  • The Alfa Romeo 4C is a modern motoring icon and one of the prettiest and lightest exotic cars that Alfa ever produced! Chris "The Alfa Nut", takes a sunny drive in this carbon fibre pocket rocket, to see if the reality lives up to the glossy image.

    Red 4c spider owner- loved the video of course, the 4c never ceases to be an event to drive. Hugely overlooked by everyone but us lucky few in the know. It's like having a Ferrari but a third of the price and running costs. Never had a car that gets so much attention.

      Jim Alcock you’re a lucky man, I loved the 4C - its what used to be called a “real man’s car” before political correctness! It demands commitment but rewards greatly if you do. Loved it. ❤️

      I borrowed as much as I could and then some more. Worth every penny. The motoring journalists really missed the point in general. However it just makes the car more special and rare. I genuinely believe that the right spec is a cracking investment (in car terms) cheers Jim

      Jim Alcock I agree, the prices seem to be sticking - now that production has stopped, I’m sure they will start creeping up. Enjoy 😊

    There are two types of 4C reviewers, those who get it, and those who dont! Brilliant video.

      @TheAlfaNut  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Henry - perhaps I'm biased but I don't see why some people don't understand the idea of a focussed "pure" sports car? Maybe they don't like their hair getting messed up! ;0)

    I would own this car precisely because it's uncompromising. If I cared about window switches and cupholders I'd get a Volvo. This beauty is a throwback to the olden days of engaging, sometimes difficult but uncompromising and fun sports cars.

      Quite right Paul - the “nanny state” development of cosseting, dumbed-down and overly safety-concious motoring is fine for family cars I suppose but give me a hairy chested sports car every time for my days off!

      Paul you GET IT. If YOU like to drive the car and not the other way around this car is scintillating.

    Good lord that looks so nice on the road, apart from that front number plate, I've yet to experience the 1750tbi engine and it does sound good in the 4C. Another great vid Chris.

    Nice car Mr. Nut - good job on the presentation too. Also, nice to see garden Gnomes finally featuring in a motoring video, they're conspicuously absent in most mainstream TV motor shows these days. The 4C is a lovely looking car with exciting performance to boot, however, I do not believe it to be as fast as my tuned-up TTRS. I absolutely demand a DRAG RACE! (PS. I gave you a Thumbs Up)

    • @TheAlfaNut
      @TheAlfaNut  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your kind comments about garden gnomes. I too believe them to be under-used in mainstream entertainment mediums. If you buy a 4C you are presented with a special limited edition Alfa Romeo Gnome, with a "Veloce" fishing rod and red, green and white trousers. Or maybe that recollection was caused by the magic mushrooms I had at lunchtime?

    This type of cars excite you until it tires you. The heavy powerful cars (ICE or EV) excites you too but becomes boring in the end. I’ll take the ones that gets you tired and have a good sleep after it. 4C/Exige/Alpine are the best sports cars you can buy, the power of lightness.

    • @TheAlfaNut
      @TheAlfaNut  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed Sherman - cars like these don’t need 500 bhp to excite because they are so light

    I have had a few sports cars in my time, Maserati Gransport MC Victory, Audi R8 4.2 V8, Lotus Elise, Caterham supersport, Porsche Boxster & I now own a '64 plate 4c Coupe.
    I absolutely love it, as with most Alfa's its not perfect though the paint seems to chip really easily & it's very noisy on the motorway. But what a car the acceleration is amazing, the noise is amazing, the handling is "direct" love it :-)
    But I'm going to keep it forever it is a fantastic car so much fun and such an occasion whenever you drive it. The only car that I have had that is similar is the Lotus Elise and perhaps the Caterham. But those are even more compromised .
