Century Old Mak’s Noodle in Hong Kong

  • We had lunch at the century-old Mak’s Noodle restaurant in Hong Kong. We had the famous wonton for lunch today; it's one of the places you just have to go when you're in Hong Kong for wonton noodles. The specialty shrimp wonton dumplings were what we ordered. We also had the wonton noodles with beef brisket. We ordered two wonton sides: the speciality wonton soup and the wonton soup with pork and shrimp.
    The noodles arrived hot and fresh. The noodles have a lovely, chewy texture. When you bit into the juicy, plump shrimp wonton, it had an excellent mouthfeel. My favourite dish was the beef brisket, which was outstanding. The pork and shrimp dumplings were also delicious. It was actually one of my favourites growing up, and every time I eat these bowls, it reminds me of my early years.
    For those who haven't gone to Hong Kong, I heartily suggest coming here as everything is always excellent and delicious.
