Need to get up in 3 hours to take my daughter to school, but here I am catching up on The Smiths. The new song is fantastic, and really hits home, being from a small town with a lot of "country roads" around. I like your song. I never listen to country music so I didn’t have any idea who you were when I started watching your videos. I just started the other day with the bad weather in Texas in 2021. You have a very sweet family. I’m so sorry about your son River. Our daughter Catie went to be with Jesus Dec. 30 2002. She was 10 yrs. old. We miss her so much and when I say my prayers I as Jesus to give her a kiss & a hug for us. We know we will see her again. And it’s going to be Amazing! Because she will be out of her wheelchair....walking & talking!! Can’t wait! I don’t know if you will even read this but love your videos! 😃
I am a bus driver and I couldn't even imagine how those dudes were feeling. But they were amazing. Coming back down would have been the scariest part. Especially with the brakes and weight of the trailer on the other bus. But, beautiful place and love the song THATS WHY I LOVE DIRT ROADS!!

Watching the first of the video, I thought about a band on a bus that ended in tragedy in 1986 (Cliff Burton). Then I saw your driver in a Metallica shirt later, from their Cliff Burton era. Video ended with great music and guys around a campfire. What a rush of emotions in the short video! Bless you, brother!

Gander I love your music !! I have a 4X4 truck just so I can go off road any time I want to. I love a good dirt road and friends to share it with. I live in Arizona so we have a lot of dirt roads. Grew up out dune bugging with my dad, we made a lot of the roads that people use now. Thanks for another great video stay safe and god bless

I was stressing hard over here!!! I pull a little trailer so I was imagining having to do that, freaking unbelievable. I was scared for you guys. I had to back in a driveway on a dirt road with a ravine & that was stressful. I don't do dirt roads with my trailer anymore. Bull is my hero! Both drivers are amazing. What a relief that you all made it safely. I love the song! The way you (or Paul) edited it in here was perfect. Glad you guys are safe! Hope going down was not as difficult 🤞

I moved to rural Idaho 15 years ago and have driven on many now and yes they sure do evoke so many feelings you sang about. Listened with tears in my eyes for the River nods. My best friend lost her son when he was about Rivers age in a heartbreaking accident at their home. Out boys were just a few months apart. They would have graduated high school together last May. I am a truck driver and I do those roads at least once a week in the Santa Cruz mountains. With a 53 foot trailer in a day cab! 😂😂 busses are straight and don’t turn as well, but I loved seeing y’all on the roads I drive so often!
