    Cool last name. Have been debating getting one of these but seeing the same last name it gives me a better idea.

    Great video man. Im hoping to have a break in orders soon to make myself one! Good problem to have I guess. I noticed that your sewing machine leaves marks from the grooves on the foot. I had the same problem with mine when I first got it. I took the foot off and filed down the grooves then glued some rubber on it for grip. Works absolutely great and no foot marks that way!

    Are all the fire helmets the Same size I have some first responder buddies would like to surprise them with name strap see you use the bungee cord so is there and standard length to for strap then just take up slack with bungee? Thanks for your time

    • @AttackLineLeather

      Most of them generally are. The one I made measures 34inches. If you make one and then give them the bungie cord material they can make the appropriate adjustments

    Love your content. Why did you dyed after slicking the belt and not before slicking?

    • @AttackLineLeather
      @AttackLineLeather  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For me it is easier to apply the dye after slicking. It also gets a really nice burnish after the dye dries. You can easily dye first though

      Welcome to the craft. For the strap I used hole punch, 1 inch letter stamps, and Chicago screws. You'll need some 8-9oz leather for the strap. Tandy sells some precut straps. And then some Eco flo paint and dye

    • @AttackLineLeather

      @@TheArmysoldier2242 ah yes. If you're quick enough you can use a tooth pick and wipe it off. You can also take an edger and nip a bit of leather off too take up the paint. Youll most likely need to touch it up

      Howdy. Buying tools depends on what sort if leather craft you are wanting to accomplish. If you want to do basic leather crafting such as straps, belts, sheaths, cases, bags, i would start with basic cutting, stitching, and fastening tools. If you are looking into more tooling, i would start a slow progression of buying stamps, swivel knife, and maul. What are you interested in making?
