I just wish they put the umbrella scene in the movie, That scene was and still is one of my most favorite scenes in the show, just the whole first meeting between adrinette is my favorite. The fact that marinette was mad at adrien when they first met, we will never get that again and adrien was so awkward. And the sincere apology from adrien, his hand towards marinette with umbrella, the rain, the thunder, adrien's soft smile, the moment marinette fell in love with him, the start of their friendship, the whole fricking atmosphere was so magical, it gave me red string of fate vibe, like we would see red strings attaching them. I'm sorry for this rant BUT I JUST LOVE THIS SCENE

the movie is the best movie I have ever seen. my dad and my brother think its cringe but im like EXCUSE ME ITS COOL. the songs and the scenes with adrien and marinette and ladybug and cat noir made me cry. I love the new cat noir and adrien and ladybug/marinette. i do think that Gabriel/hawk moths chin was too pointy but other than that the movie gave tears in my eyes and I would draw them 24/7 in class. and the hints from the series just MWAA i hope the movie gets a sequel. dont you guys?

What really surprised me from what I've been seeing on social media is that apparently a lot of people didn't know that it was going to be a musical or that it was going to be Jeremy Zag's version of their origin story rather than Thomas Astruc's and they hated both of those aspects of the movie. I haven't been watching the show from the beginning like a lot of people (I discovered the show in late 2020) but I think I've known that the movie was going to be a musical and be different from the show since I first heard about it.
I loved the movie the only thing I didn’t like was how they didn’t let the voice actor of Marinette sing for her. And when Mari sings it sounds nothing like her speaking voice so yeah that ruined it for me

One thing I liked about the film was how they handled Ladynoir. What I enjoyed was actually seeing Marinette fall in love with both Adrien & Chat. Through the lyrics of their duet, Ladybug says his eyes move her and she was looking at him like she was falling in love. I saw this on Twitter but in a book tie in, they confirm she indeed love both sides of him but was conflicted. She felt the same way as him but wanted to be loyal to Adrien until she found out they’re the same person. ^^

the reason lou sing it's all about the contact that her and lenni kim sign just to sing for both eng and french and for movie vr since the movie was suppoused to released long ago... and since lenni kim left they got eillot to sing for french and drew ryan scott.. for english and pretty sure its common for some dubs to let someone else sing anyway despite some VA actually can sing.

Yeah, the general consensus seems to be that, on the "Adrienette" side of things, that aspect would have benefit from a little more time in the oven, and that's a perfectly valid perspective to take (I think they were simply hoping that what we saw in the montage would be enough to get the point across). That being said, I CAN kind of see why they pulled back on that a little bit, because it jived more with the story the movie was trying to tell. Just like there was a reason the identity reveal was saved for the very end, because if Marinette and Adrien had found out beforehand, it would have led to a completely different climax. After all, if Marinette and Adrien were on the same page, odds are, they would have easily defeated Gabriel, powered-up or not. But while I'm certain the audience would have found that much more cathartic, the thing is that super hero movies generally see the heroes in a situation which purposely puts them at a disadvantage for the final battle, and this was it. Because Marinette and Adrien had fallen out of sync, it allowed Gabriel to gain the upper hand (we can only hope that doesn't become an ongoing thing later on, with any sequels, because let's face it...that would be bad🤞). As for the potential for sequels, I couldn't even begin to guess what's going to happen there, except to say that I HOPE we get to enjoy the payoffs that this movie gave us. I would also say that while the pre-credits scene at the end definitely nods in the direction a second movie would go, one can hope that if a third movie gets made, that it'll completely break off and start going its own way. After all, there are plenty of plot points and story beats from the show, that wouldn't need Gabriel of Emelie around to make them work. In fact, I would argue that outside of the "Agreste Arc", those stories would actually work better, since they would be allowed to stand and develop on their own. At least, that's just MY thinking on it.

