I use earbuds for up to 8 hours basically every day at work, was previously using raycon everyday earbuds but I got these beats studio buds for Christmas and have been very satisfied so far. The transparency mode is really impressive as with my raycon I could barely hear outside noise, but now am able to hear people while listening to music at a decently high volume. My only complaint with these is they easily slip out of my ear canal. They've never fallen out of my ear but I'm constantly having to push the buds back in. Overall I give these an 8/10, knowing everybody's ears are different so these may fit perfectly for you
Me too, im constantly taking a glove off to push it back in and twist it in place. I’ve noticed that it happens less if i clean out my earwax everyday.
Thank you for this review, i am a truck driver and honestly the mic quality is a deal breaker for me. I was close to buying these but thats a big NO, my co workers won't be able to understand me clearly, especially with the background noise a semi makes.
i'm very satisfied with them. I have used but never owned airpods pro for myself so I can't make an accurate comparison for that. However, I bought these simply because of the cheap price for a solid, named brand product. I found them on sale for 130. The sound and anc is solid. I mainly use them to workout and I have no complaints. They stay in my ears and sound great.
To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
Yea I feel like I’ve noticed that too after doing many of these kinds of comparisons over time and listening to the same hvac noise being canceled out..
It’s because noise canceling improves overtime and maybe it makes them seem worse or it’s just because we felt more impressed then less impressed now just like how the iPhone X used to take great photos now since we have the 12 pro max it seems worse
I agree with you. Finally someone with my same ears. I think these beats sound better than my AirPods Pro. Louder, better bass, and still a great sound stage, plus with the better seal in your ear you hear the music clearer as well since to me the ANC works better for that same seal reason. Not sure why people think ANC on the AirPods Pro are so amazing. I think it’s better on the Beats. But still neither are as good as my over the ear Sony WH-1000XM3’s, but that’s to be expected. The only reason I’m not selling my AirPods Pro at this point is because their mic is the best and I use that for work almost everyday. But for the gym the Beats are hands down the best headphones I’ve owned (previously I gave that crown to the jabra 75T’s and that’s even after owning the Beats Powerbeats pro before those). P.S. I’ve just bought these but I’m wondering if you can listen with one out of the case & one in? Sometimes I don’t want to put both earbuds in but my old Sony earbuds only worked with both buds out the case :)
I Like these beats earbuds, I haven’t used my Apple AirPod Pros the last 2 weeks, they may not have all the features as the AirPods but sound amazing listening to rock, they don’t feel like they’re going to fall out, I use at the gym with no problem. I personally don’t like the ANC or transparency modes so I don’t use and by not using I’m getting 7-7 1/2 hours per bud, and I have at lease one in my ear all day at work without any discomfort. Phone calls could be better but I’m getting used to the different sound and nobody really hasn’t complained, come to think about it even before these using my AirPods the only time my calls sounded good were when the other side was using AirPods.

I tried AirPods Pro that I purchased July 5 for first time today and I’m quite impressed. They stay in my ear unlike my AirPods 2 and they are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, NC is absolutely incredible for such small ear buds and the hear through sounds totally natural unlike my Jabra 65 and 75T Actives
This has nothing to do with AirPods lol this is a video about beats. Beats are way better than air pods anyways. And what’s better than beats is Bose😁 I have them both I will never own Air-pods did once took them back
@@kevmack187 you saying that air pods pro is better than than a over the eat beats pro solo I think not you do not get that same sound experience with a over the ear than in the ear headphone I have to beg the different in air pods pro. I’m not a big fan of air pods because the sound quality is not there like beats solo pro.
