Council closing Top of The Plots Allotment for new school | Has this happened to you?

Well the worst news for any allotmenteer!!!
The Council are closing my allotments to make way for a new school.
Has something similar happened to you?
How did you deal with it?

Sorry to hear about the allotment but if you get a new plot it might work out better.
We have 3 allotment plots in our village but the council gave the tenants on one sight 5 years notice so they can extend the cemetery.
