The fix to the VRM temps is easy. I got a Strix Vega 56, first thing I did was void the warranty and replace the Thermal pads/paste to Cooler Master Maker Nano and some high quality thermal pads. Also, I noticed on my card that 2 thermal pads were missing. I did all the necessary changes and than ran the card, flashed it to a Vega 64 bios, OC memory to 1050MHz core to 1700MHz everything working great, no artefacts, no crash, and the VRM temps never exceed 80 now and GPU hotspot goes to a max of 84 and GPU temp around 72C
This card will be my longest keeper ever, bought it in 2017 and will be keeping it at least to 2023! I did this mod...was not easy (cause of subsystem id error at 2:13 in the flash tool) as i had to run CMD and flash from there...but it works great. Overclocked to 1650core /1100 mhz samsung HBM2...Also my coil whine went away as a nice bonus... P.S dude those VRM temps are insanely bad! mine are 75-85C
did this a few weeks ago to my powercolor red dragon vega 56. In your heaven loop you where running Tessellation was completely disabled which you shouldn't do. that path at the start is completely flat when so much detail could and should be there, You'd still be getting a locked 60fps with vsync there and if unlocked well above 60 with tessellation and not even locked at 4x. Hope to see a follow up video :)

paid $75 for a card with bios switch and the 64 bios already installed :) I run a tiny repair shop in kentucky and have started to back off on gaming. I'm selling my 3080 and downgrading to this card because I literally only play games when my son wants me to play a multiplayer game with him. I dont need 600 FPS to do that. Plus we own a PS5 as well.
You can also back up your bios from gpuz. It works really well this mod. It's a shame you memory won't go full speed. I was one of the first people to do this in 2017 with the reference card. :P
It will run full speed but not for a prolonged benchmark. Not enough to crash but enough to start seeing artifiacts. I've only seen it during a Heaven bench, not during a game yet. I just undervolt and leave it full speed most of the time. But 've been updating drivers often with the 2020 Adrenaline to fix some bugs I'm having with a 4K projector at 60FPS 10bit (video soon) my custom saved profile has caused me some grief, I'm just using VEGA 64 defaults right now.
