I wanted to say rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. There really aren’t any words I can think of to describe the pain this loss has brought to not just me, but millions of people around the world. Toriyama was such an amazingly creative person who really did create something unique and special with Dragon Ball. I can only imagine how he must have felt knowing he created the most popular anime and manga of all time and it’s amazing how he was able to create such a unique story all the way back in 1984 and have it still be so unbelievably popular all these years later. And it’s especially saddening given how this is technically the 40th anniversary of the entire Dragon Ball franchise overall. And it’s incredible how he helped inspire so many other anime and manga creators like Eiichiro Oda with One Piece, Masashi Kishimoto with Naruto, Tite Kubo with Bleach and so, so, so many more. Another tragic part to all this is that we’ve lost so many amazing manga artists these last few years like Kentaro Miura and Kazuki Takahashi and now we’ve lost the most well known of them all. I really do need to thank Toriyama for everything he’s done with creating this franchise and these amazing characters like Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and so many others. I only got into Dragon Ball back in 2017 and I can say I understand why it’s as gigantically popular as it is with so many amazing and iconic moments. It’s also amazing how this franchise seems very simplistic compared to other mangas and yet it’s still hailed as amazing all these years later. It’ll be tragic to watch Dragon Ball Daima this year knowing it’s the last thing he ever worked on. Overall, I just want to say, thank you for everything Akira Toriyama and rest in peace.

This is what we mean when we say Akira Toriyama had a world wide influence, when dragon ball started going around the world, he revolutionized anime in the west, he made what was impossible then, possible.
1997. My mum bought a Dragon Ball comic (translated into my native language) for my brother and I. It was my very first introduction to Dragon Ball. I started reading more and more, even borrowing from my friends and cousins. 2001. My family and I moved to Leeds, England and stayed there for a year and 6 months. I, along with my brother, went to a school. I managed to learn basic English to communicate, but I am still having a hard time adjusting to the environment. I made a few friends but never quite clicked with them. That all changed when I found out that they loved watching Dragon Ball. From there, I was able to click with them quite easily. I remember how proud I was to be able to share my knowledge of Dragon Ball since they don't have access to the comic books like I did. 2003. I was a junior in a boarding school. On Saturday morning, me along with other students (juniors and seniors alike) waited in front of our warden's room. When the warden opened the door, he let some of us in so that we could bring out the TV from his room and bring it to the canteen. After setting the TV up and turning it on, we all waited while having breakfast just in time for an episode of Dragon Ball to start airing. It happened every week like clockwork. Sure, other students were looking forward to other shows and programs, but most of them were very excited for Dragon Ball. In fact, IIRC, a week after the last episode of Dragon Ball Z was aired, no one seemed to be excited to wait in front of the warden’s room to get the TV out at least until Dragon Ball GT started airing. When I said that Dragon Ball was a part of my life growing up, I was not exaggerating. Sure, I've outgrown it, but I'm still very nostalgic about it. It may not have changed my life in a big way, but it makes me appreciate the good memories I made growing up. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Akira Toriyama.
Akira Toriyama is a treasure of Japan. He is the pride of the Japanese people. But he taught us that it is the same throughout the world. Thank you for sharing this wonderful surprise with us!🇯🇵🙏

No matter the language or country, Dragon Ball teached anyone who watched it to face life with courage and never give up, becoming a huge inspiration all around the world
Heroes can be remembered, But legends never die.❤️🔥👊🏻
Amen! ❤🔥👊🏻 His legacy will live on forever!
If this is how people react to your passing, then you’ve done well in life.
Rest in peace Akira thank you for inspiring so many of us.
you might not know this, but you should use his last name. In Japan, They say the last name to show respect for people.
So call him Toriyama-Sensei, not Akira, because you don't know him personally.
@@TheUltimateRare Look I like the Japanese culture as much as the next guy, but I don't think a lot of people are gonna care for that.
DBZ is an all-time favorite in the early childhood of many. I can watch the whole series over and over. That's how legendary this series was. Thank you, Akira Toriyama. You created a series that we will remember forever. The DBZ universe will live forever. Thank you, goku, for a great childhood.

Didn't realise it was so widespread as this. It's mad to see how much people are affected. And how much they remember and respect.
You will be missed by everyone, RIP Akira Toriyama.
Nope, not everyone. Never heard of him.
Rest in Hell Akira Toriyama 🔥
this man created something that many of us only wish we could create, Hès probably inspired more people to persevere than any other man in the history of the world and he did it through story. Rest in Peace Akira Toriyama
Even in death Toriyama has to be proud of the insane reach his work had. Seeing all these futballers do the iconic Z fighter poses proves it.
U rock guys! And much respect to the spokeswoman! R.I.P Toriyama-sensei! 🙏❤️🐉
Rest in Hell Akira Toriyama 🔥
Whenever a new episode of DBZ dropped, cartel activity dropped as well.

