As a Jamaican who grew up around sound systems, I genuinely love watching your videos. Nuff respect to you Acid and little Noah. A real star. More power Noah, I am watching and learning from the best.
I’m a white guy and I’ve been into this my whole life. And it’s good to see new generation of people getting into it. We don’t need this culture to die. I love this stuff.
@henrybabin8031 Thanks..that is definitely my mission to do my part in keeping the culture alive...glad my son decided on his own to gravitate towards it
This is what I'm talking about...love the explanation of each piece of amps and the putting together of the sound system. Keep up the good work you n your family
Awesome to see the younger generation coming along for the ride…. I do concerts for a living and in my world all that extra stuff can color your sound… For what your trying to accomplish do it up absolutely… For me I want the cleanest n clearest signal I can get and use the Matrices in the X32 Rack or M32 C and use the built in cross over points… There are times I get amazed when I tune a PA… Awesome work
Good day acid & Noah don Very very informative I like how advising on researching very good as we also have to understand our own machines that's the only way we learn By hands on application excellent 👌🏾
Finally someone mentioned it, the DBX is only for a send and return but most sounds use it as the leading signal and thats why the music has a breathing effect.. this units purpose is to run in conjuction as a wet and dry (parallel) blend of with the lead.
rad explanation of what you do with your sound. everything i've done with a sound system has been based in studying along with intuition. it's nice to see that along with a career of understanding, you can pass on this massive project to your kin in a similar way. thanks for your perspective, i love the work you've done to keep the rack your'e going to use so organized. stoked to see the stack packed with drivers and chuggin' tunes. big love from Jacksonville, FL.
Big up Acid and Noah. Sound system culture lives! Acid ah Furman me say all the way for power distro 😂😂😂😂 However,in the words of Acid "use weh yuh have".
Sometimes the Peavey version is hard to get, but, there is the Thomann T.Racks version that also incorporates all-pass filters and a graphic EQ across the inputs (if you prefer to use it) Check out the software downloads, things will look very similar but you will see different features. And MAD RESPECT for getting the younger gen in there!
Great job! Only advice is to move the exhaust fans to the topmost position on the rack (right below wireless mics antennas or higher) to make them more effective. Otherwise you'll get hot air pocket above the fans that won't make X32 happy.
Bless nice video selector Yute I just build a second sound system in America because everyone going powered sound systems and getting rid of all rack and analog equipment I’m buying everything left to right
Things more modern now remember back in the days we ofto use lot of processor and amplifier plus lot of speakers wire so it hard to have a neat organize rack but now less things more neatness for sound system good lecturing
May I ask Also How is the bass directed to the m/c on x32 that's one aspect I've not worked out still scratching my head 🤔 Have established the various inserts of expanders, bbe Maxine's etc on the x32 just that one bit on the base has got me Would you be able to advise as do have it out of the booth but just a little miffed on how to from x32 m/c channel Would really like an advise on that gents thank you and keep it up 👍🏾 Brilliant concept of explaining Straight and concise both. From Michael aka mr platinum over here in 🇬🇧 uk London
Hi Maurice. I love your instrutional videos. Do you know where I can find blueprints and videos on how to build professional bass speaker cabinets? Any help appreciated. Dave Doyle Los Angeles
The Richter scale def eat up the over head but again thats also a unit thats built to be a send and return within its self, dbx and Richter scale are both for home entertainment systems... Noah Is right
Hey Acid & Noah, all the way from Trinidad. Alot of people don't know that the Behringer dcx2496 also has an expander (dynamic eq) in it. I prefer this over the dbx driverack 260. Sound system culture full of copy cat hence half of owners have no knowledge of sound only money & unnecessary equipment
I'm learning, can someone explain why have a power surge protection on top and a power distro at the bottom, are you plugging your components into the surge and then the surge into the distro???? Im using powered speakers, thanks to anyone who responds
Look for part 2 of this video when y'all lord them horn and show the right way bro wire up that brand new sound system people. # acid sound system me love what what bring to the music dj community.
Those peavey units are Peavey Versions of loudspeaker management Dbx versions are called. Drive rack So you cannot call every processor a drive rack. Cause drive rack is the name of dbx processor No disrespect. I have learned some stuff from this video as well
You are right. However, Drive-rack is a generally accepted term used in our community to refer to all DSP's much like Google=Search,Jeep=SUV, Hoover=Vacuum etc...
interesting, my 70 year old father calls any digital processing type equipment a "driverack" as well, they were the first major player so i'm guessing many people refer to most of them as that.
@@ua7pyro591 yep! Google is not the only search engine but when someone wants to tell you to use one they simply say "Google it " but we know there's yahoo,Bing etc.
