- Hey guys! Today I’m sharing my airplane/travel edc. Hopefully this motivates you to build your own airplane/travel edc. As always, this video is for educational purposes only. Please consult your doctor for any medical advice.
*4:36 I say safety pin, but i meant bobby pin
*Side note: Anything you see in ths video has gone through TSA and entered the UK. However, TSA always has the final say. Lastly the 550 cord tourniquet: I would only use this as a tourniquet in a worse case scenario, if it was all I had. It’s not my first option. Please do your own research.

Omg that tiny Burt’s Bees!
Isn’t it so cute! ☺️
I am a retired combat medic. Sorry but you can not use 550 cord as a tourniquet. It would cut into the skin before stopping the bleeding. You are better off using a T-shirt as a tourniquet, or better yet, carry a real CAT tourniquet. "Do no harm." Otherwise great video!
550 cord is definitely not the best option but in an emergency/worse case scenario if that was all I had I would wrap it around. I have a tourniquet but did not include it in my airplane edc bc I wasn’t sure if tsa would confiscate it. The tshirt idea or even a bandana would work well too. Thanks so much for watching and thank you so much for your service! 😊💕
I love a practical prepper lady! Thanks for sharing!
Yay! Thanks so much for watching! 😊
Wow you pack a lot in that little bag 😊 Alcohol pads are also great for nausea. I learned this on a flight where I randomly go motion sickness (which I never have before) another passenger gave me a couple and they worked wonders.
With my last labor I kept getting really nauseous and the midwife gave me alcohol wipes to smell and it totally worked! No more nausea. I had never heard of it before that.
Yes they are perfect for that! I use them for my patients when they get nauseous. Thanks for watching! 😊
@@meganrichardson6471great natural nausea remedy 😊
Girl you are so ready…I’ve never seen a cuter lip balm ever. LOL 💋 I think I got some ideas. I have a pouch that looks a lot like yours and I feel like a slacker seeing all the goodies you carry. I could use some everyday things like pain reliever, bandaids, some cough drops. 😊❤ Thank you for the nice video
I stay ready lol! Sounds like you stay ready too. Glad you got some ideas for your pouch. Thanks for watching 😊💕
Very nice. Love how everything is all in the bag!
Thanks so much for watching! 😊
This is so helpful!! Girl I’m making a list of everything you pack and I’m going to add everything I don’t already carry. I already carry a sewing kit and thank goodness I do because my husband ripped his tux pants 15 minutes before we needed to leave for a wedding and I was able to sew them right up! Always so worth having some emergency bits and bobs because you just never know!
Yay so glad my videos are helpful! A sewing kit is a must for sure! I bet your hubby was happy you had it lol I appreciate you for watching!😊
Great little kit, mine is very similar. I also carry imodium, a small hand mirror, a little collapsible fan (especially useful in the summer!), a very small phone stand (mostly for video calls with my family), two very small USB cables, one of the 'picks' used to open SIM card slots, ginger chews, and recently added some SHOUT wipes. I do carry foldable scissors as well, but I also have small x-acto knives and sometimes bring those along. Obviously not for flights. :)
Love that you have the fan in yours. I have a mirror in my bag and a phone stand on my phone (popsocket). You know what’s funny, I had to add Imodium for a family member on my latest trip so I will definitely have that in my edc always. Thanks so much for watching! 😊
@@TheHandbagConnoisseur it's a very lightweight foldable fan :) but when it's very hot and if I can fit one, I like to bring handheld electric fan. Never tried a popsocket but I've seen some very cute ones... And I think, especially for travel, imodium can be a true beacon of hope! I've helped many a friends and family members too :)
Imodium was a beacon of hope for my last trip. I love having a popsocket on my phone, it’s a phone stand on the ready 😊
@@TheHandbagConnoisseur imodium prevents something that can quickly ruin any trip, or even outing, so it's great to have at home and in our bags :) I'll have to look into maybe finding a good popsocket to try out. I have some other kinds of items to stick to the back of my phone, but can never commit to using them 🤔
Tons of great ideas here for both men and women. Thanks for posting this video.
Thank you! I appreciate you for watching! 😊
I love this! You are so prepared
Thank you! I appreciate you watching! 😊
Great little kit, I would add in lotion, and maybe a bottle of hand sanitizer or a few more of the individual ones, as well as some disinfecting wipes to clean up the seat arm rests and the tray table. I always do that on a plane. Otherwise LOVE this kit.
I always have lotion, sanitizer and wipes in my bag. The wipes are a must to sanitize everything. Thanks for watching! 😊
Great EDC pack. The only thing I would change would be the regular pen for a telescopic ballpoint pen that could be included inside the bag. But otherwise, great video. Thanks.
Why a telescopic ballpoint pen?
@@slee7614 Because it would probably fit inside the bag, instead of hanging outside where it can potentially fall. More practical and safer. Will also take less space.