I’m probably going to return mine because of the numerous issues I have had. They randomly connect to my phone while they are in the case, the left bud only charges when the case is open, and they cut in and out when I move around. I’ve had similar issues with my other beats products, and this is really frustrating me. (This is not an issue with my phone, as other headphones do work)
These earphones are pretty solid. For $100 they are almost a steal. I am an iPhone user and I really wanted that quality of life the AirPods provided. The only thing I don’t like is not having the sensor when I take the earbuds out. I agree 💯 my airpods pro have more features. But when it comes to listening to music ( The MAIN reason why I buy earbuds or headphones) i definitely prefer the studio buds 👍🏾
Glad you made a second video expanding on the sound quality of these. I have had zero complains when it comes to sound quality, I love them way more than my Pros but I realized that if I want 8 hours per charge, I gotta turn my volume down 🤣
@@horseflypro it doesn’t matter how loud or quiet I have them, the battery drops pretty fast and it’s annoying but the sound quality is so good that it’s not a deal breaker for me
5:49 Since i workout with my earbuds i NEED button controls. I cant have my earbuds inputting some unwanted control every time i wipe sweat off my ears
I have them. I use them at work and the gym while I use my AirPods Pro’s everywhere else. I dig the setup. Allows me to prolong my AirPods battery longer now. Only thing I hate about the buds is that it’s hard getting them buds into the case quickly as the pros
Every time I buy a “beats by Dre” product I always read the “it’s all about the music” quote, now I let my music do the talking for me I can say confidently the beats are the best personal earbuds for me (I only say this because of the genre of music I listen to especially since I change genres a lot from 90’s rap to Metallica)
I decided to purchase the Beats Buds and the constant complaints I receive is that phone callers hear far too much of every single noise from everywhere. At home they can hear someone speaking or watching tv in another room, when walking they can hear every car, truck, tire, bird, and even an airplane in the sky. There are complaints of sounding muffled. This must be addressed. Overall, certainly it beats spending $15 on headsets 10 times throughout the year. No pun intended!
I looove my beats buds, but I’m still considering returning them based solely on the poor call quality. They have been unusable walking around a store because the elevator music has been drowning me out. It’s also slightly annoying that the beats will give only one low battery warning before just shutting down.
I made a terrible mistake getting Jlab buds they suck and returned them. These little guys are awesome and sound amazing. Worth every penny. Dynamics are great. all I listen too is rock and metal pretty much.
Hey I just got mine and I got them off of Amazon and when I turn on and or transparency mode I hear weird noises when I’m not listening to music on it I was jus two seeing if u have the same problem
That illustrates the problem with the microphone being so far back and away from the mouth. Sounds garbled. But... for just listening purposes, it sounds like this would be the better product.
Personally I loved the heavy bass in the old beats by Dre. Kinda reminded me of having 12” subs in the trunk. As soon as apple paid billions they swapped the bass and put 1/4 of it into AirPods and took it out completely in beats
Not entirely sure, but I've had beats, Airpods, and other types of earbuds and I have never come across an option to choose the speaker/microphone devices seperately from one another. Just my personal experience, I may have missed it but I don't think that's a thing.
I picked up a pair today the the local Apple store, I am rocking them all day, so far I love them with my Moto G Power, seamless pairing, nice overall sound, sleek design and fast USB C charging, I'll keep these for my Android device and the AirPods Pro for all the Cupertino ones.
I still use Powerbeats for my workouts cause i'm afraid without the ear loop, they'll just fall out. I can't get the tips to stay in my ear to save my life when I sweat, and that's with the biggest tips they come with. Would love to see a comparission between these and Powerbeats Pro. I feel these are better for the gym whereas Airpods Pro are better for everything else. Super interested to see what Apple does when they launch the new pros eventually.
You should get some aftermarket memory foam tips for them. I used to have that same problem with my AirPods Pro’s. With those tips not only do they not fall out even while sweating and exercising they help make the NC feature work even better.
So how much smaller are these than the airpod pros bud part ignoring the stem? The paper specs indicate that the beats stick out the ear less(18.5mm vs 21.8mm for the airpod pros) and they are shorter length wise(20.8mm vs 24mm for the airpod pros). The bud height for the beats is tagged at 15mm not sure the height of the AirPod pros bud part. The AirPod pros stay snug in my ears so im hoping these will too if they are indeed smaller they seem relatively the same size as AirPods pros in videos and on pics despite the paper specs
Have not had an issue with the mic but transparency mode is useless. Best for the money though in my opinion! Also I think you are wrong in the “does not pause when you take one out”. Mine pause every time I take an earbud out
(iPhone user)It was Beats or Air Pods 🤔. I recently bought the Beats Studio due to my brother’s recommendation. And I’m glad I did, for the extra usage hrs and better sound quality at $99.99 Sale it’s a no brainer. Well worth it.
