  • Mark's 2023 Next Gen Ranger gets its latest mod - the ARB Twin Compressor gets installed into the tub. It's a neat install, but is it worth the cost?

    That is a nice, neat addition to the Ranger. looks & works Great. And definitely a time saving game changer. If they do one for my Everest that looks so neat, I'm getting one for sure.

    Hey mate, I had mine installed at pre delivery however I had them install the outlet valve and on/off switch on a switch panel on the other side of the tub where the roller shutter button was, it’s a way better setup option, plus all the Anderson plugs are there too

      Sounds like a good option 👍 With upcoming mods (as you’ll see in one of my next vids) I have extra storage coming which means all my compressor gear will be close to the current location which will work well for me, but sounds like you have a neat install

    Hey matey, been following your channel for some time now and your vids are awesome. Just a random question about your PDX winch, did you get it from Ironman or somewhere else and does it have the synthetic rope. I am going to get the ironman bar same as yours so just looking at winch options. Any info about it would be extremely helpful. Cheers.

      Hi mate. Appreciate the feedback on the videos 👌
      I just bought the winch myself and got 4x4 extras in Wangara to install. The Ultra 12,000 pound winch at approx 20kg is a lot lighter than the others on the market as was a big factor in my decision as too much weight on either extremity of a vehicle isn’t ideal. I paid full retail price at - ultrawinch.com.au/products/12k-electric-winch

    I'm putting the same on mine, BUT, I'm putting in 5 outlets. One on the side step next to each wheel, and one on the towbar, and installing the arb pressure regulator via bluetooth. Connect all four wheels, set pressure on app and sit back and wait

    I mounted mine under the tub above the spare wheel for easy routing to a 6L tank. Outlet is mounted on a pirate camp co panel with switch and anderson plugs for the fridge etc'. Had kings compressor before, but they just do not last. They overheat and do not work......

      @@Perth4WDandCamping G'day Mark, just discovered your channel recently. I loved that your in Perth because it makes your travels, product and services sugestions more releavant. I have been following your channel because I'm currently doing research on a Ranger and you seem to be covering the topics I'm considering for may rig. I will be ordering the compressor, BP 51 ARB suspension, Bull Bar, side rails and steps. I definately would want an air tank, so am keen to see how that goes. Also in my last vehicle I placed the air hose connection point in the rear step well so I could get better access to it and the the switch was in the cab so I did'nt have to move things to get to it. I'm hoping I can use the auxillary switches.

    • @Perth4WDandCamping
      @Perth4WDandCamping  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds good. I’ve seen a few people mount next to the side step. My main reason for sticking to the original spot was to keep the air connection away from dust and water (of course there are dust cap options), but if you’ve had experience with this location before and it’s worked for you then awesome. In coming weeks I’ll be covering my suspension choice and process 👍 If you have any specific questions on the suspension before you’re ordering, by all means feel free to drop a DM via my Facebook or Instagram pages. Cheers Mark

    Hey mate, thanks for the vid. Just picked up a Wildtrak and with all the optional mods available it's hard to know what's actual quality and what's just brand name. Just wondering though if this runs off the main battery or if you have a second battery it's running off instead?

    • @Perth4WDandCamping
      @Perth4WDandCamping  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just off the standard battery mate. You need to keep the car running whilst in use as they draw a fair bit of power. I’m a bit selective with the ARB gear as it comes with a high price tag but I really rate their compressors. I consider it the pay once, enjoy long approach ha

    I’ve got the same setup in my raptor. Generally works great but occasionally blows a fuse when using the 2 hose indeflate. Have you had the same issue?

    • @Perth4WDandCamping
      @Perth4WDandCamping  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Haven’t experienced that one. Generally I’m pumping up each tyre individually. I’ve found there’s not a huge time difference between doing this and using the indeflate (by the time you set it up etc).

      G’day Neil. Floor mats from phdtech.com.au and I didn’t install an air tank with the compressor. It’s fine without if you’re just pumping tyres. If planning to run air tools then you’d need a tank

      Certainly not impossible as we demonstrated, but it’s certainly one to take your time on (double check everything before you start cutting). Instructions provided from Huracan Fab are pretty good.