Rest in Hell Akira Toriyama 🔥
Damn, I really never thought this day would come. RIP Akira Toriyama
LOL. They were all doing the DBZ poses. Lets see Superman beat that. But, in all seriousness its sad to see him gone.
@sadsadasdsadasdsadas As much as I like Goku Im afraid I have to disagree. But, he does beat him in popularity. Superman too overpowered and thats what makes him lame.
@@raycenteno7698 Dragon Ball beats the Superman cartoon in popularity because Dragon Ball is relatable to everyone trying to build themselves and Super Man is just a blessed character that's relatable to overpriced plain Wonder Bread.
@sadsadasdsadasdsadasYeah non comic book fans don't get that Death battle just took a bunch of random feats compiled them together like it's all the same Superman. Some versions of Superman are weaker and some are stronger but Death battle can't even decide what version of Superman they are using in their videos
@sadsadasdsadasdsadas Yeah they like to do that a lot with Marvel and DC characters especially. Bring up something that happened in the comics but then leave out all the context
@@raycenteno7698Goku felt closer, relatable with common folk and more friendly than Superman, which always been seen as somewhat superior race, not to mention he wasn't remotely interesting or funny to watch or read than Goku
This was really awesome to see man
A true legend!
I grew up with Dragon Ball in the 90s, it was actually the only anime I just loved to watch. What he did was popular in the whole world.
Rest in Peace
I know it's sad that the world lost a legend but I think it's beautiful to see so many people around the world come together to honor Mr. Toriyama, fly high you will be missed!
Wow! I’m glad the kind of impact it had on everyone. When I liked something that much it had to be this big. Been watching dragon ball as a kid and still now 30 years later. Life wouldn’t be the same without this genius. RIP
R.I.P 😭😭😭 (1955-2024) goodbye Goku farewell, my childhood hero & my friends 😭😭😭 I ❤ DBZ is the best epic anime fight ever! I like Goku vs Vegeta, I'm from Vietnam 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳
Rest in Hell Akira Toriyama 🔥
That's how big he was. People you never would expect are fans of his work.
R.I.P.
Rest in Hell Akira Toriyama 🔥

Rest in Power Akira San. You taught us in South Africa the unrelenting power of the human spirit and a believe that there are still good in the world. Everything and every one in the Universe needs hope for love and peace. You are LOVED !!

I used to hate dragon ball z because I thought it was cringe. After Akira's death I decided to watch it and it was the best choice of my life.
This is wholesome. Did not see it coming. I have a lot more respect for football/soccer players now.

See, most don’t understand, as children we saw these characters and they inspired strength and determination. More so than any family member or anything, and now we’re older and using those stories today. To get stronger, to persevere. Dragonball was important to so many. R.I.P Toriyama
This month is no longer womens month, it will be remebered as Toriyama Month.
Always the great one's that get taken too early!
He was the friend everyone needed but never had.
R.I.P, you legend.

I honestly never knew how passionate soccer fans were for the Dragon Ball Z universe. Happily crying at seeing this amazing dedication to our legend.
Rest in Hell Akira Toriyama 🔥
Wtf is wrong with you
When a legend dies just know that you are not the only one standing, mourning and appreciating his work. Akira Toriyama you may not be able to witness these events but I hope you can hear your Super Saiyan Fans screaming and cheering on your leagacy. Thank you being part of our childhood memories!😢
This is bringing me to tears, honestly. I'd be thinking that there won't be a lot of people who would love DB but this video has proved me wrong.
Dragonball best anime when I child hood
Akira practically created Anime. Rip LEGEND!
He isn’t a legend. He’s a normal human, just like the rest of us.
Akira Toriyama & Stan Lee... 2 legends are gone but never forgotten
Its honestly kinda poetic that i had finished reading the dbz manga the same day akira toriyama passed away it was how i first discovered his wonderful world and im happy i got to experience it whilst he was still alive
Dragon ball and football was literally my childhood growing up in Asia.
my parent and my sibling know goku and dragon ball. and they were not even into anime and manga. that just show how impactful akira toriyama DB is
This is what we mean when we say Akira Toriyama had a world wide influence, when dragon ball started going around the world, he revolutionized anime in the west, he made what was impossible then, possible.
R.I.P. Akira Toriyama. May King Kai give you a perfect place for you to rest 😢
Rest in peace 🕊️ Akira Toriyama 💐
I've never watched Dragonball but I can't deny that literally the whole world knows about it. It's amazing.
watch it!! there’s a youtube upload of it of the main events shortened into movie size if you want the link.
Its heartwarming when people come together to mourn and honor someone they never met but admired and looked up to
If all the haters can see this. This is the impact Akira Toriyama made that they'll never have
I'm from India 🇮🇳 I love Akira Toriyama ❤😭🙏🏻
Every day people die, I don't see television talking about every life dying
Most people wont mean a thing to anyone besides their loved ones, whereas for Toriyama, lots of people grew up with his works
He's just a footballer... Nothing special not even useful outside sports ball
@@johnthumble5154 is that referring to Toriyama?
I grew up with Dragon Ball z. RIP absolute legend ❤🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
Thank you so much for giving us a wonderful childhood memories.
Rest in Hell Akira Toriyama 🔥
