Never played the original, although I am a big fan of John Carpenter's films. I even met him and he was kind enough to sign some dvds and take some photos with me. I never knew he had a cameo in this game, until after I watched your video! I'm definitely going to play this one.
It was really cool that his likeness got to show up and, afaik, he even signed off on the game as the official sequel to The Thing. Sadly he didn't voice the character. I think he wanted to do it but scheduling conflicts prevented him from doing so.
@@ForgetfulPretzel That might work when trying to adapt the original but this sequel tries to go for the Aliens route where a military force comes in to contain it. Actually think they should've called the game "Things". 😂
I use to play this when I was a kid. I'm very happy that Nightdive remastered this classic gem.

Is it just me or would the thing have been much better for a telltale style adventure game rather than a third person squad shooter