I discovered the movie by bringing my daughter to see it in cinema and I loved it. It made me watch the show and I loved it too. I agree with you about almost everything. I would insist on the animation that was absolutely breathtaking. It reach the level of the best animation made by Disney and Pixar, even some of their last movies are not as beautiful as Miraculous. Problems I would add, that you don't mention is that there are too many songs in my opinion and too many songs for Marinette. There are 8 songs, Marinette takes a part in 5 of them and she has the longest ones when Adrien takes a part in only 3 songs. That create an imbalance in character developments and maybe a frustration for people preferring Adrien. If they would have remove one or two songs of Marinette, that would have let more time to develop Adrien's feeling for Marinette. Because as it is in the movie, when Marinette ask Adrien for the prom, it look like he really does not care and is just drowning sorrow. We don't ever see him having any romantic interest for her, not even one look. That is the only true grievance I have against the movie (lets not talk about farting Plagg... Please !) That or it should have been 15 -20 minutes longer ! That would have been even better !
I LOVE THE FREAKING MOVIE!!! Ladynoir is like my favorite ship in the show, which definitely backed it up? I love how they used careless whisper multiple times 😭. It’s such a good movie and I recommend it!
What I find weird is that some of the songs remind me of several songs from Frozen, especially "If I believed in me" really reminds me of the one Anna sings when the gates are opened for the crowning (is that what its called)
I agree with you on most points (I loved the story, the characters, the whole LadyNoir dynamic, SO MUCH of this film was amazing), but not so much your points about the songs. Don't get me wrong, the music was beautiful. "Stronger Together" is probably one of my favorite songs of 2023. But to me, a lot of the other songs felt... out of place, I guess? "If I Believed in Me" just kind of smacked me in the face with how suddenly it came on, "Courage in Me" broke up the action during the carnival sequence and threw the pacing off, and "Chaos Will Reign Today" was just... weird. Not bad, it was a fun song, but it also felt out of character for this version of Gabriel. Movie Gabriel is portrayed as a desperate, broken man who is unable to move on from his grief. Not a hammy cartoon villain. That role is reserved for show Gabriel.
Amazing video and amazing points. I really loved the movie but the difference between Marinette's singing voice and speaking voice really threw me off. I wished they'd let Cristina sing, especially considering that she can sing. And Chat Noir was so cute, all the arcs were great, loved how Gabe and his grief and Adrien's grief was shown (Plus the fact that they made Gabe actually SYMPATHETIC and redeemable), the animation is STUNNING, Ladynoir, NO WORDS ❤I love your vids ❤

So... theory, there will be a second movie in which natalie begins using the peacock miraculous to bring emilee back to life, in that movie we see some amazing adrienette and ladynoir scenes, then rena rouge and carapace join in and maybe queen bee, i don't know it just makes sense to me. :)
The movie was good but there were some flaws in and good. The reveal was good and cute but i felt it was forced a bit. they did Gabriel really good in this flim. Marinette isn't a stalker in this one which is great. the songs are good but im devastated that Christena didn't sing the rolls for marinette but the other singer is good to.

I think the songs were just like, no. For me, they were kind of wasting precious time when Mari could have already transformed, but then theres a song and she doubts herself for no reason, which I know is in character for her, but made me kind of mad. Marinette's voice does not match her appearance and normal talking voice, which disturbed me. Monarch's song was...interesting, so to say. I also felt secondhand embarrassment from Cat Noir when he confessed at the end of the movie, but like, that song was super cute :D, just made me want to cry when LB rejected him. However, I do think a lot of the songs were really pretty. Other things about the movie, I like how they softened up their appearances. Alya still looks a little funky, but Mari's eyes are softer, unlike the show, where her eyes were very unusually round. I think both Show and Movie Adrien looked good in their own individual styles. I do like that you mentioned that Adrien's feelings for Marinette weren't as obvious, even though they definitely existed.

