Steve, some coffins are bigger in size 😂 I know they make them compact so it folds to not a lot by my goodness I be panicking inside that one. Great review though! Nice to se a chuck made a short appearance 😊
It's a great little tent..I've got one last week but not tested it yet..was thinking off getting phoxx 2v2 but was out of stock so got this one instead as it packs down nicely..and not to heavy..also ordered a camouflage tarp for it to give more shelter over it..for cooking. Unigear and over tent not used yet is the naturehike star river 2 person tent very lightweight and plenty of headroom inside the tent...looking forward to using them soon..great video review mat8...👍
I'm with you on the hight. There are tents called "1.5 man" they are a tad taller, although still low, and a tad longer. I have the TADPOLE. I think it's quite old now. It may be superceded. Edit due to my crappy spelling.
It's a nice little tent for the money,I prefer something that's a decent size like the onetigris cosmitto v2.0,it's a two man dome tent with plenty of ventilation and looks very sturdy I think it would suit you better,I'm a hammock camper most of the time,I have the onetigris tangram and it's a decent tent .
i have it. it's great, but for people under 5'10, or in good weather. spent two nights in it in Scotland in the rain. kept me dry, kept midges away, but it was just to small at 6'. like you said, with the mat and sleeping bag. at this point might be better to just get a tarp and a bivy.
It all depends on your budget, the oex hyena 2 is around £60:00, plenty of room for you and your kit,a lot of tents have a thinner more lightweight ground sheet to save on weight,it's good to buy a cheap tarp to go under your ground sheet for extra protection and to prolong the life of the tent floor👍
I like the style of the onetigris but both of those tents are even shorter in length in the sleeping compartment than the phoxx 1. I can't seem to find anything at any price that is long enough. I'm looking into making my own!
Yikes, that looks even smaller than my Black Wolf Mantis 1. Maybe because your larger than me though. Have you looked into the X-Mid 1P? There are a few versions of this, the pro version is recommended for people up to 6'8". I have one of the original polyester versions. It's pretty generous with oodles of floor length & head room to sit up & get dressed for the day, but I'm only 5' 6". It may be worth checking them out. Not the cheapest tent in the world, though not the most expensive either.

Thank Ana! I might keep it for a quick stealthy wild roundabout camp!

" Looked at all the high end ones like £200 - £300 Vango " 😄 Boy are you in for a shock when you look into this hobby a bit more.

Great product review 👍and something to consider alongside/instead of a tarp (tarps are fine but offer little 'refuge' from the bitey insects).
The Dutch bivvies look good, could be another lightweight alternative?
am looking for a decent 2/3 man blackout tent , pop up maybe but they are usually not great it seeems .

Thank you, I'll have a look at that.
