One interesting thing I have observed about men out in public is many men wearing flip-flops or sandal type shoes. If I ever go out of my house I make sure to wear a good sturdy tennis shoes or boots or something. If I need to retreat from a dangerous situation or I get in an accident or need to change a tire or something like that I want to make sure that I have some good sensible footwear.
During the last hurricane, I had to drive out to bucees an hour away to get gas for our generator. We made it a family trip. While the rest of the area was in chaos. Bucees was business as usual. Awesome place!
Been using Buc-ee's as my resupply point running supplies from eastern TN to western NC after Helene. They have had everything that I couldn't find at Walmart/Sams/Home Depot/etc. Surprisingly well equipped store for "just" a gas station.
Day 250 of the Texas Zombie Apocalypse Situation looks grim. We've moved close to the ruins of Frisco. Low on 5.56 ammo. The zombies got Greg last night. Almost out of Beaver Nuggets.
TY 🙏😊 Knottheory for Lol 😆🤣in these grim times. Thankful people 😀 can still laugh, with all that is bombarding our senses. God's blessings To You and Yours.✝️🕊️✨🛐
We have a Buc-ee's here in alabama on the gulf coast. It is a popular stop for locals and tourists headed to the beach. Its so busy that it is a madhouse on any day of the week. Even in the middle of the night.
It got so bad this summer I had to start avoiding it because it was such a madhouse inside and outside with so many tourists. It also doesn’t help it only has two entrance/exits from the parking lot, very poorly designed. Hopefully the tourists are going away since school started back up and I’ll start patronizing it again during my monthly visit to Pensacola.
That's funny you made this upload. I picked up a sling pack from Bucee's and turned it into a get home bag. I have a habit of overloading and the single strap has held up great after years of use.
Sling bags are cool for around town, 100% fail on a hike. Get a real bag with a hip strap and either a rigid internal or external frame. I have the internal frame and was able to replace the insert with a LVL IIIa plate.
Great video Sootch, we should all have a little fun while prepping. Making prepping a hobby and having fun with it helps make it less stressful. Learned a lot from this video and thanks for showing us all, how to have a little fun. The last comment had me in tears. 😂😂😂😂
Hey kids! For today's video: How to MacGyver any situation using the gas station store with Uncle S00ch!😅 Very awesome video, thanks for the ideas 😊. Btw, Buc ees is 😊amazing. Stopped for the first time last year.
G'day mate. We don't have Buc Cees in Australia, but we do have Bunnings, Aldis & BCFs. We always stay to the end for the bloopers. Keep them coming matey. Cheers.!
I literally bought a house that already had a clothes line and was so excited. I also have another drying rack for the wet weather days. I use a toaster oven/air fryer and an instant pot since they save you so much money
Thanks for putting this video together. Extremely useful for me especially as I have a buc-ees 10 minutes away. Really surprised they don't have duck tape or any type of bandanna, wow.😮
There's a Buc-ees in South Carolina right off 95 that we stop at everytime we venture down to Florida. Last go 'round, I bought a Cold Steel SR1 Lite off the shelf for maybe forty bucks, which was a good deal, and I also bought some garlicky cherrywood smoked jerky for a much less reasonable price. All in all, they've got some decent stuff.
I love going to Buc ee’s this is the first time I saw a bug out bag build there. Great video sir! The Dark chocolate espresso beans are great for energy. I buy those every time I stop there.
Bucees has bandana, when I bought mine they were with their clothing and were bright red and beaver branded. they aren’t cotton but great for sweat. I’ve used the Yukon stuff for a bit their cross body sling was my hospital tech kit for a while. I’m still using that water bottle for about a year now. It’s dented a good bit and some of the coating has come off from abuse but it still keeps the ice and water cold for at least my 12 hour shifts.
Go to the sandwich station, get them to make you a double meat BLT, add an egg l, with chopped turkey on Texas toast. Hot salsa and bbq sauce. A large cherry slurpee. Eat it before you leave the Bucee's You won't need to eat for 268 miles.
I'd have to go back to the store first and get the biggest stuffed Bucee Beaver they have then split him open out in the woods like a Star Wars Tauntaun and crawl inside.
I live in Clute, Texas where the very first Buc-ee’s store was started. They are trademark in southeast Texas. Good to see the owner Beaver Applin expanding his business across the south and into other areas of our great country. Also, thanks Don for continuing to put out great sensible prepper videos!
I use a 10L dry bag as a bug out/get home bag. You'd be surprised how many items one can fit inside. No way to cook, no extra underwear or socks. No real food. No soap, towel, or cleaning rag(dishes and body). I'm glad I have my much smaller bag, with all of that you didn't have(including spices, chicken and beef bullion cubes, dried vegetables and jerky). My knife, fire kit, machete and axe goes on my belt and my sleep system goes around my neck(tarps, wool blanket, monk's cloth blanket). I also have purification tablets inside the small mess kit and a small first aid kit.
Very educational, thanks! I learn so much from each of your videos, taking notes, researching, and then purchasing prep supplies. Love the bumper music on this one.😀
I have one kisluxs bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...
I need to add protein bars, all ready have spool of fish line weights and hooks. Survival blanket silver keeps heat inside. Butane and camp stove. Percolating coffee pot. Baggies of coffee. Purification tabs. Much more.

3 minutes without "Air" not only refers to air, it is a metaphor for bodily functions. If you are bleeding out, or if you are in anaphylactic shock (or other forms of shock), you may only last 3 minutes without medical intervention of some kind.
Did you know that buccees has a bargain barn? It’s amazing. It’s not a fuel station or anything it’s just basically a buccees dollar general. It’s spelled buckys though so idk if it’s the same company but it looks like it is. Same mascot too.
Out west we have something called Maverick truckstops. They are very nice, with clean bathrooms and hot food. But I understand they don’t hold a candle to Buc ees. Hoping they move west
Buc-ee's doesn't care to cater to the truckers and don't allow them on the property unless they are delivering to the store. No pesos from me will ever go to Buc-ee's.
This was surprising and very cool. Thanks. Another good idea I’d like would be if you would would try the same kind of thing at places like Buc-ee’s, Harbor Freight, Walmart, Bass Pro, heck, even Dollar General with a set small budget. Maybe even at different budgets like $100, $200, etc. Just a thought. I always enjoy your videos. Keep it up. By the way, which Buc-ee’s was this? Florence maybe? I’ve been to that one a lot. I hear that!
Yeah fill up on food that needs refrigeration and having no power.

Buccees is the type of capitalism we need. Black rock is the type of capitalism we get most of the time.

Amen!
Who owns, runs, and founded blackrock? Thats your answer, i fink.
Look up how they are about truckers on their property. We don't need that type of anything from Buc-ee's.

I had never even seen a Bucees until we went on a road trip to TX last year, they are so cool! I wish we had them in MN.
We need a store like that in Northern NY
You need some Meijer locations out that way too, and Pick 'n Save!
Now you need to make a video of "camping out" with your Buc-ees gear.
He definitely does need to do at least a 48 hour “survival situation” using only the items in this 🎒 pack.
Ya in Texas 😊😊
Thanks for sharing this great video. I love the reminders of things I might have forgotten. Always make a stop at Buc-ee's.
Because of videos like this, I do this in every store I go to. Buc-cees is one of the best.
And those Yukon hammocks are made in Tennessee!
We have a few of them in Florida. As a matter of fact, they are building a new one near Fort Pierce.
