I'm a programmer and I have to confess, Joe Satriani is my inspiration. No matter what the mood is, the moment I start listening to his music I get a surge of positive energy that help me throughout the whole day Thank you for your amazing work We Love You!
Saw Joe G3 with Vai n Eric Johnson. Even in that company, his masterful style and charisma were so self-evident. The Boss, so enjoyable. Thanks Joe, you're irreplaceable.
Jesus christ, this whole concert just fucking SLAYS. I first saw it in 2008 and it blew my mind. The guitar work is pure wizardry and Jeff Campitelli looks like he's having an absolute fucking blast on those drums.
Both Ice 9 and Cool #9 are amazing songs; just different tastes of music. This song (Ice 9) is super rhythmic and innovative while it is extremely difficult to play. All guitar techniques are used in this song except playing by teeth. I don’t think if anyone ever can play this song completely and as smooth as Professor Satch plays live in this clip. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
There's always a musician who brings out the natural voice/ sound of an instrument. Chopin : piano, Scarlatti : harpsichord, Paganini : violin and now Satriani : electric guitar.
Ice IX is a form of solid water stable at temperatures below 140 K or -133.15 C and pressures between 200 and 400 MPa. It has a tetragonal crystal lattice and a density of 1.16 g/cm3, 26% higher than ordinary ice. It is formed by cooling ice III from 208 K to 165 K (rapidly-to avoid forming ice II). Its structure is identical to ice III other than being hydrogen-ordered.
I've been rocking out to the SATCHMAN ever since my dad introduced me to his amazingness on a ski trip in '99. I was 15ish. I've loved Joe's style ever since.
That was a tune that became the backdrop to things like radio DJ's starting a show or an advertisement because it was so cool and catchy, kinda like Jeff Beck's 'Star Cycle' used to.
Could you imagine the Allies playing this at the beaches during D-Day so loud that you could hardly hear the rounds going off. Check it out, not one dislike for the Sat.

I see what you did there ;)
Joe Guitar Education what did he do there?
@@38clonewars ice, cool. It's a pun on words
Joe Guitar Education Jesus Christ, how’d I not get that XD
It's more then that, the mythical ice 9 is a super ice that never melts.

still my favorite G3 lineup to this day!
Jesus christ, this whole concert just fucking SLAYS. I first saw it in 2008 and it blew my mind. The guitar work is pure wizardry and Jeff Campitelli looks like he's having an absolute fucking blast on those drums.
I prefer the version with drummer Jonathan Mover
The audiences in this concert are the luckiest people in the world! ❤
THE BEST GUITARIST....
Very right 👉
Probably one of the best, Well of course there's people like Vai and Guthrie who are just as good.

Satch is the Guitarist Guitarist, Maestro Satriani 🎸🎶🎶
Awesome!!! This guy is SO good on that guitar! I started listening to him in High School, around 1989.
The legato part in this is a masterpiece

Best Ice 9 performance ever!

Those who love Satriani know that they love him more than Iron Maiden fans love Iron Maiden
Although that is simply impossible, Joe is king 👍....and UP THE IRONS!!!!
It's fine to love Iron Maiden when you're a kid. But when you become an adult you have to switch to serious music.
Love Joe but could not watch him for two hours. Up the Irons!
@@laurentfargues8113 oh we’re back to gatekeeping music huh
Iron Maiden love is kind of obsession, love for Satch is the kind of love that makes you grow
So tight!
Those free floating harmonic taps are like none other, as well as the overall smoothness refined over decades of mastery.
Killin it!
Sounds amazing

1:58 "Lizard Down Your Throat" technique. Read that many many years ago in a guitar world/guitar player lesson from Joe.
Same
Looks more like "beating my meat" technique
Joe are you really talking to Eddie VH about touring with you????? OMG I'm so there when you guys come to Sactown cali.........😍❤️😍❤️😍❤️😍❤️😍❤️
I like the chugginess of the slower album version, still great.
Try to listen at 0,75 )) it's cool

He's really good at that whammy shit
If you ever feel useless.... Remember Joe Satriani has a rhythm guitarist in his band....
Love Satch, I dont know why but this shouts Prince to me...didn't he do a song that sounds like this one??
I die for 1:50 🎸🎵❤🎸🎵❤🎸🎵❤🎸🎵❤
I realized just recently that this song title is a Kurt Vonnegut reference.
Funniest part of this are the dudes recording the concert on their circa 2005 flip phones. Quality had to have been trash on those videos.
ka gwapoh sa ako gihigugmang original nga banah.. kilig kaau koh oist... peshte wata gabai for sure hehehee
WTF! Get the FUCK out of here you loser!!!!!!!!
Damn, you need to chill
And is Stu Ham still jamming with him?

예전 MBC TV 드라마 " 맛있는 청혼 " (23년 전) BGM 으로 기억합니다.
if gonna break all 33 fingers who gave this the thumb downs!!
Not gonna lie, I'm here because of Kurt Vonnegut but that's a nice song!
First time I've seen him go off script..and it was fucking awesome!
Is this from the flying in a blue dream album?
Late answer but it is from Surfing With the Alien
How many Guitars do he own I wonder

OH MY GOD HOLLY PHUCK
The fucking goat i wish u was my teacher
Is that Stu Hamm on bass?
No its Dave larue
Dave LaRue...
When i hear it for the first time, i believe it was AlieN TappinG at 1:18
Kurt Vonnegut’s favorite song.
3:04 Somebody still owns a flip phone and takes it out in public! lol
Yea!!!
It is 2006
There was a four minute ad before the video .. four fucking minutes😑
I am first, I'm a cool kid now