I wonder if there have been some firmware updates or changes made since these were released? I have not had anyone complain about the mic quality when I’ve been speaking to them.. whether it’s with one ear bud or both. I wear these pretty much all day while working, and make plenty of phone calls. Both from my car and inside..sometimes some fairly noisy environments
Can you recommend in ear or over the ear headphones that have GOOD microphone? [for Apple user - iPhone] I’ve been looking for so long! Even Bose are terrible with Mic support. The wind and surrounding noise always leak into the conversation… thank you!
These are my first Beats. I love my AirPods (Gen 2 & Gen 3) but they lack noise cancellation. I need earbuds because I wear a hood most of the time. I really like that they come in red too. Red is my favorite color. The only thing I have that comes in red but I chose another color is my iPhone SE3 (2022). I chose Starlight because it looked better with the case I already had
Thanks for the review. I just bought a pair of these Beats Studio Buds. Generally with Bluetooth earphones in a quiet environment, the best audio quality is with both active noise cancellation and transparency mode turned off. Certainly with the big brother Beats Studio 3 headphones , I have found this to be the case. However , the studio buds sounded very bass light in “off” mode. To get enough bass , I felt forced to use ANC or transparency mode. That said ANC audio sounded decent enough and was better than transparency mode in terms of getting the best audio quality. EDIT: maybe there has been a software fix, now off mode sounds the best provided you are in a quiet environment and there is a nice warm tight bass. These sound excellent now, it’s hard to believe what these are capable of.
It’s amazing how two people can listen to the same earbuds and one find the bass to be very light or not enough and the other might find the bass to be deep or too much. Everyone raved about the Sony X M4, so I bought a pair and I could not believe how unimpressive the bass was . I really can’t go by peoples opinions . I have to buy them and test them for myself. And the xm4 lack volume. I think these earbuds are built with granny and older people in mind or a certain type of customer. They’re not built for listening to rock, rap or music that’s bass heavy.
I just want to know how well do they stay in. Could I run with them or will they fall out too easy. The Powerbeats Pro's don't stay connected well nor charge well either. So want something else that true wireless that works with Siri.
@@mrmaramind I don't personally have that problem. I'm only running about 12 miles a week so I'm no elite runner but Ive been really impressed with the fit so far. You can only adjust the volume with your phone or holding the button on the earbuds and asking your assistant. When you push the button I've heard you can end up pushing them further into your ear but i haven't had mine move yet. 4 miles 3 times a week and I've had them about a week so far.
@@siockaaron3724 Sounds good. No pun intended. I hoping for the Powerbeats Pro true wireless will fix the version one problems with connection and charging.
I usually use Audio Technica earbuds but they do not have noise cancelling. I just left my headphones in the airplane so I need a new pair. The headphones were too hot and annoying anyway so I have been looking for earbuds with noise cancelling for mowing and being in airplane. Therefore microphone issue should not be problem for me. And now they are only $80. Thanks for your information.
Ok I’m confused because I’ve seen a list made by beats and apple showcasing the buds and AirPods that support spatial audio and these came up on that list, so do they or do they not? Like I’m genuinely annoyed by this

Just bought these today at Costco. After watching your review about the microphone not being so well, I was bummed. I had my wife call me but she said I sounded muffled. I do use my headphones A LOT at work and bullshit with my fellow co workers. Music sounds great but oh well. Good thing costco has a 90 day return policy.
@Edward Hi, so did you end up returning your studio buds? I am more concerned about the microphone cos i make a lot of calls. I need more feedbacks on this to make a choice.
after two years of release, I finally got this pair along with my AirPods Pro. Your review is bang on, the microphone quality is literally useless when taking a call in an open environment let along lack of H1/W1 chip & auto pause play feature. Great review !
I prefer Beats Studio over Airpods /pro, for better sound, battery life, comfort, noise cancellation, and won't slip out of your ears running! The only thing I wouldn't recommend them for are calls.
