What cheerful chap at the end!
Awesome lens review as always Matt. Informative, straight to the point, and upfront just the way I like it. More power to you and your channels! Cheers! :)
Great! Makes me want it. What's the minimum focus distance?
Hi, I am wondering, whether the aperture ring works for Olympus body?~
Cool love to add this to my GH3 and GF5 someday! :)
wow sharp but light fall off is 2 much Matt can you do a few 150% crop on some of theses when they look this good
You'll be enlarging the pixels. Are you sure?
Nice review. Would be cool to compare IQ to the Olympus 45 1.8. I know build quality is different and the Olympus lacks IS, but how about IQ from 1.8 on?
great lens but I think the fuji 56mm will still the show plus it's $600 less. Thanks for sharing!
Better than any Nikorn lens ey ?
Great lens!
Crazy awesome performance, but also crazy price!!!
2x the price of a decent m4/3 body ( gx7 - em-10)...you have to really want to invest in the system....but lovely results...and it's getting harder to decide on what system to invest in with all the new stuff....
Within 25 seconds, she just sneakily took your picture. :-)
Also, I guess it's a nice lens too.
Show the GH4 man !!!
When you blew those shots up that sucker is sharper than a razor blade. LOL
You get what you pay for here.
Why are people complaining that this is too expensive or a crazy price? Isn't the Nikon 85mm f/1.4G ~$1,600?
Thats a full frame lens and this is a m4/3 lens which is smaller and much cheaper to build. So price should have been around half the asking. thats why people are upset.
Asad the great half? are you nuts?
Casey Wright well the makers m4/3 have been praising that reason to buy into the m4/3 is that lens compared to canon or nikon will be much cheaper. So with that in mind, this lens should be cheaper as well.
I prefere the nokton 42.5mm F 0.95 with full frame photo look. Thanks for the review this one too expensive.
Manual focus only, right?
thany3 yes the nokton is only manuel focus.
mimstyle I heard the nokton had a weird bokeh characteristic when taking photos of distant subjects. Is that true?
Just a bit not that much
Fair call. I'll have to take another look at the lens!!
Wow! You can see she's using contact lenses
What's the point of a micro 4/3 not really portable and so damn expensive? I'd rather invest that kind of money for a used 5D and a canon 50 1.2...
AWE!
Nice glas. More vids please. Like 5 a day,
well, if you were on m4/3, particularly the GH cameras, you would know that a big part of its popularity is due to its video capabilities. you've shown nothing but stills in this review.
Good lens,but too expensive! Fujifilm 56mm F1.2 has higher C/P !
Everyone is waxing poetic over this lens, I just don't see the point of such an expensive lens for such a small sensor. Whatever impressive optics is crippled by the not so great sensor.
