I have a close friend on a farm out in the Yancey County area near Burnsville. I was frantic to locate her. No answer to phones. Finally I entered a Missing Persons report. I was called back for more detail about my friend, and to say that, no, no contact from her yet. Finally, a few days later, a State Trooper drove out to her farm. She’s fine, but isolated due to impassable dirt road. Still no phone. Had two more friends MIA from the Hickory, NC area. Finally heard from them today. No phone or power for all this time. 😥 But they’re fine. Their backyard of downed trees definitely looks like a hurricane came through! 😳😬😱. Other friends on the Nolichucky in Washington County said they watched in fright and awe as whole homes floated down the river past them. But they just got a basement flooded. 😅 My heart has been slowly breaking since Sept. 27th. The flood arrived in a flash. But the aftermath has been unfolding like a lethal train wreck in slow motion..😢

Dude I’m watching your video missing person search plus River mud Larkin after hurricane that cup that you found with the handle even the piece of glass, even though it didn’t match if you mounted those on some wood and put found at the location and, carving to the wood that this was found on this date at this place and you want to honor that person’s treasure so you would be selling it in honor of the people that were lost and for the people who lost their things and turn it into artwork think about it❤

I would be scavenging for interesting items as well! I have been collecting great driftwood on the Shenandoah River in Virginia. Not as devastating, but it flooded!! Good video!
Randi, any personal items that may belong T o some if the deceased, or engraved with names, needs to go to the local morgue, with the gps coordinates of where you found things. Maybe that shoe is from one of the recovered or missing victims. That persons family member could identify the person if they are missing.😊
My cousin’s grand daughter has been missing. My cousins are in Hendersonville but as a few days ago (my last update) no word yet but maybe they have since my cousin updated me. Jacket you found next to road should have been turned into police dept or excavation crew that most likely got hot working put it off to side of road and forgot it. It does not belong to you. Sad you would make money off of most likely worker that forgot it most likely would come back looking for it. Not good you kept it to sell instead of talking to last work crew on that road or turning into authorities. Don't approve what you are doing. Like ambulance chaser, sorry.
Most of the heavier items are buried. Anything with weight to it. Need to get you a metal detector and then you'll be finding a lot more. Something our town did was put on a display of items recovered after the floood. If it were to big then a photo was used for the display.
I keep thinking about all of the wildlife that will now die from drinking water that was contaminated by human stuff. Hopefully, most of them were able to get away and won't return until the water is clean if it will ever be again.

There are tons of different great organizations taking money donations to help these poor people left in the destructive wake of hurricane Helene. Please don't donate any money to any government organizations like FEMA, or red cross (only donates about 10% of any donation to the people, keeps 90% for administrative purposes). Good ones are Samaritan's purse, Grindstone Ministries, or local churches in NC and TN.

All of the sikt/sand deposited by the folds is absolutely TOXIC, and there are reports of wild animals dying, and dozens of people getting sick from exposure as they disturb the muck to clean things out. Those who are helping clean in that area are wearing full hazmat suits (nuclear fuel production waste, cement plant waste, human waste and more ). Maybe the jacket you found is a sign from someone who git trapped, or slid off the mountain with the mudslides. Tge jacket should be cataloged by the morgue. It might be key in finding or identifying a vuctim during the recovery process

I notice a lot of people on yt are saying things like "I haven't heard from so and so" and don't seem to know the procedure of reporting people that may be in a shelter, missing or deceased. They can't look for people on databases of shelters if they don't have names to look for.. I hope you can reunite the wedding ring with it's owner.
Indeed. When I didn't hear from my .I'm I put in a missing report with the county and a non profit. Once found I notified the county but forgot to call the non profit. They both still called me back to be sure she had been located 24 hours after I put in the request.

In potential defense of the rude woman on the phone: we used to get calls sometimes up to 3 times daily for over 10 years for the former owners of our phone number. Some were clearly trying to set up drug deals, some of them claimed to be the owners' children...none would take no for an answer!

That marbley colored water could be some kind of fuel. I heard there is a possibility that some nuclear related liquid could be in the waters, as well. Search dogs have been dying from being in contact with the waste waters. Take care of yourslef!

I notice a lot of people on yt are saying things like "I haven't heard from so and so" and don't seem to know the procedure of reporting people that may be in a shelter, missing or deceased. They can't look for people on databases of shelters if they don't have names to look for.. I hope you can reunite the wedding ring with it's owner.
Sadly, if that IS a wedding ring, the owner likely ended up in the water with it.
Indeed. When I didn't hear from my .I'm I put in a missing report with the county and a non profit.
Once found I notified the county but forgot to call the non profit. They both still called me back to be sure she had been located 24 hours after I put in the request.

In potential defense of the rude woman on the phone: we used to get calls sometimes up to 3 times daily for over 10 years for the former owners of our phone number. Some were clearly trying to set up drug deals, some of them claimed to be the owners' children...none would take no for an answer!

I've been seeing videos about that too but I haven't heard it personally from anyone about their own animals dying, so I don't know if it's true or not, they said some of the search dogs were dying , but I don't really know because I haven't seen the owner of the dogs say it

If so post on different sites, if person that owned dog maybe it passed and owner wanted to remember it, would be soo happy to have it as most likely lost everything maybe even their lives, some relatives would know owner.
