    Good point that they don’t break like neocolors can!

      Thank you for your comment! It's true that some art materials, like Neocolors, can be more prone to breakage, which can be a concern for artists. It's always helpful to consider the durability and practicality of different supplies when making choices for your art toolbox.

    You know what I have some black pastel Matt paper that I haven’t used. I don’t really like it for pastel but I know it holds up to water really well. I’ve used the neocolor2 on it from Carandache.

      That's a great idea! Black pastel Matt paper can create a really nice effect, and it's interesting to hear that it holds up well to water. Thank you for sharing your experience and for taking an interest in my art video. I appreciate your support and hope you continue to enjoy my content!

    I have these too. I love them. My kids use them as crayons, I also use them with water. I love how bright they are. I didn't swatch them on black, they look so good, I'll have to do it as well. 😊

      It's wonderful to hear that both you and your kids enjoy using these art materials! It's always great when art supplies can cater to various age groups and skill levels. The versatility of these materials, allowing them to be used as crayons or with water, certainly adds to their appeal.
      I'm glad you liked the swatches on black paper! The contrast can bring out the vibrancy of the colors in a different way, creating some stunning effects. I encourage you to give it a try and explore the possibilities with your own artwork.
      Thank you for sharing your experiences and enthusiasm for these materials. Your support and engagement are truly appreciated. Keep creating and having fun with your art! 😊

      @@Ansjevis I had the set, and really loved them! I’ve since gotten into enjoying some other supplies more, so I gifted them to a friend.

    So interesting to see all of these being swatched! I LOVE that blue-green colour (the one on the end of the row). I noticed that the Woody pencils I have do actually seem to have a lightfastness rating on them. The black and white both have 5 stars, the pink has 2 stars. I was wondering whether you could let me know how many stars the blue-green colour has? Thank you in advance!

    You can wet them and use them as watercolours

    • @Ansjevis
      @Ansjevis  ปีที่แล้ว

      You're absolutely right! Many water-soluble art materials, such as watercolor pencils, crayons, or water-soluble pastels, can be activated with water and used like traditional watercolors. This versatile property allows artists to achieve different textures and effects in their artwork, combining the best of both worlds.

    I've just been buying these this week but when I swatched the silver and gold and added water they just disappeared like the water washed them away

    There's now 24 woody colours. But still only up to 18 in a set. You can buy all 24 open stock if you search around.

    • @Ansjevis
      @Ansjevis  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the update on the availability of woody colors! It's great to know that there are now 24 colors to choose from. While it's a bit surprising that the largest set still contains only 18 colors, the option to purchase all 24 individually through open stock is a valuable tip for artists who are looking to expand their color range.

    • @Ansjevis
      @Ansjevis  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for pointing that out! My apologies for not demonstrating the full potential of these water-soluble materials in the video. The ability to add water and create watercolor-like effects is indeed one of the main features of these products. I appreciate your feedback, and I'll make sure to include that aspect in a future video to showcase their versatility.
