How to honour Scottish war dead right enough.

The longest castle siege is still going on, in the United States no less. It started in 1921 at a place called White Castle. Slowly, at first, then it gained momentum. As he hungry besiegers grew in numbers, the owner had to expand White Castle to meet the onslaught. The battles raged even outside of the Whit Castle location itself, in communities across the country, as many families were divided over the issue. Strong opinions in favor, or against White Castle, pitted brother against brother, father against mother. Few were spared, and few are spared today. There was even a documentary made a few years ago about the perils of going to the White Castle and the fate of Harold and his friend Kumar. And if you think this part of history is unsavory, wait until you hear about the fighting at Battle Creek, Michigan.

Bruce I must disagree with you in regards to Henry IIIV, he wasn’t strictly a Protestant, unlike his daughter Elizabeth. Henry was by his own account an Anglo Catholic, and all he did was replace the Pope as head of the English Church, with himself. That’s why the English Church wasn’t truly Protestant except during the time of the English Republic, and has to this day retained Bishops and much of the Catholic ceremony, especially the high church, often referred to as bells and smells.
You're not really disagreeing with me. I know all that, but it's difficult enough to keep folks interest for 15 mins without driving them away with theological nuance of which they care naught.

To be fair I was on about Marie de Guise who was, of course, technically no longer queen
You know people say that the Scottish accent is unintelligible
I'm about as American as they come and I watch videos at 3x speed and I can very clearly tell what you're trying to get across.
"That Anne Boleyn is a right cracker, isn't she?" Isn't that hard a sentence to parse from context clues is my point I guess XD
when we visited back before the world went crazy, I often had to translate for my wife.
If we can understand you guys then you should be able to understand us. Some of your compatriots just lack the manners to try
@@ScotlandHistoryTours I now know what a scottish person going on a cursing tear sounds like so...
That's...knowledge that I have! Had to watch through it a half dozen times to overhear it past laughing myself sick though.
is fife really that bad that you would rather drown yourself than visit? XD sounds almost as bad as birmingham
Pretty much yeah 😂
Nah, I like Fifers... but don't tell anyone. I have a reputation to keep.
@@ScotlandHistoryTours your secret is safe with me :')
Great video! 🤙🏴❤️
Thanks! 😃