I was thinking the exact same thing when i heard that the movie was going to be a musical! I was so scared that i was going to end up hating it because of the songs 😂my brain was like, “i don’t think the categories of superhero, action, and musical match well”. I was also expecting them to sing during the action scenes. I had so much relief after watching the movie!! Anyways, it wasn’t what i expected IN A GOOD WAY, just WOW!! The songs were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING (and the movie was too ofc)! there wasn’t a single song i disliked!!! Never watched the show but watched tons of entertaining reviews of people ripping it apart. And yeah the show is a damn mess. The more "unique" feature of the show is the love square which as you said sounds cute on paper but my god I could not bare to watch the stupid will they won't they for 5. 5 entire seasons. All I know from the show is the reviews of it, and what I got was, Marinette is a stalker who is obsessed with this poor teenage boy, said teenage boy lives a miserable life being objectified by all the romantic rivals Marinette gets rid of throughout the show because it's "romantic", the side characters barely matter, and the only one who does (Chloe) gets vilified and deemed as a forever evil entity (she is 14). My god. Miraculous is a mess. So I watched the movie. And... gonna be honest I really liked it. It's trashy fun. It's a lighthearted and very sweet. Gone are the stalker tendencies, gone are the continuous advances after the girl said no, replaced with genuinely charming banter and building of a friendship between both identities at the same time (Adrien + Marinette, Ladybug + Chat Noir). I truly believe the only reason people find this movie so good or better than the show is because... sadly this movie did what the show didn't in 5 seasons. The bare f**king minimum. I don't blame the movie for being rushed or having very bare bone fleshing out of characters, they did have to cram 5 seasons into an hour and 40 min. There are things the movie could have done better. Honestly the music was fine but not everything needs to be a musical. Coming as someone who loves musicals, this should not have been one. The show itself isn't. It could have been 10 - 15 min longer. Why did we need so many scenes with Marinette's parents. She gets a lot of scenes with them for some reason but the one character who NEEDED scenes with his parent barely gets 2. Like come on. Give those min of screentime to Adrien and Gabriel Agreste instead. And then use the rest of those min to flesh out the romance of the characters a little more. Especially when they're "off mask" (Why the hell would Marinette 'choose' Adrien, the guy she's barely friends with, over Cat Noir, who she has been through so much with and saved her life so many times) But you know what. It's fine. It's a perfectly fine movie. Nothing too wrong about it, it's a movie to truly turn your brain off and enjoy with popcorn. Some scenes are genuinely so charming. Some of the jokes are quite funny, the action scenes are an absolute delight. I have to say my favorite scene in the entire movie was when the two protags just stopped for a second to have some fun and play fight. I don't know why but my god that was so cute. Like for once you can see a little bit past these fearsome powerful heroes and realize the teenagers they are inside. Who just stop for a second after their constant lives of danger, to have wholesome fun with each other. I loved that.

Adrien is ready to take on life and move forward since the beginning of the show. He’s a fighter even before he became a superhero, despite the lost of his mother. But in the movie, you feel his lack of eagerness to move forward not until he met ladybug and became Cat Noir. 😢 I didnt like how his character depended to Ladybug in order to gain purpose.

But while I'm certain the audience would have found that much more cathartic, the thing is that super hero movies generally see the heroes in a situation which purposely puts them at a disadvantage for the final battle, and this was it. Because Marinette and Adrien had fallen out of sync, it allowed Gabriel to gain the upper hand (we can only hope that doesn't become an ongoing thing later on, with any sequels, because let's face it...that would be bad🤞).
As for the potential for sequels, I couldn't even begin to guess what's going to happen there, except to say that I HOPE we get to enjoy the payoffs that this movie gave us. I would also say that while the pre-credits scene at the end definitely nods in the direction a second movie would go, one can hope that if a third movie gets made, that it'll completely break off and start going its own way. After all, there are plenty of plot points and story beats from the show, that wouldn't need Gabriel of Emelie around to make them work. In fact, I would argue that outside of the "Agreste Arc", those stories would actually work better, since they would be allowed to stand and develop on their own.
At least, that's just MY thinking on it.

