Love them all- they bring the variety needed to keep people engaged.. would love to see an episode on Japanese cooking to include Yakisoba and Tonkatsu- a family favorite or a German segment on Roularden. Plus I watch ATK episodes with Amazon on hand and have purchased the best of everything. I love it, but my husband does not, however he loves my cooking. Thank you❤
Well, I like all of them but what I found particularly disappointing is how they have completely erased CK from the history and origin of the show. ATK recently had a special 25 year anniversary show where they completely sanitized every early show of his presence and pretended that Julia and Bridget had always been the hosts from the beginning! That's disgusting and dishonest.
LOVED that show when it first came on & thought all the hosts were good.... then once the rumblings with Kimball started , you could feel the show's demeanor change. Once Kimball was gone - things appear rosy again and while I like the first couple episodes of his Milk Street show - it has gotten HORRID. On Milk Street there are just too many recipes with fancy ingredients that can't be found in my area.
I don't know if the narrator of this video is a real person or an AI bot, but oh my sweet Lord, the chirpiness of that voice literally hurt my ears. You must get rid of this voice or I am not clicking on anymore.
The narrator of this video has one of the most irritating styles of speaking. She delivers the whole sentence overly high and then drops an octave on the last word and stretches the word out with an "ehhhh"". Ugh, I almost turned the video off a couple of times.
The voiceover is cringeworthy on just about all the Mashed videos. I swear, the producers go out of their way to recruit narrators with vocal fry and nasal intonation.
What really irritates my backside is that "Producers" think that we're not adaptable enough to endure a sudden change in the shows production set. We're not weak-minded low tolerance idiots. Get over yourselves. If anyone has the problem it's YOU the producers.
Narrator keeps saying when Christopher Kimball left the show. He didn’t leave. He was thrown out. I tried to watch after that but it was not worth the time.
Ashley Moore needs to be fired and sent back to reading stories to nursery schoolers with that saccharine, cloying pedantic voice that goes through me like 10,000 annoying little daggers.
@@sunshinecoolwater9528 Chris kept the on-camera atmosphere structured, straight-laced and professional; say what you feel about not liking him, but the difference between Chris’s polish and the ladies’ uncomfortably casual, giggling, sloppy hen-party is striking and undeniable except to the headless.
Tt Marsh is a waste of time. I thought she was closely connected with the director or something. She adds nothing to the network other than being a token. Not interested in anything she has to say. I always fast forward when she is on.
Use to look forward to Saturdays just to watch Cooks Country, but when Toni Tipton Martin started interjecting the early slavery/racism history bit into her first season, I never went back. I watch for the home cooking and the enjoyment of eating and not to be lectured or feel ashamed about what I'm eating over past events. That's for a history class to discuss.
Who's your favorite host on "Cook's Country"?
Bridget and Julia
@@MashedFood Chris Kimball.
Bridget

“We lost a test cook last year to just overconsumption of lemonade” 😅
Julie interrupts too much when she is serving as host for the chefs doing the recipes. She always seems to want to show how much she knows

I miss all of these shows, even Kimble! I made several of thier recipies.
America's test kitechen and good eats got me into cooking. Hope it doesn't change it's format that much.
The puff piece never mentioned the slave wages paid to the staff or the recent unionization.
To be fair, they were allowed to eat the "test meals" without cost, or to bring them home. That was built in to the wage scale.

Bryan Roof looks like the love child of Tom Colicchio and Scott Liebfried (sous chef on the first ten seasons of Hell's Kitchen).

Seems sorta mean

Would you do it better?

Julia Collin Davidson was a looker back then!
Why all the hate for chef Sheldon?
Wish I could see some earlier episodes of both Cook's Country and America's Test Kitchen.
@@williambone7724 there are some still available on TH-cam and elsewhere, and of course by download on p2p platforms like qBitorrent.

He did leave on his own accord, it was not ageism. And he stole proprietary client info to start Milk Street that spurred a 9+ year lawsuit.
Why can't we see Ashley and Christie on ATK?
Christie, sure. Ashley? Fire her yesterday and send her back to the children’s section of the library with that saccharine storytime voice.

I never liked Christopher Kimball. Always found him as cringe.
Christopher Kimball is a chef. All chef's are used to being the center of attention and getting their way. Ever hear of Gordon Ramsey? 😂😂😂

I really like all of the Cooks Country people.
Except Toni Tipton Martin. I just don't get why she's even on the show.
What’s your beef with Toni?
She’s on the show because she’s the boss and probably said “this is happening.”
@ that’s the feeling I got: “let me just insert myself into somewhere I clearly don’t belong; dissenters will be dealt with.”
Toni has done some recent segments serving as host for the recipe. Her approach to hosting is excellent.

What Jack Bishop did to Christopher Kimball was disgusting!
We only liked him. The women are not professional.
