If you leave the solenoids, put in the performance cam and lifters, modify the program for the solenoids to work full time or low rpm range. Wouldn't that help lubricate more the lifters to prevent damage on the cam?🤔
Yes, I briefly mentioned it in the video, but if the lifters don't stay in their trays and drop out of their bores, you'll have to remove the cylinder heads. Other than that, it's a Multiple Displacement System (MDS) camshaft from an automatic Challenger or Charger
@@bbgjimmy6455 depends on goals and mileage of your vehicle. If you want a max- effort build, delete it with either Hellcat or Comp Cams lifters and an non-MDS camshaft. If it's your DD, and you're concerned about fuel mileage, you can keep it and even swap the camshaft for a 6.4 one- with great HP gains. Good luck and thanks for watching!
@The Lone Power Ranger around 3-4 loss in mpg. I was chasing max n/a build with a stock block and any aftermarket cam requires removal of the mds/tune.
I won't say the brand, but I believe it's the same as mine. Curious to see what you make on the dyno!
Great video I'm working behind the scenes on my build its just visual stuff RN doing a conversion
ive never used a cam install tool i just use the bolt and a wrench
absolutely we like what we see 😍🤩

Nice video 👍🏻👍🏻
Is the 392 cam from an auto? And if so, can i put it without changing the lifters ?

@@neverenuff2381 should I do a mds delete ? What do it do

@@neverenuff2381how much would it effect mpg locking the vvt or mds?