I got my when they got out and I have had them for like a month every time I listen to music full blast I keep on getting a annoying static noise that hurt my ears it’s really annoying and sucks so I can’t really listen to music without hurting me I really need someone to tell me what is wrong
I encourage ppl to watch at least a few review videos for the beats Studio Buds. Its interesting how perspectives differ. The other eviews I watched didnt complain about the mic even tho they acknowledged that its not as good as the Apple earbuds
i pre ordered these i immediately wrote these of as trash especially the transparency mode. I will buy these again and try them out. Still my go to is the new sony and the galaxy buds and of course the airpod pros
What I can say is though with my old AirPods pros I don't know if it was my model. The microphone hardly worked, Had connectivity issues, and the touch controls was inconsistent. I was struggling honestly and it didn't make it no better that one of the AirPods stopped working it was like very weak in sound I couldn't hear anything. I wish I had AirPods pro that truly worked to see how they stack up
I agreed until you said they’re better than the Powerbeats Pro. They sound better than the AirPods Pro but not nearly as well as the Powerbeats Pro. The ANC and transparency is better on the AirPods Pro for me. I will have to do more testing with the ANC between the 2. I do miss the auto connection and Siri reading my messages that’s needed from the H1 chip. I’m still giving up my AirPods Pro for the Studio Beats.

Thanks for mentioning the mic quality, I have been all over youtube trying to find how their mics sound
I’ve taken a few phone calls with these and haven’t had complaints about it 🤞. I do like them quite a bit and prefer simplistic look.
why was he saying there isnt an H1 chip when other reviewers said there is? can you auto pair to many apple devices
I’m probably going to return mine because of the numerous issues I have had. They randomly connect to my phone while they are in the case, the left bud only charges when the case is open, and they cut in and out when I move around. I’ve had similar issues with my other beats products, and this is really frustrating me. (This is not an issue with my phone, as other headphones do work)
I got mine for $79.99 on Amazon today and so far I’m loving them!
In what currency
@@Zooba-q5sprobably USD cause I just got them for the same price on Amazon
These earphones are pretty solid. For $100 they are almost a steal.
I am an iPhone user and I really wanted that quality of life the AirPods provided. The only thing I don’t like is not having the sensor when I take the earbuds out.
My review as an iPhone user who used to have AirPods:
ANC: 8/10
Transparency: 5/10
Comfort: 9/10
Sound: 7/10
Price: 9/10
Mic: 6/10
Looks: 7/10
Case: 7/10
Battery: 6/10
I agree 💯 my airpods pro have more features. But when it comes to listening to music ( The MAIN reason why I buy earbuds or headphones) i definitely prefer the studio buds 👍🏾
Glad you made a second video expanding on the sound quality of these. I have had zero complains when it comes to sound quality, I love them way more than my Pros but I realized that if I want 8 hours per charge, I gotta turn my volume down 🤣
Does the volume affect the charge? 🤔
@@horseflypro if you blast your music at 100% with anc off, there’s no way you’re gonna get 8 hours lol
@@horseflypro it doesn’t matter how loud or quiet I have them, the battery drops pretty fast and it’s annoying but the sound quality is so good that it’s not a deal breaker for me
@@carlson2012abqb how long would you say they last for you? I’m debating whether to get them or not and I love listening to music!
@@horseflypro get them seriously! The longest charge I had was about 7 hours
5:49 Since i workout with my earbuds i NEED button controls. I cant have my earbuds inputting some unwanted control every time i wipe sweat off my ears
Nice video man just bought mine today and watched your vid about these from before I am happy with this purchase
Had these for 2 days and returned em. Has that classic "Beats" sound(not good). Idk why reviewers don't call em out on it.
Yeah same. I thought they sounded like trash cans
They’re mostly for ppl w taste in heavy rock music or hiphop/rap music due to heavy bass
I'm excited I get my Beats Studio Buds today.
