I love how passionate John is about guitars and effects. Also how humble and enthusiastic he is when doing the rigdowns with famous artist. We can feel that in this side of the screen. Keep up the good job guys!

I thought something was wrong with mine because of the buzzing when I turned it on, but I hear the same buzzing in this video. It's the only pedal I have that buzzes like that when on.

John's skills are just ridiculous! For the first 90% of this video I was like, "I want to learn how to do that". Then after that last run at the end, I just wanted to put my guitar down and walk away...

My question is the 'Single Coil/Humbucker' switch. Unlike a lot of other compressors this one does not have an Attack Control. So is this switch there in place of an Attack Control and since it's 'preset' doesn't that limit that parameter since most if not all single coils/humbuckers have different output profiles? Just wondering.

I like the Boss CP-1X over this. The sustain holds on longer, less unwanted feedback into high gain and it has a slight low mid bump

Nice compressor...! Great playing as expected. It just may be time to give my old 1970's Dyna Comp a well earned rest, and get a new Keeley. To quench my curiosity, is it possible to tell me just what kind of pick that John is using? Different picks make a big difference to me, they're a big part of the overall sound. Looks like maybe some model of V-Pick...?

Thanks for the info, it looks like a Screamer w/ a pearly Gates finish. I've always found different picks the cheapest way to change one's tone. I've a plethora of plectrums to suit my needs and moods. Also enjoying V-Picks the most. The Dimension Jr. pointed is great for getting my alternate picking into shape. It's amazing how V-Picks have helped my technique. Thanks for the response John, and the greats demos. Best regards from Montreal. ~Glenn

Doug Cassidy I’ll just tell you that I still like the boss Cs-3 tone better than the Keeley, I also have the 4 knob. I do keep the Keeleys tho.
