I’m too old and disabled now, but loved to cook and feed people, and though midwestern, made mostly common fare, like Dolly. I’ve admired and liked her for many decades, and am sure the fact that others love her too is the reason for the high cost of her cookbook!
Dolly just seems like one of those people in general that is an all around good human being, what with her charity work and stuff. She's got the right idea cooking wise, homemade biscuits and gravy southern style is delicious!

Homemade gravy is so awesome
love Dolly- she didn't say , but I'm gonna guess that most of the revenue from her cook book goes to charity, She's one of the best.
All proceeds go to her Imagination Library through her Dollywood foundation that gives children free books.