Great idea! I will look for one on Amazon thanks! 😊 thank you for watching!
Very cool kit!
Thanks so much for watching! 😊
so tiny yet everything is useful! i carry almost everything on your list on a daily basis but my containers are bigger, hencey my bag is big as well. this is a good idea! thanks!
That’s great! Sounds like you’re always prepared. Thanks for watching 😊
Good supply kit!
Thank you 😊 I appreciate you watching!
This was great thank you so much.
Thanks so much for watching! 😊💕
I had no idea you could take a collapsible pair of.scissors. I need to add a few of these that I don’t already currently carry!! Bobby pin, scissors, flashlight, specifically. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who is this prepared.
Yeah per TSA “must be 4” from pivot point”. I got through TSA pre with scissors with no issue. Glad you’ll be adding more items to your edc. Thanks so much for watching! 😊
Where did you get the tiny Burts Bees!?!
I’d like to know too!
I found some of those at Target around Christmas. I don’t know if it’s a year-round thing but they definitely had them then and they were so cute that I bought a set for all of the girls in my family, including myself. Lol.
I got them from Target during Christmas time. It was a stocking stuffer gift. If I find similar I’ll link them 😊
Search for Burt’s Bees Holiday Minis
Amazing! I'll try to make an EDC just like yours! Greetings from Mexico
Yay thank you so much for watching all the way from Mexico! 😊
Very useful video. Where did you get that teeny tiny chap stick?
I got it from Target during Christmas time. It was a stocking stuffer lol if I can find one I’ll link it. Thanks for watching! 😊
Your kit is 11 out 10
Wow thank you! I appreciate the compliment. Glad you’re here 😊💕
Are you doing a packing video? (Please please)
Yes I am 😊 stay tuned!
I noticed you carry a lot of wound and emergency health items! I hope to sit next to you if I ever get sick or hurt myself on a plane! 🛫
lol yes I do! I’m a nurse and I was a wound care nurse for a while. Can’t wait to sit next to you lol 😂
Wow! You should sell these!!😁
That would be awesome! I’ve been thinking about it. Thanks for watching 😊
I looked at your link for the mesh pouch but there are several. Which size did you use in your demonstration?
I just updated the link sorry about that
Great stuff. Are you a nurse ? I'm definitely going to add some of this to my edc.
Yes I am. Thanks so much for watching! 😊
@@TheHandbagConnoisseur thanks for sharing !!! So many fab ideas
Where did you find the gold carabiner?
It was part of a lululemon bag I purchased. I will link it 😊
I did not know that tweezers or collapsible scissors were TSA approved
Yup! On their website it states it’s allowed and I’ve always gotten through with them. But as always TSA agents always have the final say. Thanks for watching! 😊
Where did you get the thermometer?
Ditto - where did you get the thermometer?
These specific ones I can’t remember but I will link similar ones from Amazon 😊
I linked them in the description box. It’s not the same exact ones but similar 😊
Thank you!
what does EDC means (sorry ... I am french- !
Every day carry ..just things you can have on you that might be needed
It means everyday carry. Everything you’ll need for day to day and in case of emergency 😊 thank you so much for watching!
Yes exactly! Thanks Caroline 😊
You do NOT want to try and use paracord as a tourniquet. 😢 DIY TQs are only for the movies.
Loose meds in a baggie can be problematic flying international.
In an emergency situation you’ll use even a tshirt as a tourniquet. The 550 cord is definitely not the first choice but in an emergency situation it can help save a limb. But to each their own. I’ve always had loose meds and haven’t had an issue. Thanks for watching 😊
Not approved in international flights especially in Europe
I got through no problem I brought this to the UK, but TSA always has the final say
Really. Because Scissors are seen as a weapon like knives. Then you were lucky. I am working at an international airport. It is an IATA rule.
@@ice20x54guess I am lucky. But since you work there I’ll take your word for it. What should I bring instead? I would hate if the scissors get confiscated. Thanks for your input I appreciate it!
I would add immodium for diarrhea
For my last trip I added Imodium, learned the hard way lol
I carry a small “ In Case” bag but nothing as complete as yours. Great ideas ! I call the “ Safety Pin” a Hair Pin . 🧷 This is what I think of as a Safety Pin. ?
Yeah I meant to say Bobby pin but it came out as safety pin ahahah thanks so much for watching! 😊
So much in that pouch! Where did you get the sewing kit? I would love to get one. Great video.
That almost looked like one a hotel would give you? You could make one at home. A couple 2/3 buttons, some thread and a few needles put it in a little pouch
Great video. I would add some Immodium to the first aid packet. 😊
@@cheryldekoevend6626 it’s funny I added Imodium from my last trip because a family member needed it. Now I’ll always have it in there 😊
Mine is from a hotel. However you can create one yourself or purchase premade ones. I’ll link one for you in the description box 😊 thanks so much for watching!
