Something you missed on stepping up to the Laramie from the BH is that you get the proximity enter door handles....key fob in your pocket, the doors unlock when you grab the handle.

you can actually spec out a tradesman really really nice....8.4 uconnect all the cameras of the high end models and on the fly transfer case buttons....7.0 cluster.....no heated seats, buckets, or heated wheel, no leather on seats.....but everything else is pretty much available....power folding mirrors, power rear window and some LED

My old ram was speckled like that and upgraded lights, my new mega ram limited has the Cummins and 6 speed, no issues so far 980 miles
Definitely watching your videos to make my final decision on buying a 2500, now is going to be gasoline for sure.

Great vid. I just bought a 2020 ram 2500 lonestar, 2 days after I bought it the 4x4 started changing on its own. From 2 hi to 4low while driving. Its been in the shop the third time for the same issue now. You Know if any issues like this? Any advice? I also have to check the trans in the recall.
My 2019 just did the same thing to me.
Please do which Ram 2500 is best to tow a 30 foot up to 12000 pound travel trailer

2019 oil leak. Three repair attempts still not fixed. Oh ya check third break light mine almost fell off after the back seat flooded.
Same here for my 2017 3500, they can't fix the leak so their putting in a new motor

I own a 2019 2500 Cummins. 3k miles on it currently. I strongly recommend buying the extended warranty. The dealership will mark the price up so buy it independently. For $2300 I got a 8 year 85k bumper to bumper warranty. Well worth it for long term ownership and peace of mind.
You could have gotten a 7 year 100k mile warranty threw gieco now, they offer it on all new cars and trucks, covers all electrical equipment and transmission

Rick Terrill Yes, there’s a recall on 68rfe transmission. My 2020 2500 order is stuck in Mexico pending the fix. Dealers can’t sell any either.

I came very close to buying a 2019 2500 Laramine Longhorn Mega Cab, but decided to hold off for a bit. Glad I did.
Recall will require a replacement valve body. Check your trans dipstick frequently. They are pressurizing and could blow fluid out and cause a fire. If I had one, it would get parked or the stick handle zip-tied.

The Longhorn has a Harmon Kardon system... Lol best it gets for Factory...
Just know the Aisin will shift like a bus and is not a pleasant daily driver. If you tow light and use the truck as a DD, just get the SO/68RFE or stick with the gasser.
There's a couple of less common trim packages as well, but they are only available in certain areas. In Texas, similar to the Big Horn, there's a Lone Star Edition, and sliding in between the Limited and Laramine, there's a Longhorn Laramie which really a western themed Limited.
Laramie "leather" is not much leather. Top center front seats. The rest is bonded leather/vinyl/suede. Plastic dash, door panels, etc. The difference between the Laramie and Limited or Longhorn leather quality and thickness is significant (as is the cost). If I wasn't going Limited or Longhorn, I would just option out a Bighorn with cloth buckets as the 2020 offers the 12" Uconnect as optional in the Bighorn package.

I have the 19 2500 with a 6.4 and 4.10 gears it never goes into cylinder deactivation

Cory Lee hmm that’s a a very low ratio for a 2500 gas. I have a 5500 and has a 4.44 which is not too bad.

Why doesn't it go into cylinder deactivation? That's the only thing I don't like about the hemi's
There's ONE thing I don't like about my 2019 Laramie (3500 long-bed 4X4 Cummins): 32-gallon fuel tank. Geez! Seriously??? My Dad's 2011 Duramax 2500 has a 36-gallon tank. I understand Ram got off their asses and put 50-gallon tanks in their trucks for 2020. 🙁
50 gallon is optional and available on long bed crew cab only. Got one due in a few weeks.

Ram needs to update the 6.4 hemi it hasn't been updated yet rumor has ram is going to bring out a 7.0 liter hemi. Hopefully soon. I have a 2014 3500 ram with the 6.4 and it's a great truck but to keep up with Ford and Chevy it needs to get a new motor out here for it consumers. Or at least maybe just increase horsepower🐎 and torque in the 6.4
Especially as a response to the Ford 7.3L 'Godzilla' gasser.......which all the Ford boys are dick-beating over......
6.4 is very solid and pulls heavy well. Transmission pairing is really good also.
I like the base model better than paying for those useless items that you can only get in a package.
My cheapest "Walmart Blue Light Sale" home stereo sounds better than the best car audio.
No car stereo is going to sound better than home stereo system period, not even in a Rolls Royce, Mayback, MB S650.
Also, I rather have the base model front bumper; not have to worry about paint chips and dings from rocks is the best peace of mind.
Kids making crazy h.p and torque with circus clown tires on these trucks with the 68rfe..it wasn't designed to hold that much power ..stock its fine
I did come across a review by a woman whos tranny started on fire on a Ram pickup and Ram did absolutely nothing to help her out. In the end her insurance company helped her get out of it.

Ben you are good a this but keep in mind, this is a video, people do try to follow what you are saying for 12 min but you need other than just your face during the entire video do some graphics or any kind of notes annotations i dont know . I'm pretty sure your face talking straight for 10 15 minutes it's not what people want to see when looking for videos about trucks or cars en general..

Sorry won't be buying dodge anymore, lack of properly trained technicians in my area quality in the toilet but the interior is pretty, we are paying too much for crap which includes chevy and ford
Ram trucks are trash. My 2014 Cummins had 13 recalls on it. Since I bought my Chevy 2019 I have had 1 recall and it was for the snow plow option which didn’t concern me living in south Texas.
Ben hardy you should take into consideration reviewing sport,exotic and rare cars, because no one wants to view a channel video and see too much trucks and family cars all the time it gets too boring and you should modify you raptor everyone wants to see and hear something fun not trucks and lame cars

Have a 2019 3500 with 6.4 4.10s absolutely a pile of shit glad it's a company truck and I didn't pay for it or and won't be paying for repairs after warranty at that pastic electrical nightmare, save a few dollars up front NOT worth it
