Well done! You seem to have your needs squared away in the event that you would need to leave in an emergency. I was not directly affected by Hurricane Helene, but live about 20 miles from areas that were impacted. Many of the people that were displaced only had minutes to leave their homes and businesses before massive flooding hit. Sadly, I doubt many of them were able to evacuate with more than the clothes on their backs. While it’s a devastating situation, a go bag like yours could make things a little better until help arrives. One specific note about your bag: you were very thoughtful to include copies of important documents in your kit. In the unfortunate event that you’ve lost your home or other property, copies of legal documents would be helpful in applying for aid. Sorry for the long comment, but your video is a timely reminder of the importance of being prepared for the unexpected.
I have a emergency bag also. have added a sleeping bag, fire blanket, safety glasses, compact camping stove and fuel, thermal sleeping mat.
I got a Gerber bc of you…. And slowly adding to my bag…. My husband and parents think I’m prepping for war or something 😅but I have a little girls to take care of…better over than underprepared
It is always better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it😊
Nice to see you considered the animals too!
Great vid! Thanks for sharing. It's always great to be prepared. In my emergency bag i made sure to focus on food, water and shelter. Got everything from amazon. One of the best purchases i made was buying freezedried food that lasts 15yrs and only needs water.
I have a bug out kit in my car with lots of the same things you have in here. I’m working on a regular bag like yours. Let me suggest a great item to have in your car, a battery jumper. It’s a battery pack that has the jumper cables hooked to it. It holds 3 charges, but it also has a USB port so you can charge electronics for a while with it.
Great video! You probably know this, but a pencil or an all-weather pen is needed for your Rite in the Rain notebook. The pages are coated to make them waterproof, so regular pens don’t work well (and are even less effective when the paper is wet).
@@amandafaucett4085 oh shoot I forgot to add my pencil lol thanks for the reminder. Thanks so much for watching! 😊💕
This was so good. I have been working to put a go bag together, and I have two cats so I'm always thinking of them in terms of an emergency. How would you transport your cats? Do you have cat carriers, backpacks, a cat stroller? I'm just so indecisive on this part because I don't know what is the most efficient or easy to use in an emergency. Just wondering what your thoughts were. Thanks for posting.
Love this! ❤
Have you considered a jetboil Flash Camping Stove or simily system? 😊
Amazing. Wow. I’m travelling with YOU lol 😂
Apparently, the new cars have windows that those window breakers will Not break. Any ideas? The hammer type window breakers?
I wish i could just buy a bug out bag with everything in it already. This feels like too big of a project.
There are plenty out there that are already made….and yes, you would still need to tailor it….but an emergency go bag is worth it to some. 🤷🏼♀️
What’s the weight of bag with your items?
Are you filipina? You sure know how to use that balisong? Kabayan?
I am lol sup Kababyan! Thanks for watching 😊💕
@@TheHandbagConnoisseur hellooo ♥️ Ako din I’m into preparedness. Mag subscribe na ako shortly. Keep up the good work.
I have two bags. One in the car and one in the house. Plus, the mom in case bag. I do need to update the meds in them. And I saw a few things I would like to add to mine. ❤
Same here…because if they say you have 10-15 minutes to evacuate your home, then you have your bag ready and still time to grab another bag with additional items.
