    Additional review NOTES
    DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS:
    Physical buttons
    Water resistance: IPX4
    Battery: 8/24 hrs
    USB-C charging!
    No wireless charging
    3 colors
    3 eartips
    $150
    Dual compatibility: iOS/Android fast pairing
    No seamless switching though
    App for Android
I like the new design and the physical buttons are finicky but nice for workouts
Studio is a terrible name for these earbuds. Maybe they could be Beats Sport Buds or something?
    SOUND:
Crackly white noise particularly in left bud
    Constant hissing/white noise
Overall unbalanced profile. Bass is too emphasized but not clear enough
    Slightly muddy
Lacking detail. Congested with poor instrument separation
    Dark and dull sounding
Decent for rap and rage rock
    ANC/TRANSPARENCY: barely noticeable
    MICROPHONE TEST
    FEATURES:
    Mono mode!
    Multi-pairing?
The social status Factor definitely exists here
Some movies have sequels that you really wish you never watched and your mind kind of embellishes the original movie.

I upgraded my Galaxy Buds Plus to this and I can't be happier. My only complain is that there is no volume control which is way more important to me than switching between noise cancelling/transparency/voice assistant features. I also own XM4, QC30, and those are the ones you want to listen to music with when you are being serious. Of course the sound isn't there but it has the distinctive bassy sound you expect from beats, so I'm very satisfied. I also loved the red color of them.

Out of curiosity, do they sound quieter than other wireless earbuds u own? Just asking as I found the volume to be not as high as my beats x for example.

Hahaha, first at all, I detect some fanboism here. I have 9 pairs of earbuds within($70~$230) price range and I use flagship android phones like Samsung S21+ G5 and Linux PC's to listen online music streaming services like Tidal, amazon music unlimited and Spotify but listen to this, until you haven't tried some pair of earbuds with a 5 hz - 21,000 Hz or 5 - 40,000 Hz frequency response, aptX adaptive and aptX-HD, you haven't tried at all. And those BT earbuds are available for under $130 bucks, specially when they go on sale, so you don't have to break the bank. Word to the wise, stick to real audio brand names and leave Lebron James audio brand aside. FYI, I'm not saying Beats studio buds are bad per se, just they are overpriced for what they offer, aimed to please highly promoted overhyped beats brand. It shouldn't costs more than 60~70 bucks.

I love the aesthetics of the Beats, I had a pair for about two weeks. When I realized I needed more functionality in my headphones for work (multipoint). I was perfectly okay with the sound of them till realized there were much better sounds profiles out there. I currently have the Jabra 7 Actives, which sound better to me than the Beats did. I got the Jabra 7 for the gym but they have been the ones I have been using daily till I find one that works for me. I tried the Technic AZ-60 which sound amazing but are too big for my ears. Still looking for my perfect earbuds, the next set I will be trying are the 1More Evo. I am hoping that the smaller form factor will work for my ears.

For what it is and the price they seem nice, but I'd like this form factor or similar with AirPods Pro 2 with all the current AirPods Pro features plus whatever other sensors it's rumored they are going to have in 2022. It will cost more. These Beast are more budget friendly.

I forgot to mention, the Huawei FreeBuds Pro are my second pick. Also very natural, but has a weird noise that I didn't like. Still extremely usable, but nothing sounds as natural as the Galaxy Buds Pro, except the Airpods Pro ofcourse.
One major issue with most Ambient modes is that the Earbud mics pick up a lot of wind, so on a windy day you'd hear a lot of "wshwshwsh".
The vents on the Galaxy Buds greatly reduce that, something the Huaweis don't do

Sound wise I prefer base heavy headphones so these work for me. My one big gripe with these is that the stalk/handle that you use to grab these out of the case - it’s a smooth surface and they often slip from my fingers. Wish apple added some texture to the stalk/handles. Tried to leave a review comment on Apple’s website for these and guess what! Apple does not have a review section on its products pages 🙄😬

Got these a few days ago and fully agree with the sound quality criticism. Very muddy and congested, really need to crank the volume up to bring out some clarity but then they sound harsh and fatiguing. Really disappointed in them. I was using some cheap generic earbuds before and they sound far better to me.

