This is a very beautiful stallion, but the most impressive thing about him is the way he behaves. That is due to the trainer and the horses breeding. Congratulations....well done!!!!
The whole thing about stallions being aggressive, wild and untouchable, is just due to people only using stallions for studding and not actually working with them as they would with a gelding or mare who is not a broodmare.
@@bella-vg9dt please see my post from 7/11/20. He isn't using the shank in anyway that makes the horse uncomfortable. Yes, shank bits used incorrectly are harsh & can injure the mouth. Jacob is not mistreating this horse in anyway. The horse would show signs of mistreatment. Which you obviously are not educated enough to recognize.
Judy Nicholson- yes he uses shank bits or walking horse bits, but he uses them correctly. He rides with a loose rein, doesn't pull on the bit & you can barely see his hands move. He is using leg pressure to communicate. If this horse was to be shown, especially since he is a stallion, he has to be shown in the proper walking horse bit. So he must be trained to accept this bit. He also rides him with only a halter & lead line. Jacob is just showing how willing & well trained this young horse is. Jacob has done a fabulous job, as usual.

I get so much enjoyment watching these horses and riders. It just goes to show that the relationship between man and horse can be a match made in heaven. I would have to marry a potato farmer from Maine's potato country in order to be able to ride the wind like that. No roads or big fields around the Downeast region.

Kat, I appreciate that feeling. We trained horses, but never were dealers, that is a dark business. We have a very nice reiner and we have some age, we will not keep him long term, but he will only go to some responsible and good home. I will take less money for that goal.
I’m in Australia so no go but he is quite lovely, has the nice temperament and beautiful colour. Is it characteristic of TWH where the back end doesnt match the front? The hind end seems smaller than the front. Obviously, I am not a horse person... but the confirmation seems a bit off to me. Otherwise, a very beautiful horse.
Personally I see something odd about his hip angle but that's it. You also have to take into account that he is only 3 and hasn't filled out completely. All things considered, he is fairly balanced. I'm new to walkers, just bought my mare in November, but I'm trying to learn as much about their conformation as possible.
there are three reasons for why he might look front heavy to you. 1. horses are naturally heaver on the front end as they carry most of their weight on the front. We as riders and horseman take time to teach them to re-balance themselves in order to carry a rider, plow a field, or pull a carriage. This horse is young, and the trainer has obviously not pushed him to do things he may not be physically or mentally mature enough to do. which brings us to reason # 2. Like Quinn Chicken said, he is a baby still. He actually has another four years until he is finished growing up (think of him as a 16 year old boy if that helps) so he will grow and develop more musculature and top line, especially if his new owner continues his education in an age appropriate manor. lastly # 3. TWH's are a type of saddle horse, bred to get a Rider from point A to point B quickly and comfortably. So while he will develop more musculature over his rear he will never have the massive rear end of lets say a stock type horse who needs to stop and turn very quickly to work cattle or carriage horse who needed to move large heavy carriages over hills and sometimes long distances. I hope this helps some!

I don't know what he does, but I put 80 spf sunscreen on my sabino TN walker. I put a fly mask on first and then smear the sun screen all over his nose.
Lisa Baker Thank. My grandson has an apron face paint with two blue eyes. We’ve tried bulldog sunscreen, fly mask with nose shield. I live in Texas 2 days after rained we thought his face was covered in mud; it was scabs. He know stays in the barn window shut ( got burned when looking at his friends) and now goes out only after 6 and in about 6 am. It’s a shame. He has a gait like a rocking horse. Also, with his blue eye and white around them he gets eye infections. Winter is not too bad. I appreciate your help. I thought someone might have invented something by now.

The only down fall is that if your horse plays with other horses while turned out, sometimes the other horse finds it fun and easy to pull the mask off! So if you don't have to worry about that, the Cashel Crusader extended nose at SStack.com might solve your problem.

That is because they also have the natural gait of non-gaited horses. Such as walk, trot and canter, lope and flat out run. With so many types of gaits to choose from, they can go into any of them at any time. Sometimes with a short blending of two gaits, which can be quite uncomfortable for the rider. lol Within the smooth gaits, they have flat walk, and what some refer to as a saddle gait or traveling gait, then there is the running walk. All these many ways of walking, do require some training to bring them out, when the rider wants them and training to keep them in the desired gait.
Couldn't agree more. I didn't even sit (and nothing more) on my youngster until he was 3. I wouldn't touch a 3 year old that's already doing this much, even if he came back with clean x-ray's. I'd also question how rushed the training was. 💁
