Austin I'm really learning a lot from you man!!! I'm lookin forward to following in the footsteps and using your examples, thanks for what ya do, keep up the good work.
This is EXACTLY what I’m looking for, thanks so much man! Don’t have the stitching machine, do you have any videos showing examples of hand stitching the leather?
Could you do a video showing how you use photo shop and the steps you take to create the design. That’s the last step I need to figure out before I make my own shield. Thanks Austin!!
My dad served as a captain for a dept that changed its number twice I se your video and see "Captain 57 RMES" (dept. he volunteered for from 1981-2011).
Could you send a link of what tool you use to trace your designs? I’m having a hard time with what I have. Cutting through my paper and not very sharp edges to my designs.
Thank you. I do not use a metal strip. The metal strips are added to generic shields because they do not use veg tan leather which is much stronger. They use a cheap leather imitation.
@@AttackLineLeather so you use alcohol based dye. I'm curious if you oil the shield to keep it from drying out, or does the tan kote seem to work for you?
Awesome work! I was wondering if you have the template for the shield available? I am looking to make one for a guy at my station but don’t have an old one to get the dimensions for it.
You are very good. We do the same job, I am a marshal of the Fire Brigade in Italy, my city Taranto. For the leather hobby, I am a beginner, I started a few weeks ago. If I need some information or advice, can I write to you ??? Thanks, greetings Enzo.
