ELECTRICAL SWITCHES AND POWER OUTLETS

Some smaller firms create their own Power Plans or Lighting Plans. They use different electrical switches (single, 3-way, dimmers, etc.) and power receptacles (single, duplex and 220V). This Revit Tip shows how to load them, use them (and add wires) and how to turn the OFF in the typical floor plans.

The incident with the restroom is a common issue when someone specifies and/or installs a sensor with Passive Infrared (PIR) technology only, where you have to be in the line of sight of the sensor to keep lights active. As an electrical designer, I recommend the use of dual-tech sensors where the sensor makes use of both PIR and Ultrasonic tech to pick up someone in the stall. I really enjoy your training videos!

Thank you Mike for another amazing Video!!! . This is the second time you upload a video which covers the same topic I am dealing with at the moment. I want to show a floor plan with lights, outlets and light switches (as you show yours), but I can't seem to figure this out or how you set up the template you are using. For instance my light switches show in floor plan but not in ceiling plan with lights.... In short a part 2 to this video would be amazing. Thank you so much.

In my Power Plan or Lightning Plan.. all I did was to lower my View Range down to about one foot off the floor!!!! That way you can see outlets and switches and also the lights on the ceiling! :)

Hi sir how r u ..plz make a video on fully curved curtain wall ..i Draw a curved curtain wall but it's not curved...and plz don't hack on mullions i want true mullion...some people make a basic ball and change material to aluminium then change horizontal to aluminium wall ...i will send that video...thanku sir

Curved curtain walls are indeed available in construction. But, you will have to pay much more for them than the segmented curtain walls. If your client is willing to pay for true curves then you should use them. But Revit can only make the straight segments. Curved glass also comes at a very height premium price.