For me phone call quality is a priority which is why I stick with my airpod pros but am always on the lookout for a backup, more affordable, Bluetooth earbud set up. The phone call quality seems decent on these but the soundcore P3's sound better IMO. Still on the fence on which is more important: Decent call quality and better iPhone integration or better overall sound quality and less iPhone integration.

Bought these yesterday to try out and compare with my Sony WF-SP800N and it wasn't even close. I was really underwhelmed by the Studio Buds' sound quality (clarity wasn't there, highs were harsh and bass was muddy like you said), especially since I particularly enjoyed the Powerbeats Pro's sound quality. Not a fan of the controls either, it pushes the bud into my ear every time I click it.

    • @whiteknight5100
      @whiteknight5100 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

The SP800Ns are mediocre for the price too. I bought them for $160 and immediately returned them for a $70 pair of Anker Soundcore Spirit X2s which sound just as good and had killer bass. I'll never buy another pair of Sonys or Beats ever.

Thank you for being honest. As somebody who owns the AirPods Pro’s and multiple beats products, I was expecting at least a similar experience between these buds and the AirPods Pro’s, based on all the positive reviews. But it wasn’t even close. Multiple genres of music sounded muffled, transparency was congested, and noise cancellation had almost zero effect on ambient noise on these beats. One thing people never mention is that hey Siri DOES work with these buds, but it stops the music completely to activate siri rather than lower the music like AirPods Pro do. The lack of vents also creates uncomfortable in ear pressure and the physical button gets accidentally pressed too often. I wanted to love these new beats and I literally couldn’t find any Benefit in them.

The Mic sounds 10x better outside I just picked up a pair and love them Ive wanted Beats headphones since I was like 14 in 2014 when I got into hip hop and I am very happy to see them making affordable earbuds that sound great for the everyday user. I was going to get the Senheizer or Audio technica offering in the same price range but Im glad I chose the studio buds half of Beats relevancy is because of Dr. Dre being the best producer to ever step into the hip hop industry and rap wouldn't be where it is today without him.

Generally with Bluetooth earphones in a quiet environment, the best audio quality is with both active noise cancellation and transparency mode turned off. Certainly with the big brother Beats Studio 3 headphones , I have found this to be the case. However , the studio buds sounded very bass light in “off” mode. To get enough bass , I felt forced to use ANC or transparency mode. That said ANC audio sounded decent enough and was better than transparency in terms of best audio quality.

I was interested in your review because I have a Touch 7 ProductRED and I thought about buying red earbuds for it. Just got these 2 days ago and I really don’t fancy them. Sound quality is good, but they put too much pressure in my ears and it hurts if I wear them for more than 10 minutes.
More than that, it cycles through anc, transparency on its own. When I try to change the settings from the built in settings on iphone it doesn’t work, I have to hold the buttons on the actual earphones to put more pressure in my ear. gonna return them and buy the regular airpods, 2nd or 3rd gen.

I disagree. I’ve had 2 pairs of these and not because they’re any good. The first ones made a beeping noise almost like a bomb which freaked me tf out. I returned those and got a fresh pair. I just returned those as well and I’m waiting for yet another fresh pair because they wouldn’t connect to the case and charge. And they never unpaired while in the case. It’s unbelievable how bad of a luck I’ve had with these. Less than a month both pairs and none of them worked. ANC is little to none. It kicks in when listening to music. That’s when you really hear the difference. Battery life is good but you have to have ANC completely off if not it’s really bad. For the head aches they’ve caused me I don’t really think these are up to Beats standards. If there is any. I had the beats pro (with hook) those never disappointed. And the beats wireless solo’s are also great.
