The vote for a new poker club will be held at Farmer's Branch City Hall on Tuesday, May 7th at 6pm. If you live in the area and want to support the cause, please be there!
parking costs $100 for a single person, $60 for 2 in a car, $30 for 3, $15 for 4, $5 for 5+ and some kinda promo if you show up via uber/public transit
Congrats Doug! I hope it passes, can’t wait to come out. Farmers Branch is a great central location, have lived in DFW since 1999. 635/DNT is a main artery for the metroplex, and we’re used to driving across town. Being too close to city center of Dallas would be a nightmare to get to on weekends/evenings. Good luck!
I have a prior commitment in Plano or else I would be there. Good luck to getting your proposal heard and voted on successfully. Having played backroom games, home games, and establishment games; I can definitely say having a legit establishment is the fairest, safest, and smartest way to go.
That's awesome. I think every growing bustling city should have a place for joy and entertainment. Gotta have something fun to do in those country towns.
The lack of parking is a HUGE problem, and will be the reason you will be refused or the reason you should not take that spot. Been there, done that. Parking spots are gold.
I live extremely close by and own a small business but I'm in Addison. The only question is is the city going to be poker friendly? Not all cities are, some are quite hostile ( like Dallas)
By outside the city, they mean Oklahoma. Texas will be the last state in the region without any form of regulated cannabis. Even Arkansas has regulated (medical) cannabis and legal gambling.
I just moved down to Arlington and farmers branch is nice area Texas card house has 2/3 in that area. Good luck I have a security company would love to talk more Doug GL
Doug, I'm on a beach in Thailand and the Mojitos are unending. I wish I was here - and I am - but wishing you the best of luck there and may the sun shine on your plans sir. Chin-chin‼️
There are already multiple card rooms near las colinas / farmer's branch, so you're mostly going o eat into texas card house's players. I would really love to see one in another area of town (further east) and personally feel it would be better for y'all if you wait for approval somewhere like Richardson.
I am from Plano, Tx. Still technically a resident there. However I spend more of my time living in dominicn republic. When home I will 100% come play and could easily plan trips around tournaments
I hope this vote goes well. The parking situation could be dicey. I wish those of us in the Temple, Killeen, Waco area had more options, please build one between round rock and Dallas
Hey Doug, is there anyway we can get in contact via email. We’re on the same street as you, newly purchased facility. Looking to help the city turn that area around. Would love to get in contact to see what we can do to help.
Damn I was just In Dallas for the first time looking for a pokers club ended up a tx card house was wishing I was at the lodge. They don’t serve food ended up getting food poisoning from the restaurant across the street hourly rate was 13$ plus daily fee of 20$ thought that was too much…also tbh Dallas has a huge airline hub i fly their for buss every month from now on… I hope this passes, idk the area but the one I went to in Dallas the hotel they recommended one should be a partnership & hopefully you guys have multiple hotels in that area of different costs & rating because the hotel I stayed at was ok 👌 (but only one within a mile or walking distance)that’s being kind & I had one of their bigger suites. I’ve only done Tournys and been to Austin lodge once but price wise what’s the comparison for membership, everything played significantly bigger it was a 2/5/10/25 game & I like the hourly because it allows me to take a break but I did 5x my money wish I didn’t have to carry it around walking through the area, Doug you should just buy a hotel if there’s one near there maybe as part of roll out proposal…But in Doug and team I trust!
You should be fne with your crediblity and success with the Round Rock Lodge.....Parking will be very tight, unlike at The Lodge round Rock. With 100 tables you will need to have minimum 500 spaces, good Luck!!! i used to live in Dallas and drove over to Round rock once a month to Play....Live in Boca Raton Florida now, you guys should come to South Florida next if Possible, the only real good poker spot we have is the Seminole Hard Rock.....Tons of good commecial space available here in Boca.
I'm interested in investing in poker rooms - I'm a NYC resident - "unknown" poker player (I play a lot, I do well, but also I make sure to welcome ppl to the game) IM me?
Did I mention the date? It's TOMORROW, at Farmers Branch City Hall at 6pm
oh nm i guess one tiny corner of farmers branch does abut the DNT. Basically the card room is in Addison
May 7th?
15" POKER HAAAAARRRRDDD
Yes @@300lbcanary2
Really sad I don't live there anymore, would've loved to support. Best of luck!