Even though Lou has a beautiful voice, she doesn’t sound like Marinette. Mari has a very shy and calming voice and in the songs when she sings, it makes her sound like someone else is speaking through her.
what really gets me is the fact that they never gave her a reason as to why she couldn’t sing in it😃
I discovered the movie by bringing my daughter to see it in cinema and I loved it. It made me watch the show and I loved it too.
I agree with you about almost everything. I would insist on the animation that was absolutely breathtaking. It reach the level of the best animation made by Disney and Pixar, even some of their last movies are not as beautiful as Miraculous.
Problems I would add, that you don't mention is that there are too many songs in my opinion and too many songs for Marinette. There are 8 songs, Marinette takes a part in 5 of them and she has the longest ones when Adrien takes a part in only 3 songs. That create an imbalance in character developments and maybe a frustration for people preferring Adrien.
If they would have remove one or two songs of Marinette, that would have let more time to develop Adrien's feeling for Marinette. Because as it is in the movie, when Marinette ask Adrien for the prom, it look like he really does not care and is just drowning sorrow. We don't ever see him having any romantic interest for her, not even one look. That is the only true grievance I have against the movie (lets not talk about farting Plagg... Please !) That or it should have been 15 -20 minutes longer ! That would have been even better !
I LOVE THE FREAKING MOVIE!!! Ladynoir is like my favorite ship in the show, which definitely backed it up? I love how they used careless whisper multiple times 😭. It’s such a good movie and I recommend it!
What I find weird is that some of the songs remind me of several songs from Frozen, especially "If I believed in me" really reminds me of the one Anna sings when the gates are opened for the crowning (is that what its called)
Both of those songs are what's called "I want" songs. Part of Your World would be another example.

I agree with you on most points (I loved the story, the characters, the whole LadyNoir dynamic, SO MUCH of this film was amazing), but not so much your points about the songs. Don't get me wrong, the music was beautiful. "Stronger Together" is probably one of my favorite songs of 2023. But to me, a lot of the other songs felt... out of place, I guess? "If I Believed in Me" just kind of smacked me in the face with how suddenly it came on, "Courage in Me" broke up the action during the carnival sequence and threw the pacing off, and "Chaos Will Reign Today" was just... weird. Not bad, it was a fun song, but it also felt out of character for this version of Gabriel. Movie Gabriel is portrayed as a desperate, broken man who is unable to move on from his grief. Not a hammy cartoon villain. That role is reserved for show Gabriel.
Amazing video and amazing points. I really loved the movie but the difference between Marinette's singing voice and speaking voice really threw me off. I wished they'd let Cristina sing, especially considering that she can sing. And Chat Noir was so cute, all the arcs were great, loved how Gabe and his grief and Adrien's grief was shown (Plus the fact that they made Gabe actually SYMPATHETIC and redeemable), the animation is STUNNING, Ladynoir, NO WORDS ❤I love your vids ❤

So... theory, there will be a second movie in which natalie begins using the peacock miraculous to bring emilee back to life, in that movie we see some amazing adrienette and ladynoir scenes, then rena rouge and carapace join in and maybe queen bee, i don't know it just makes sense to me. :)

The movie was good but there were some flaws in and good. The reveal was good and cute but i felt it was forced a bit. they did Gabriel really good in this flim. Marinette isn't a stalker in this one which is great. the songs are good but im devastated that Christena didn't sing the rolls for marinette but the other singer is good to.

I think the songs were just like, no. For me, they were kind of wasting precious time when Mari could have already transformed, but then theres a song and she doubts herself for no reason, which I know is in character for her, but made me kind of mad. Marinette's voice does not match her appearance and normal talking voice, which disturbed me. Monarch's song was...interesting, so to say. I also felt secondhand embarrassment from Cat Noir when he confessed at the end of the movie, but like, that song was super cute :D, just made me want to cry when LB rejected him. However, I do think a lot of the songs were really pretty. Other things about the movie, I like how they softened up their appearances. Alya still looks a little funky, but Mari's eyes are softer, unlike the show, where her eyes were very unusually round. I think both Show and Movie Adrien looked good in their own individual styles. I do like that you mentioned that Adrien's feelings for Marinette weren't as obvious, even though they definitely existed.

