Thank you for this lesson. I recently heard the question posed, if God is all powerful, He couldn't come up with a better plan than to let the Savior suffer for all of us? You answered it beautifully, and tied all the doctrine together. Thank you, thank you!
Alma 42:22 is very powerful I asked where it says if God is acted upon instead of acting and ceases to be God but you said it a bit later. I love this, it truly is the opposite of the adversary’s anarchy. Thank you for this lesson
Thank you for sharing your decades of teaching and knowledge with us! I have a question about the 5 higher laws in the endowment. Are we more accountable for keeping the higher laws? If we follow/ break the higher laws, is there a higher blessing/ penalty affixed to them than with the laws that most people are familiar with...the "thou shalt not" and the Sermon on the Mount laws?
Yes. D&C 82:3 says, “For of him unto whom much is given much is required; and he who sins against the greater light shall receive the greater condemnation.” It also implies that he who obeys the greater light shall receive the greater blessing.
You are telling my life message. Cleon Skousen also tells it in his talk "The Meaning of the Atonement." Christ's suffering wasn't a counterbalance for sin, it was an entreaty for conditions of mercy. All of creation agreed to conditions of mercy for Christ's sake, because his suffering broke their heart. Because He gave up everything for the cause of mercy. The conditions of mercy depends on us being followers of Christ. He becomes our advocate to show we qualify for conditions of mercy. All of creation continues to submit to God according to this agreement, therefore God continues to be God. It is not so much suffering for so much sin. It is a contract with all of creation that was accomplished on the cross. It is just a little bit more than what you are saying.
I love your videos. I have a question. You say God can't lie. Ether 3:15 says And never have I showed myself unto man whom I have created, hasn't He showed himself to Adam and Enoch by this time?
Read Ether 3 carefully and notice the difference between “man” and “a man,” “this man,” and “all men.” “Man” in verse 15 is referring to mankind as a whole, not any individual man. When the chapter is referring to an individual, it uses phrases like, “this man.” He is saying that never has He appeared unto mankind because never has mankind believed in Him like the brother of Jared. Certainly He had appeared unto individual men.
Herein is a Mystery: In past times, Jehovah appeared to Adam, Enoch, Noah etc, of this there is no doubt, who were before the Brother of Jared, however because the former prophets, although having faith, did not require manifestations from God based on questioning. The former prophets acted on Gods word without question while the Brother of Jared required ongoing tutoring to develop his faith to such a degree that he removed all doubt (the former prophets didn't doubt) insomuch that the Lord seeing that the Brother of Jared was sanctified in the Spirit was able to behold Jehovah. Again not so with the former prophets as they communed directly with God/Jehovah without requiring a sign in the first or to exercise faith that they already nurtured. At another time we will explain the difference between an actual visitation and a vision. Let this suffice for now
Your Lessons are unbelievably good and powerful to me and my family! Thank you so much brother Bryce…
Thanks Bryce! These lessons are a huge tender mercy for my family and I to look forward to every Sunday!
What a joy to learn from you! Merry Christmas, Bryce!

@@talkingscripture Thank you for your insight! I am eager to start the D&C this next year!
Another video about this topic is available on TH-cam. It’s called the Meaning of the Atonement by Cleon Skousen.