I returned mine already
I wonder if the beats use the same eartips as the AirPods Pro? I know a lot of people were having some bad allergic reactions to the pro eartips.
the video is good to watch and i wish there was timestaps and i would go with the airpods pro
Yeah But Don't Worry A Creative Guy Will Add One
Lol
I have them. I use them at work and the gym while I use my AirPods Pro’s everywhere else. I dig the setup. Allows me to prolong my AirPods battery longer now. Only thing I hate about the buds is that it’s hard getting them buds into the case quickly as the pros
@@kp1x lmao maybe get your money up and stop hating on what another person do? Y’all ppl weird af worrying about somebody else pockets I swear.
@@kp1x oh I only paid 100$ for my beats buds so I got mine like 33% off.
Hows the quality of the transparency? How would you rate it without comparing them the AirPods pro transparency
@@SomeJohndoe AirPods Pro transparency is way better it’s really no contest. I do find the buds more comfortable though.
Do the beats buds stay in while working out? Also for running?
I just got these on sale. I think these some of the best earbuds you will find for around this price range.
I made a terrible mistake getting Jlab buds they suck and returned them. These little guys are awesome and sound amazing. Worth every penny. Dynamics are great. all I listen too is rock and metal pretty much.
The only problem I have with the studio buds is weather ANC is on or off or transparency is on there’s a constant static
I had no idea you could change the noise cancellation through the volume settings, thanks.
Love these buds they sound amazing and look really clean too
I’m a sucker for the color red so I was hooked immediately.
Hey I just got mine and I got them off of Amazon and when I turn on and or transparency mode I hear weird noises when I’m not listening to music on it I was jus two seeing if u have the same problem
@@justin.sparks23 Oh I haven’t got my ones yet. Let me get back to you.
@@Dragon-pm3kh did I bought the beats ?
That illustrates the problem with the microphone being so far back and away from the mouth. Sounds garbled. But... for just listening purposes, it sounds like this would be the better product.
Personally I loved the heavy bass in the old beats by Dre. Kinda reminded me of having 12” subs in the trunk. As soon as apple paid billions they swapped the bass and put 1/4 of it into AirPods and took it out completely in beats
have you tried these? i have these and the airpods pro and the beats have way more bass, they’re great for hip hop/rap
How about actually try these before saying that
@@khfan9437 I did. Try the first Beats by Dre studios from Monster. I’ve tried the new beats pros..they ok
Nice review man keep it up champ 🏆
I was wondering if I should buy them are they Worth it
Does iPhone allow us to use the Beats for output while using the builtin iphone microphone? Crucial question.
Not entirely sure, but I've had beats, Airpods, and other types of earbuds and I have never come across an option to choose the speaker/microphone devices seperately from one another. Just my personal experience, I may have missed it but I don't think that's a thing.
No, but this would be a great idea.
Thank you for this full honest review I was on the fence, but you comparing the pro buds to these was perfect. Glad to know I won’t need to buy these
WOAH! Better than powerbeats pro? Is the call quality better?
Have you had a chance to compare with the Bose quiet comfort buds. If so what ones are better??? Mostly in sound
Please review the new Sennheiser CX true wireless earbuds. : )
Are they good for running ?
Have not had an issue with the mic but transparency mode is useless. Best for the money though in my opinion! Also I think you are wrong in the “does not pause when you take one out”. Mine pause every time I take an earbud out
Really how ?
@@kellyragasa there really is no how to it. I didn’t change any settings, they just pause when I take one of the earbuds out
No lie.I love mine. The Apple lady told me get the Beats…I messed up and bought the Air Pods.I was like say less. Not 1 regret!
Samsung buds live vs Beats, who sound better?
I see a bunch of people saying the mic quality was excellent, but you said yours was bad? I'm guessing it's a hit or miss
What happened with the W1chip Beats? Better to get the airpods pro
Can you recommend in ear or over the ear headphones that have GOOD microphone? [for Apple user - iPhone]
I’ve been looking for so long! Even Bose are terrible with Mic support. The wind and surrounding noise always leak into the conversation… thank you!
AirPod pros have a great mic
@@nathankornowski250 Yes, I have AirPods. Thought there were other options out there for Over The Ear…? I tried Bose but people could not hear me well
These are my first Beats.
