Bench Testing Shurflo 2088 - Adjusting Pressure Switch. This process does not change overall pressure (as many people believe), rather it will only adjust the pressure at which the pump shuts off. This process can also correct short cycling, depending on how your pump is set up for your individual application.

I think the point is to show that by screwing the pressure adjustment screw inwards about 1 & 1/2 turns he increased the pressure from 30 to 45. I got the same result with my pump

I have same pump not sure on how to hook wiring up? Just three prong plug in then into inverter would it work ?

if it adjusts the pressure that it turns off, then how can the overall pressure be higher than that?

I'm going to guess: The pump can develop a certain maximum pressure and flow. It will only flow what it can against system pressure losses. The pressure switch has its setting. If that pressure is reached, the switch opens and therefore, the pump stops. So if allowed, it will pump up to its maximum. A setting over the pumps ability will not shut it down.

Notice how the pressure was at about 30 and then about 55 (or whatever the numbers were) after the adjustment.
