On the naming of the aliens (sort of future spoilers, but more like hints): It's not really offensive. Slight spoiler for Omniverse & Alien Force should you guys get to it regarding the talks of who Kenny's mom is: While it technically shouldn't be considered the SET canon as how the later series establishes how the state of the future works in Ben 10 (basically leaving this version of Ben 10K's world set as an alternate timeline that was hooked from the whole "Ben didn't get Grandpa a cake" event), they DO go back to using this version of Ben 10K as the basis for Ben's Omniverse future and they build off one/some of those mid episode popup notes that showed up back when the show was airing because they had a special block when they'd replay episodes with lore notes, and one of those confirms that, at least for Ben 10 Classic's version of 10K, Kai (the Native American girl as Eric points out) is set to be Kenny's mom and Ben's wife. The downside is that they don't really build their relationship up in a believable way in Omniverse. Their only means of "confirming" it is that Present Ben and Kai constantly fight and any amount of romance they DO get is undercut by a joke or them arguing, yet Omniverse Ben 10K and Kai are shown as a loving, caring couple. Granted going forwards, they also never really do Ben's love life justice in any sense. There's a decent one that starts up with Alien Force, but because of studio mandates, they have to make up pointless couple drama to "keep things interesting" and most of the time, it comes off as shallow. Plus it really ends in a very disappointing and dumb fashion in Omniverse.
We get quite a bit of it in Omniverse too, and I definitely see the appeal. The End Of An Era which was the first part of the series finale did focus almost entirely on the future.
@@erikpng reaching the first series after watching omniverse is a lot more fun than without. Omniverse added so much to the lore like who Ken's mother is and how the world we have in 10k became what it is. And just now I noticed the x scar on Kevin's chin and also made a connection with that
@@Tallermage its also cool that Swampfire is the one who gave that scar to Kevin, considering Swampfire is the first alien Kevin fights after reappearing in Alien Force
as much as i want that. i dont want it to be a lowkey remake of the og series with kenny or whoever. and if its just about ben as an adult, i don't think it would be as interesting considering they toned down ben's character a lot as compared to Alien Force. it would be cool though maybe to see him in his mid 20s or so, collecting more aliens. Ideally, if they could merge Alien Force's canon by continuing that storyline only a little further into the future BUT with THIS aesthetic, I'd be TOTALLY down for that!
@@Tallermage yeah, there's that episode where Kevin seemingly turns evil. And gets the outfit he has in the future and the X scar. The movie acts as a finale to the series, it'd be kind of awkward to watch this episode as the final one in the original series. I also agree with the person on top, they'll be more invested in seeing how Ben will acquire the alien.
disagree. seeing ben 10k use such a powerful alien and then seeing our ben receive it when he does will definitely be a different viewing experience. interested to see how they react to it. although it also seemed like they had knowledge of way big already?
I heard some time ago that grandpa max design is inspired on shazam from dc comics, the color scheme and the face are really similar, also the shirt makes the shape of the lighting in the chest
Ok now it gets a bit complicated: Ben 10 Classic has 4 finales and in chronological order it’s Ben 10 Vs the Negative 10 because there’s implications it takes place shortly before the end of summer, Goodbye and good Riddance because it takes place at Ben’s first day at school, Ben 10: Race Against Time and while it isn’t stated in the movie judging from the environment it takes place during autumn and lastly Ben 10: Destroy All Aliens and while it’s not stated in the movie it presumably takes place during spring because of the environment
Kenny mentions Way Big at almost 4:28 part of the episode so I think thats where they knew about the name also just 2 more days and I'll be commenting on your breakdown as well
How did Arron know about Waybig at 12:30 when they are not supposed to find out about him until Ben 10: The Secret of the Omniverse movie which they have not seen yet?
One thing I really liked about this episode was the fact that the Tennyson's asking Devin to stay with them and be a part of their family was a callback to Season 1 when Ben said the same thing to Kevin who later betrayed him right afterwards. But here, it seems to be something genuine.