I was thinking the exact same thing when i heard that the movie was going to be a musical! I was so scared that i was going to end up hating it because of the songs 😂my brain was like, “i don’t think the categories of superhero, action, and musical match well”. I was also expecting them to sing during the action scenes. I had so much relief after watching the movie!! Anyways, it wasn’t what i expected IN A GOOD WAY, just WOW!! The songs were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING (and the movie was too ofc)! there wasn’t a single song i disliked!!! Never watched the show but watched tons of entertaining reviews of people ripping it apart. And yeah the show is a damn mess. The more "unique" feature of the show is the love square which as you said sounds cute on paper but my god I could not bare to watch the stupid will they won't they for 5. 5 entire seasons. All I know from the show is the reviews of it, and what I got was, Marinette is a stalker who is obsessed with this poor teenage boy, said teenage boy lives a miserable life being objectified by all the romantic rivals Marinette gets rid of throughout the show because it's "romantic", the side characters barely matter, and the only one who does (Chloe) gets vilified and deemed as a forever evil entity (she is 14).
My god. Miraculous is a mess. So I watched the movie. And... gonna be honest I really liked it. It's trashy fun. It's a lighthearted and very sweet. Gone are the stalker tendencies, gone are the continuous advances after the girl said no, replaced with genuinely charming banter and building of a friendship between both identities at the same time (Adrien + Marinette, Ladybug + Chat Noir). I truly believe the only reason people find this movie so good or better than the show is because... sadly this movie did what the show didn't in 5 seasons. The bare f**king minimum. I don't blame the movie for being rushed or having very bare bone fleshing out of characters, they did have to cram 5 seasons into an hour and 40 min.
There are things the movie could have done better. Honestly the music was fine but not everything needs to be a musical. Coming as someone who loves musicals, this should not have been one. The show itself isn't. It could have been 10 - 15 min longer. Why did we need so many scenes with Marinette's parents. She gets a lot of scenes with them for some reason but the one character who NEEDED scenes with his parent barely gets 2. Like come on. Give those min of screentime to Adrien and Gabriel Agreste instead. And then use the rest of those min to flesh out the romance of the characters a little more. Especially when they're "off mask" (Why the hell would Marinette 'choose' Adrien, the guy she's barely friends with, over Cat Noir, who she has been through so much with and saved her life so many times)
But you know what. It's fine. It's a perfectly fine movie. Nothing too wrong about it, it's a movie to truly turn your brain off and enjoy with popcorn. Some scenes are genuinely so charming. Some of the jokes are quite funny, the action scenes are an absolute delight. I have to say my favorite scene in the entire movie was when the two protags just stopped for a second to have some fun and play fight. I don't know why but my god that was so cute. Like for once you can see a little bit past these fearsome powerful heroes and realize the teenagers they are inside. Who just stop for a second after their constant lives of danger, to have wholesome fun with each other. I loved that.

You can have your dislikes of course I have some, and i know your an Adrinette fan and wanted to see more of it in the movie but you have to remember there are more ships (with Adrian/catnoir Marinette/Ladybug)such as: Ladynoir, Marichat and Ladrien. Adrinette basically won over the hole show already so id assume they would switch it up.

I just wished they didn’t change Adrien’s core characteristics much 🥲 I came from the Netflix movie but I love Adrien in the show more. Such a waste to take away his strong mentality. Adrien is ready to take on life and move forward since the beginning of the show. He’s a fighter even before he became a superhero, despite the lost of his mother. But in the movie, you feel his lack of eagerness to move forward not until he met ladybug and became Cat Noir. 😢 I didnt like how his character depended to Ladybug in order to gain purpose.

This movie felt pretty rushed but it was good,i enjoyed it,and in my opinion you'll enjoy the movie more if you watched the show.The show is better, more development not rushed idk it just felt different,i like the origins of the show more.Also how they did the reveal in the movie is pretty unsatisfying,i have a feeling that the show will do a better one.And one more problem that i have with the movie is that we see Marinette liking Adrien and Chat noir so both his personalitiesbut we don't see Adrien liking Ladybug's Marinette side too,i did not like that at all.Also i like the way Marinette fell inlove with Adrien in the show more.Gabriel turning good in the finale felt very veryy rushed.I do not like Emilie's design she looks like a rat idk,she's more pretty in the show's animation.
