know, it just felt out of place for that "groovish" funk style. It's fun to add an own style, but I think that there was too much that was not needed. I've seen another drummer in the related videos, another Daft Punk cover, doing something similar.
Anyway, keep playing!
Well the drums themselves without some flash like he added would be extremely boring
Less is more!
I agree!
The problem is you add so many fills that dont fit the song at all.
I appreciate the comment and insight. I wasn't trying to solve a problem, but rather just having fun. Cheers!