How is the Beats vs the Jaybird Vista 2 for sports?
what i hated abt these was i couldnt use them in bed. id lay down on my side and it’d just pause coz of the physical buttons…
Great review! Please add the B&W PI-7's to your queue!
Great review! I’m go to purchase asap. What would you rate them out of 10?
Same! Looking for a decent price as we speak 😂
I just want to know how well do they stay in. Could I run with them or will they fall out too easy. The Powerbeats Pro's don't stay connected well nor charge well either. So want something else that true wireless that works with Siri.
I run with the studio buds with no issue
@@siockaaron3724 Really? They don't fall or get loose. What about when you adjust volume?
It really depends on your ears everybodies ears are different
I usually use Audio Technica earbuds but they do not have noise cancelling. I just left my headphones in the airplane so I need a new pair. The headphones were too hot and annoying anyway so I have been looking for earbuds with noise cancelling for mowing and being in airplane. Therefore microphone issue should not be problem for me. And now they are only $80. Thanks for your information.
I have to disagree with you the noise canceling is hand down better on the airpod pros
I have the AirPods Pro. Are these louder ? I’m looking for a second set.
@Max Tech There's an Final Cut Pro "linking error" at the end of the video 😱
Are they better then AirPods 2 gen ? They are 99 dollars at Walmart
Ok I’m confused because I’ve seen a list made by beats and apple showcasing the buds and AirPods that support spatial audio and these came up on that list, so do they or do they not? Like I’m genuinely annoyed by this
I don't have issues with the mic at all that is with me near a loud AC no one has complained.
Do you like beats studio buds or beats fit pro
I am using Linux Desktop primarily for programming, while also have been testing macOS in VM, enjoying watching TH-cam videos about M1 MacBooks and I would love to get my hands on Macbook 14 :), Unix, Optimised OS, Boosted ARM chip, Great battery; Unrivaled Laptop for programming .
Requesting a comparison between beats and galaxy buds pro !!! 🔥🔥🙏🙏🙏
Hi max please could you make a review on beat fit Pro ?
After January 2022 update it has got volume control and iCloud pairing.
Does that mean it switches automatically when we use different devices?

I prefer Beats Studio over Airpods /pro, for better sound, battery life, comfort, noise cancellation, and won't slip out of your ears running! The only thing I wouldn't recommend them for are calls.
I use mine for music only basically so I’m very happy with them so far
These are the goat🤣🤣🤣 damn good buds I can’t hear anything at work
I got my when they got out and I have had them for like a month every time I listen to music full blast I keep on getting a annoying static noise that hurt my ears it’s really annoying and sucks so I can’t really listen to music without hurting me I really need someone to tell me what is wrong
Video was almost perfect but…… these do have spacial audio, you don’t get head tracking. Almost had it bud !
But are they better than Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro?? Those are the best sounding headset ever so far for me. Talk about bass.
Are these the pros or just the buds?
I encourage ppl to watch at least a few review videos for the beats Studio Buds. Its interesting how perspectives differ. The other eviews I watched didnt complain about the mic even tho they acknowledged that its not as good as the Apple earbuds
Does the case charge the buds?
i pre ordered these i immediately wrote these of as trash especially the transparency mode. I will buy these again and try them out. Still my go to is the new sony and the galaxy buds and of course the airpod pros
Nope they’re still trash!!!!
Great review, thanks
What I can say is though with my old AirPods pros I don't know if it was my model. The microphone hardly worked, Had connectivity issues, and the touch controls was inconsistent. I was struggling honestly and it didn't make it no better that one of the AirPods stopped working it was like very weak in sound I couldn't hear anything. I wish I had AirPods pro that truly worked to see how they stack up
It was definitely your specific model, my airpods 2 and AirPods Pro work great for music and calling and connectivity issues
Why in beginning video
When you show case with earphones
It clearly shows “666”
It’s supposed tk be bbb but clearly looks like 666
I agreed until you said they’re better than the Powerbeats Pro.
Just got these from Amazon, but they are 'tinny' sounding when compared to the previous Beats that I have. Can this be adjusted somehow?
