I’ve been adding a variety of mixed media to monoprints made on the gel plate.
This is just a quick flip through with no chat. I’m quite pleased with some of them, especially the colourful ones with shading.
I’ve used inktense, soft pastels, poster paint, oil pastels and collage mostly.
I love that I see progression with my art ability. It’s a nice feeling.
I have made a 30 second short of this video too
    I hope you enjoy.

Britta, I am obsessed!!!!! I have also bought water mixable oil paints. I’ve never used them before and they are delightful!!!! I’ve been messing about on a wood panel, canvas panel and of course…gel prints 😂.
You have new emojis!!! Please please please forgive my lateness, I’m so into this that I’m neglecting real life…more than usual 😂🤪😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’m obsessed Barbara…it’s bordering on the ridiculous…but I do have at least a 1000 gel prints so I’m sure I’ll run out of steam before they do.

Hi Wendy, thank you. I’m kind of experimenting in ways that feel right at the time…but I love using gel print as a starting point. It’s like you’re half way there.

@@quirkyqueens I’ve been in and out over the past month with a spot of flu and writing, but please do let me know - or even a week and I’ll catch up on everything you have posted.

I will need to have a look. As long as you’re ok now. I’ll dust off the dictionary as I did the first time I used it!

Love how the different surface qualities act and influence the overall images

Hi Christine, yes!!!! It really does. I’m obsessing over these bright geometric type paintings the way I did with the gel plate!!!

Creativity and fresh ideas come together in these stunning prints - this is art at its best! I LOVE to look at your artpieces, there is always something surprising and interesting to see. Just great!

Aw kokos, I just love reading your comments!!! This is how I want my art to be, I keep telling myself to paint for me…not what I think people will like. I do think I’ve been doing that more and more recently. I really love like making compartments that link together and overlap…if that makes sense!!!!

@@quirkyqueens Painting for yourself - that's exactly how it works. Your inner self shows you the way. And yes, your way of creating makes very much sence! I'm sure you will be very successful with your art. Just believe in yourself!