This episode always sticks out in my mind as regardless what you think about the actual story you can't deny this introduced some of the hardest designs into this franchise. Waybig teases which is a fantastic foreshadowing to the true finale in SOTO We get the other aliens like Spitter and Arctiguana Although I prefer the short hair version we got previously and will get in OV adult Gwen still has a phenomenal design. Then there's Devlin and Kevin themselves both exceptional
Way Big destroying Kevin was a sight to behold, the visual aliens Kevin is composed of includes: Vulpimancer/Wildmutt, Tetramand/Four Arms, Kineceleran/XLR8, Galvanic Mechamorph/Upgrade, Lepidopterran/Stinkfly, Pyronite/Heatblast, Loboan/Benwolf/Blitzwolfer, Null Guardian, Kevin 11,000's facial may be similar to an Ectoneurites/Ghostfreak's true forms face but that could be coincidental

While it technically shouldn't be considered the SET canon as how the later series establishes how the state of the future works in Ben 10 (basically leaving this version of Ben 10K's world set as an alternate timeline that was hooked from the whole "Ben didn't get Grandpa a cake" event), they DO go back to using this version of Ben 10K as the basis for Ben's Omniverse future and they build off one/some of those mid episode popup notes that showed up back when the show was airing because they had a special block when they'd replay episodes with lore notes, and one of those confirms that, at least for Ben 10 Classic's version of 10K, Kai (the Native American girl as Eric points out) is set to be Kenny's mom and Ben's wife.
People for years have been craving a Ben10K show following this episode, and you can see why.
I guess they were trying to make us think it will actually happen and Kevin will be evil from that point forward. Smart. Makes the plot twist that he was only acting even better.
Ben had a bonafide Vegeta moment and I absolutely love it
2:20 It’s Billy! 😂
so funny they named Ben's kid Ken here and then gave the name to Gwen's brother in Alien Force, who we didn't even know existed till he was introduced randomly to be important in that one episode.
edit: also love that meta joke of kevin about the tennyson's names lmao
A pop up trivia mentioned that Ben looks up to his cousin Ken confirming he didn’t just randomly exist in Alien Force the crew just took advantage of Classic’s trivia for their storytelling
@@axelnilsson5124yup 😂
im impressed by how much you remember lol (megawatts, spitter etc)
What’s scary is that Kevin 11,000 is more powerful in the context of Ultimate Alien than in the context of Classic
That's why they needed to watch TV special "Secret of the Omnitrix" before starting the 4th season
there watching it as the series finale also they just posted there reaction to part 1 of the film on early access for patrons, so 4 eps left before we get it on youtube
6:30 What's very funny about this fight is that it's a 40 or so year old man beating an 11 or so year old child
My second favourite episode in the entire franchise. Love to finally see them reach it
Really? Because the finale of Omniverse was so goated!
Eh... this episode causes some "complications" down the line.
Like?
@@darryljack6612 if it's because future changes or something like that, that's not the fault of this episode.
@@darryljack6612that’s more of the fault of the writers of the sequel series than it is this episode
ONE. OF. THEE. BEST. EPISODES.
been waiting for this, you guys are gonna love the rest of this season.
I dont know what's all in this season but I know it's the last one
@@CatchBackNewss there’s 3 more episodes and then the movie which could also be a 3 part episode
@@TheGillygogs the movie could be a 3 part episode? And thanks btw
@@TheGillygogs Also the CG animated movie and the live action movie
@@CatchBackNewss Yeah HBO has Secrets of The Omnitrix as the first 3 episodes of season 4. Its of course meant to be the season finale though, as well as meant to be a movie, so they are saving that for after the season, and we dont know if they plan to watch it like a movie or watch it as the 3 episodes HBO lists it as
The kid on 2:21 is 100% Billy from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, same exact voice and now I see that he looks the same but.. Y'know.. Alien..
In a trivia versi9n of this episode where trivia boxes from the showmakers appear to give fun facts, they confirm that Ken's mom is supposed to be Kai
I'm surprised Toepick never came up in the discussion
This episode was set 30+ years in the future, and this is probably a alternative future due to the previous episode.
More of a possible future than an alternate one, best not to overthink time travel in this series as it’s incredibly inconsistent.
@@Andrew-Bastin yup, that is true, still enjoy it though.
@@Andrew-Bastinthats basically the same thing.
@@CRITTER_FROG one’s an alternate future that can’t happen, the other’s a possible future that can still happen
@@Andrew-Bastin The time travel is inconsistent with this show since they don't plan that far ahead. It's easier to just label the ben 10k timeline as alternate since ben has only 10k aliens and Kevin is evil.
1:51 Aaron looking at a child: what the heck is that Circa 2023
I feel like them watching this before the movie would dampen their reaction to Way Big's first appearance, since they already saw it in this episode
idk I feel like it's nice to see him in the future timeline then see our Ben acquire it later
The movie acts as a finale to the series, it'd be kind of awkward to watch this episode as the final one in the original series. I also agree with the person on top, they'll be more invested in seeing how Ben will acquire the alien.
Season four watch order is so weird because it has the movie finale, good riddance finale, negative 10, and this future episode
@@MrRobot-jb5tl but timeline wise, secrets of the omnitrix takes place before classic ben 10 ends
disagree. seeing ben 10k use such a powerful alien and then seeing our ben receive it when he does will definitely be a different viewing experience. interested to see how they react to it. although it also seemed like they had knowledge of way big already?
