  • The old router lift was good, but this one is better!
I'm developing some plans for this which are definitely a work in progress but I'll keep them updated here: www.dropbox.com/s/v79aahc08q6...
Definitely let me know what would make them better!

Loving this, I want to build it myself without the motorised lift. My only concern is that the lead screws move so freely, the router will drop while using it. I need to figure a way of locking in the height.

I,m really liking your improved design. The separation of the lift rod from the dust is big and also the hdpe tracks. Can you share your plans?

Thanks! I'm still working on the build but I hope to get some plans together once it's all complete.

    swiveling would be an option

like a tilting feature? Super cool. I'm currently working on re-re-redesigning it (don't ask). Maybe I'll incorporate a tilt

Design is great, Ari - however - do you have a valid reason for speeding up this vid - especially the CAD dwg ? - how can anyone build this if the design build is shown too fast to follow for the sake of time, if that's the reason? Slow this down, if possible, or provide plans - please!. A friend :)

Hey Charles, honestly, I didn't really imagine that anyone was going to try to follow along. I'll be putting together some basic drawings and I'll post a link when they're ready. -a

@@akardasis Hi Ari - I "followed along" because yours is a well thought out good design, that's easy to understand and build. I built your first one and it wobbles way too much. As mentioned, I have the lead screw and HDPE from Amazon. I just need carriage template dims and HDPE W and L dims, which looks to be about 2 - 2.5 in W x 10 in L. cr: :)

@@chazrab1 OK, I'm starting to work on plans but this should be what you need to get going: www.dropbox.com/s/v79aahc08q6wd0i/router%20lift-01.pdf?dl=0. Hope that helps

@@akardasis Got it. Exactly what I needed. Thx for quick response. BTW: hard time finding a coupling nut or ANY nut to fit the weird threads of that lead screw. I know you drilled out and expoxied a coupling nut - I guess if that's the only way ...cr

@@chazrab1 Yeah, I looked around a lot and that's the best I could do. V2 might use a different lead screw
