I want to know what is the best general main temp for the boiler when it was installed it has a default of 65 dc which makes this thing chuck out general heat that is roasting on the radiators also the water comes out a 50 d c i would like it a bit less on the heating and a little bit more on the water i live in devon Plymouth can some advice please what is best
@@sdolman79 British gas quoted £7000, 3 lads over 5 days. Boxt quoted the same job £4300, 1.5 lads over 12 hours and evidently so. Pipes from the boiler were bodged into door frame and not the brick, 7 poorly fitted radiator pipes (couldnt be bothered to go under the floor boards) they are zig zagged like crazy, dented radiators and loose pipes through drilled wall, awful electrical work. Ours was very poor workmanship, we have started a section 75 to get the job corrected. Customer service/complaints is awful and almost non-existent (at least in stoke on trent) they soon woke up after 2 weeks of ignoring me once the credit company sent an email . My advice would be scrap Boxt and go with British gas, failing that I would recommend paying with credit card or credit company so your covered for any poor work (section 75). If you look on trust pilot they are quick to flag 1 star reviews and get them removed but they don't respond to the 1 or 2 stars, Meaning anyone with genuine issues are blatantly ignored on the site. I thought about the red flags but went with my wallet instead 🥺 my mistake.
My Dad's boiler was fitted in the 1970's and it's still going strong. They don't make 'em like they used to.

Since nobody knows how 20% hydrogen and its still 80% fossil fuel then its only one fifth clean.
Do not buy a 25Kw as the output of the hot water is only 9 litres per minute, you can hardly shower. Total disgrace!
