HIkin' Arizona - Onto the Siphon Draw Basin, beneath Flatiron [Feb. 9, 2018]

- Flatiron Via Siphon Draw Trail is a 8.9 kilometer out and back trail located near Apache Junction, Arizona. Though only recommended for very experienced adventurers, said to be one of the best of Arizona - and i can assure you, it's spectacular!
Because of the temperatures over here, the trail is best used from September until June.

Amazing sceanry and reminds me of when I used to watch cowboy and Indians films when I was a kid. Must admit I would find it difficult to walk there in the summer mind, the heat must be a killer. Cheers Alan

That looks a great climb Wilco! Pity you couldnt go any further, Would have been a great scramble. At 8:30 i see you have met my twin brother eh LOL!
The absolute killers over here are the heat and the superdry air Peter! Was even a bit proud that i had the guts to call it a day ... am not very good at turning around when i should. Looking at 8:30 now LOL!

Go instead where there is no path
