    well done, I farm pumpkins too, I'm forced to used pots because geography, but I pride myself in the perfect colour of what I grow, I've never seen a big pumpkin with the same quality. but yours have the size (because ground grown) and a very nice colour (I didn't get a perfect close look but it looks amazing from here) you can be proud.

      bonus tip for you: try to get a balance between cutting leaves off so that direct sun light can help female flowers (especially when they're recently fertilised and trying to grow) and keeping the leaves on so the plant can thrive. bigger and more leaves is better BUT a common cause of fertilised pumpkins failing is not enough direct sunlight because leaves blocked it. the answer is balance.

Depending on where you are in the country, a bigger pot could be beneficial if you have to keep it in the Greenhouse for longer due to cold temperatures. I don't see why not. Maybe some additional watering would be needed. I imagine there will be varieties more tolerant to your climate so maybe you give that a Google?

    I’m growing pumpkins for the first time but I planted them too close to the sidewalk! Stems are starting to grow into the sidewalk but have roots growing in the ground! Is it ok to pull them out of the ground and direct them away from the sidewalk? Or should I just leave them

    • @TheGreyGardener1990
      @TheGreyGardener1990  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not aware of the vines being able to root? As long as the main part of the plant is where you want it to be I'd say you can pull a few out and direct it yeah. Just try it

    why do i snap off the pumkins when they are the size of a tennis ball this is my first year growing them and i dont know nothing about this

    • @TheGreyGardener1990

      It is said that if you want to grow the biggest you can, you should only keep 1 or 2 pumpkins per plant. This year I have put two plants in the ground and litterally left them to do their own thing. I've got 15 pumpkins of a fairly decent size. That's the theory behind it but in reality it doesn't make too much difference

    I actually didn’t do any of this I just planted mine in the ground and it grew naturally and I just don’t pay attention to time

    It's my first time growing pumpkins I've just noticed that some of the plants leaves are starting to yellow. Any idea why ?

    • @TheGreyGardener1990
      @TheGreyGardener1990  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be lack of water or nutrients. Hard to tell without seeing it. Baby leaves die off if it hasn't been in the ground for long. The plant does die back when the pumpkins are large but not really this early

    Repent and trust in Jesus. He's the only way. We deserve Hell because we've sinned. Lied, lusted stolen, etc. But God sent his son to die on the cross and rise out of the grave. We can receive forgiveness from Jesus. Repent and put your trust in him.