I thought this was a Rampage troll :)
Same lol
"Dallas, I NEED $1million!"
OMG me too. It's the only reason I clicked. I am nowhere near Dallas lol
How fucking funny would that be
@@wylde678 kek
Yep...
Good luck with your expansion Doug, wishing you as much success in business as you’ve had in poker.
Best success on the vote, Doug! I'm in and a resident of WA State, so I won't be there, but hoping the best for the project.
A building big enough to hold 100 tables and a parking lot with only 100 spaces - that's quite a challenge to solve!
promoting public transit too!
6 people in each car
I know, just imagine the maths involved in that..
Don't have a clown car full of players, no parking for you!
parking costs $100 for a single person, $60 for 2 in a car, $30 for 3, $15 for 4, $5 for 5+ and some kinda promo if you show up via uber/public transit
City councilman, "what are you going to do about parking?"...Doug - "we'll figure it out"....yea, that will go over really well.
Congrats Doug! I hope it passes, can’t wait to come out. Farmers Branch is a great central location, have lived in DFW since 1999. 635/DNT is a main artery for the metroplex, and we’re used to driving across town. Awesome! Glad to see you're expanding. having one in Houston would be awesome for when I make business trips there!
Hi Brian are you related to harry?
Great timing Doug, you know everyone thought this was trolling Rampage!! #Genius
Good luck Doug! I hope this works out. If i lived in that area I 'd be there for sure
Only if you call the card room The Slodge
GL with the vote Doug as I believe every major city should have access to a decent poker room!!!
Vote No! Anything that helps Doug Polk is something that is bad for humanity.
Maui, Hawaii supports you Doug & the whole card game industry in Dallas, Tex!🤙🏽
I have a prior commitment in Plano or else I would be there. Good luck to getting your proposal heard and voted on successfully. Having played backroom games, home games, and establishment games; I can definitely say having a legit establishment is the fairest, safest, and smartest way to go.
doug polk and his team of 5-10 analysts are one of the best heads up players of our time. props!
I hope this went well I will definitely be buying a membership if this gets approved
Need to figure out the parking. Virtually no one wants to valet at a poker room, especially in a warehouse district.
When are you expanding to Long Island, NY?
Good luck, Doug!!! I truly hope this comes through for you. 👍
Lets us know when business coming to san Antonio 🐥🐥🐥
Was wondering when you’re going to go out to Dallas
How did the meeting go? From Canada, but do want to go to your card room in Austin. Good luck!!
It’s a family city, with religious objections. I read an online article.
Hope you get it. Just wondering what the parking arrangements would look like. Does that lot hold a couple hundred cars?
I think it's still better than "The Lodge" in Austin.
Did The Lodge buy Rounders in San Antonio?
Hell ya brother. May be hard to compete with TCH Social since its so nice and safe, but I'll def come out to the new place if it opens!
That's awesome. I think every growing bustling city should have a place for joy and entertainment. Gotta have something fun to do in those country towns.
sending good luck from Seattle! we have the same problem where cardrooms are illegal in the city, so annoying
Another piece of the tourism puzzle. How could they say no to you if you have ticked all their boxes?
Thanks for sharing. I am happy for you.
Wishing your good luck with the councils vote as it would be interesting to see live games and tournaments from Lucky Rock Card Room.
The lack of parking is a HUGE problem, and will be the reason you will be refused or the reason you should not take that spot. Been there, done that. Parking spots are gold.
Good luck with the new location for your expansion. From what it can see parking might be a problem.
Good luck Doug to you and The Lodge team. Let's get a Lodge card room to Dallas and all the tourists
I live extremely close by and own a small business but I'm in Addison. The only question is is the city going to be poker friendly? Not all cities are, some are quite hostile ( like Dallas)
If we get approved we should be good to go.
Hostile. They are ok with poker, but they want it outside the city. Family oriented, churchgoing ⛪️
By outside the city, they mean Oklahoma. Texas will be the last state in the region without any form of regulated cannabis. Even Arkansas has regulated (medical) cannabis and legal gambling.
@@bentonja668 I live in Canada, so I assumed that they meant, the Dark Side of the Moon 🌙
We’ll be there to support!
Will see you there!
Good luck Doug. The building looks awesome...Perfect for a card room.
Are you going to have mechanics for dealers too? It seems the trend in Texas poker
Ooo buying card rooms in San Antonio, Dallas and where else?
