- Storm spirit is a great snowball hero, that with good decision making and decent mechanics, can get to the late game fairly easily. If your opponent doesn't have many stuns, you can also get pretty deep into the late game and have a fun time.
Your first major item should either be an Orchid or Bloodstone, and afterwards you pick up items depending on the heroes you are playing against, or how you want to play the hero.
You can combo very well with a lifestealer because you give him a way to initiate and do a bunch of burst damage.

Ahh, i see what Purge did with the mantle. He dropped it to lower his mana pool,popped boots to get mana, then reput mantle to have more mana. Clever.
Yea. I don't play Dota 2 so I didn't understand at first but I remember Purge switching to Agi on Treads a while ago so that he got greater health regen and figured the same rules applied.
HuduYooVudu Uh...Agi doesn't give you health. Str does. Not to mention he bought arcanes here no treads.
MrZablinx Pay attention, he means he lower his % health when he trade the treads to Agi to cure himself, this way when he trade to Str again he will cure more than if he did the same with Str treads from the start.

MrZablinx No no no friend. You know how you said that he dropped mantle to get the regen from Arcane boots then grabbed mantle back? I was stating that you do the same thing with power treads. I was talking about a seperate Purge video, not this one. When you need health regen or mana regen, you switch to agi, regen, then switch back, much like Purge did with the mantle.

Purge, with enough Bloodstone charges you CAN make it across the whole map. The key is not having mana pool items but ridiculous mana regen because Ball Lightning has percentage-based mana cost.
Do you think he doesnt know that? And you still wouldnt make it because your mana would just run out since you use it waaaay faster that you recharge it. And bloodstone has a max stacks cap

Purge, you don't attack between remnants and ball lightnings, and you don't ball lightning in place very much. I just wanted to note that it can increase your burst by quite a bit, and with cm you don't need to worry about mana as much.

you should really make it a point to always a click the hero you are balling into. it lets you expand the static first all the time before casting another spell so that its not wasted.
it's also good if you can remnant first before pulling as it means you can combo it with another remnant before the hero run away. that is unless they have an instant escape move. helps to increase the burst dealt during the early mid game.
Damn that was a really clutch black hole.
the one tip i have for your storm is to not miss overload hits
a lot of times you would ball in and pull a hero without getting that extra damage off from the overload of your ult doesnt seem like much but it adds up a lot :)

you know, despite seeing the title of the video i still could not help but cross my fingers when he moused over meepo.
PurgeGamers, a bit of theorycrafting, do you think you would be mana efficient when, even though you're winning the lane, you're on the river and have no vision of the Pudge to use a Remnant to keep him on sight? I know Storm spends lots of mana and that every bit is important on the early but as Storm you already have the better rune control.

Personally I would go arcane boots then disassemble that into a bloodstone. Then go treads. And go for a orchard.

Pre-hex it took purge about 35 seconds to regen his entire mana pool. Post-hex, 33. Bloodstone wasn't meant to have that many charges lol

Hey purge, can you make a Gyro vid with the competitive build that people use in tournaments? I kinda wanna try it but i want to see you do it. If i can remember, gyro was used to have aquilla, treads, lothars, then aghs. but now i've seen quite the surprising builds.I hope you see this.

Purge what are your thought on getting treads after bloodstone? I usually dont get them is it worth the extra 1000 gold instead of just getting a faster orcid/sheepstick/linkens?

Anyone else really not a fan of bloodstone first item instead of orchid? Much rather the utility and gank potential and extra stats. Guess it did work out for him well, but if he'd been ganked a few times after buying it he would be in a much worse position.
aenima264 Yeah, I go tangos, 3 iron wood + mantle. Then I go into bottle, boots, null talisman, arcane, orchid, lincolns, sheep stick, sheevers.
Sheep stick + orchid makes you such a strong anti carry. Much more so than bloodstone orchid.
Don't always get the null talisman but it just kinda gives you that little extra bit of stats and really doesn't cost much. With invoker I don't get bottle so you pick up circlet at start also and null talisman is like 2 last hits away.
Mumbolian Bloodstone is all about snowballing off kills to collect charges for huge mana regen. I agree orchid is utility, but storm is a mana dependent hero so I can justify bloodstone to myself. I would say bloodstone should never be considered if your team is behind or you don't snowball off of kills early game.
jkt431 2 bad team fights though and your charges just disappear and you become very ineffective without those stats. Just don't value it very much in a pub game unless you're clearly stomping the other team. But then it doesn't really matter what items you have does it?
Mumbolian Like I said, it's about snowballing. You die, you lose charges, it becomes dead weight. It's more of a high skill item. I wouldn't recommend it in pubs because there's no guarantee of coordination to ensure ganks (team ganks or support warding for solo kills) and good team fights so you don't die. It's a VERY situational item so usually it won't (or shouldn't) happen, but when it can be pulled off the mana regen is worth it.
jkt431 You say that, but I'm not sure I've even seen it in pro games either and that's arguably the highest skill of all. Not in years at least. In reality it's just a bad item that you buy when the other team really isn't capable of shutting you down because they either picked badly or are very much below your team's capabilities.
It seems a bit unfair to class it as a snowballing item in a game that you couldn't lose unless you threw it. Having an orchid and sheepstick on a storm and continually naix bomb ganking the enemies carry in a close game seems much more snowbally to me.
If you're playing in a high skill game then the high skill enemy will recognise that if they shut you down you've just thrown away a big chunk of cash. So it is just an item to stomp noobs with.
It's like equivalently saying that buying a rapier is a snowballing item. It just isn't. It's a game throwing item unless the other team sucks.
I feel like purge wastes a lot of ball lightning overload, like during the slark gank, he BLed in, then immediately used pull. It's okay there I think because it's a slark and if he reacted quick enough he could've ran, but you did that before in the skirmish at the top lane, and it's something you have to improve, 'cause it adds up and really hurts your damage output.

A question about ss, if you give him a bloodstone with say, 30 charges and 5 battlefurriy's, would he then be able to make it the whole map? Or better yet, with a regen rune active also?

Just wondering: did you know that you can double-click your hero icon to force the camera to move with you? And if you do, is there a reason why you don't use this feature when you're creep-blocking the first wave? I'm just curious, not trying to be confrontational.
It's probably muscle memory. He's played since DoTA where there was no camera centering so he's used to moving the camera. People tend to go with what's most familiar.
Using the hotkey for your hero will also take you to your hero. Probably the easiest way.