That orange alien is actually a giant reference to Billy from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy
How am I NOW just realizing Omniverse Kevin design is based of this?
Yup its his future design
I heard some time ago that grandpa max design is inspired on shazam from dc comics, the color scheme and the face are really similar, also the shirt makes the shape of the lighting in the chest
Rustbucket's plate also spells Shazam
Please do not stop watching this show
They do only have 3 episodes left so they’ll stop watching the show after that
They know about Ultraman. Respect level increased.
I forgot how much I liked the music during Ben and Kevin's fight xD
4:30 - Looks like plasmus from teen titans with extra stuff on him
3:30 this is why Ben doesn't have any rabbit aliens
I never realized the black and red alien that Ben 10k fights in the episode reminds me of Bane's design from the The Batman cartoon
You mean Mot Snikrep?
It’s finally here!!!
Another amazing video
growing up this was one of my many fav episodes but icb i forgot this was how way big was introduced,,,
Ben never hold back when it come to Kevin. He recognize a threat when he see one 😂
5:55 KEVIN!?!!?!?!?!?! Also I'm surprised ya'll know about Way Big. That means you already watched SOTO?
Kenny mentions Way Big at almost 4:28 part of the episode so I think thats where they knew about the name
also just 2 more days and I'll be commenting on your breakdown as well
How did Arron know about Waybig at 12:30 when they are not supposed to find out about him until Ben 10: The Secret of the Omniverse movie which they have not seen yet?
earlier in the episode, kenny mentioned wanting way big and atomix in his omnitrix
13:59 It was at this very moment, Kevin.............. screwed up! 👀
*HELL YEAH!!! ONE OF THE BEST EPISODES OF THE SERIES!!!!*
Ken having darker brown skin color compare to Ben does give some hints about who his mother really is. 😅
Yup 😂
that Way-Big smash scene was brutal, but awesome
Ken 10. Was really waiting for this one❤
Say hello to Way Big. And the scary angry Ben.
Also, hope you guys watch Secret of the Omnitrix.
2:20 Billy from Billy and Mandy 😂
How did they recognize Way Big already? Did they get spoiled or did they see the movie already?
I just realised that the alien at 2:21 is a parody of Billy from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. He even has the same voice.
Waybig teases which is a fantastic foreshadowing to the true finale in SOTO
We get the other aliens like
Spitter and Arctiguana
Although I prefer the short hair version we got previously and will get in OV adult Gwen still has a phenomenal design.
And this is the last time you’ll ever see Spitter
Maaaan, like, I love everything we got Alien Force onward, but we REALLY missed out on a Ken 10 spin off.
2:24 hes a reference to Billy from The Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy
Kevin 11K living example of Everyone creates the thing they dread
How did they know who way big was unless they watched secrets before this episode.
kenny says waybig's name at the beginning of the episode, when listing of what aliens he wants for his omnitrix
Waybig pounding Kevin into the ground was so brutal to me when I first watched this lol.
2:20 Billy!?
By far the best future episode❤
Billy’s cameo has me dead 2:23
He's the Grosset cartoon character of all time

A Danny Phantom reference . A suprise,to be sure ,but a welcome one ,
2:20 - That is an alien version of the character Billy from the Cartoon Network show Billy & Mandy.
At long last, my favorite episode
Oh right the billy cameo
Fun fact Ken's mother is Kai the girl who Ben had a crush on in the episode Benwolf and Ken has a sister you can see her at the birthday party
I think that alien is supposed to look like Billy from the Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy
Extra info: ken reveal atomix, ones of the most powerfulls aliens before his debut years later in omniverse
Watching them try to figure out the lore behind the omnitrix is so agonizing as a Ben 10 fan that has seen all four series (Not counting the reboot) .
It's also kind of frustrating because there's a bunch of stuff that was only ever said in those pop-up versions of the episodes or in interviews. For example, I think the pop-up version of this episode talked about how Ben used a combination of his smartest aliens to create Ken's Omnitrix.
@@xenfast130 yep I believe they even said brainstorm had a hand in helping create it too
@@xenfast130 Some of the pop-ups can be confusing since it also gets retconned (Vilgax's origin, and a bunch of other stuff). Maybe its for the best that they don't completely know that Kai (the furry lover) is Ben's wife, as stated in the pop-ups
Yes, that dog like construct is just like Charmcaster's.
Except maybe higher quality since Gwen made it.
Am I missing something, did they already see the movie where we meet vilgax? I don't see that on the channel?