I hope it works out, I would play tournaments there 👍 Is poker legal near TX motor speedway? That would be a good spot.
I will be there tomorrow to support the effort, Doug. Good luck!!
Please tell me you’re gonna have tractor-trailer parking there. I am stuck in Dallas all day one day a week and I would love to be able to play poker.
Okay but did you buy Rounders in SA or nah
Commenting to support! The lodge is awesome
Good luck. I'm in Canada and if there was a card room in Farmer's Branch it would give the family a reason to do the tourist thing there.
Would love to see this work out. Would love to see some legitimate competition for TCH who basically owns the area.
I just moved down to Arlington and farmers branch is nice area
Texas card house has 2/3 in that area.
Good luck I have a security company would love to talk more Doug GL
Doug, I'm on a beach in Thailand and the Mojitos are unending. I wish I was here - and I am - but wishing you the best of luck there and may the sun shine on your plans sir. Chin-chin‼️
Welp, that's right where my wife and I are probably moving. Won't be there in time for any kind of vote however. Best wishes man!
I really don't get it. What does this do if there's already social clubs for poker???
Hope there might be room for a semi to park...
Best of luck...
The lodge is my favorite poker room
I live in the next city over. See you there. Can’t wait for the next lodge ma hall
Come on down!
Hope the vote went well….
Waiting for the result! Hope you got it!
Would you put pool tables in there also?
Have to admit that would be a good place to have a room that big. Im SW of Ft Worth now but Id still make the drive for some big events.

Hey Doug, do you have a card room in San Antonio ?
What happened with the vote?
where the hell have you been doug i need my poker content
Location is key, but so is the suze of the poker room, must have plenty of free parking, & have local eateries close by...
Solid Rock Card Room.
Good luck with the vote boys!
Will it be also called the Lodge?
The Farmer’s Breakfast 🍽️
Doug squinting reminds me of Harry from 3rd Rock From the Sun, love it
#noPoker4DougPolk
I didn’t find your argument convincing: something like, “I’m rich and poker ♦️ players are nice ♥️ “
I am from Plano, Tx. Still technically a resident there. However I spend more of my time living in dominicn republic. When home I will 100% come play and could easily plan trips around tournaments

Doug does Dallas. Best of luck brother. 🍻
How did it go?.
He didn’t get the votes
They voted against it 4-1
Good luck! You've got tons of experience working for you
Good luck Doug from a long time fan
There are some top notch brands of palm grease available to greenlight this after a brief yellow light
Can I provide the 🏧 machines?! I'm looking to move out to the area and would love to invest!
How did it go?
How many card mechanics will you have working there?
Damn I was just In Dallas for the first time looking for a pokers club ended up a tx card house was wishing I was at the lodge. Dallas will help you on the condition you start uploading more YT videos. Come on Doug!
Yea, more card rooms😊... more tournaments, more visitors. Ann, Florida fan
Sorry to learn that the ordinance to have legalized card rooms did not pass. Good luck on finding another alternative.
Can someone please open a room in East Plano/Allen/Murphy?? I have to drive 30 minutes to get to any room! TCH, Shuffle, etc
I'm interested in investing in poker rooms - I'm a NYC resident - "unknown" poker player (I play a lot, I do well, but also I make sure to welcome ppl to the game) IM me?
It's been too long Doug. 🙏🙏🔥🔥
Need an update
If the Austin lodge is the Lodge mahal
I recommend the next one be real nice and call it the Bel Lodge gio!?
Any update on the hearing???
Motion was denied 4-1
I hope it went well Doug!
Farmers Vault Card Room (Located in Farmers Branch) - seems like a good name
You are the man!!!
I wish I lived in Texas, i would absolutely support this! Poker at the Lodge is my favorite stream, you guys do it right Doug! Best of luck ❤❤❤
Doing big things! Love to see it
Lodge is great!! I live 5min walking distance!!!
We used to have a store right there, it actually looks like it could be it 😂
will any of the hearing or voting be streamed anywhere for people who want to keep up with it live as its unfolding?
That parking issue is a real problem. Poker players are not going to want to deal with Valet.
I am a dealer in Florida I would like to help open up the room
Love you, Doug!
Id love to play a lodge tournament in dallas
Just go to vegas and build Polk Towers 🎰
This might be one of the best venues to have one
