Two Babies Are No Problem For Super Mom Jazz

The baby Orangutan duo Jim and Joe are exploring their environment and are getting very adventurous. They are increasingly becoming independent but are never too far away from the nurturing arms of mother /grandmother Jazz
Jazz is a proud doting mother of two and as she always attends the the needs of the two babies by continually assessing their individual needs
In this clip Joe wants his mom Jazz and Jim is left behind as Jazz carries Joe and walks off. But not to be left out Jim soon follows taking time to play with big sister Sprout too, who accommodates his playful behaviour!
The video finishes with alpha male Djimat - father off the two babies taking time observe his growing family!

The amazing orangutan family at Dudley Zoo have a fascinating family dynamics!
Orangutan Jazz had recently given birth to her baby son Jim 1 month prior when her daughter Sprout give birth to her first baby -Joe
Unfortunately Sprout being a young first time mother showed little interest in rearing her baby, amazingly her mother and Joe's grandmother Jazz stepped in to raise the baby as her own whilst raising her own baby son - Jim, made possible because she was able to feed both infants due to already having had a baby
The Two baby orangutans - only a month apart in age have grown up with each other as brothers when in fact they are Uncle and Nephew!
These days Mother Sprout has more interest in the two babies as they are growing up and plays with them just like a big sister, with hero mom Jazz allowing her quality time with them! The babies do rum back to mom Jazz most of the time for comfort and feeding
Jim is slightly larger and has lighter fur than his nephew Joe.
Amazingly Jazz took over the responsibility in true hero grandmother style and is still caring for and feeding both babies.
We are sure that the experience and interaction with the babies will enable Sprout to be ready for motherhood next time around.

It was endearing when Jazz was sitting on the platform with one baby, and the other was trying to climb up there to join her. You see this little arm trying to grasp the rope, but Jazz soon got down, so it was all good. Along with Sprout and Djimat, this is a close and loving orangutan family. ❤🦧

Sprout, Jazz's daughter, is Joe's mother. Sprout was 11 when she gave birth and walked away from Joe after he was born. Jazz stepped up and has raised both ever since.
