Want to know some real fucking interesting fun facts? The guy who narrates this intro also voiced Dracula himself on the German dub of the Netflix Castlevania show.
Sad that he is in that crappy animated series. But i do love when games try to emulate realism in terms of timeline when it comes to language and timeline or culture etc. I love that stuff
@@8-bitBishop Eh you can't satisfy everyone. Shit to some is gold to others, and vice versa. I can relate to finding things shit ( _Dragon's Dogma Netflix anime_ ) that others love. But in my case I dare to say they're idiots who don't know storytelling from A to O :p
I realized it also right now, that he is the same voice in the Netflix series! This is awesome! :D To be honest I would like to know how this German intro came to be. I mean, was Rondo of Blood even released in Germany?
“I found my smattering of German very useful here, indeed, I don't know how I should be able to get on without it.” ― Jonathan Harker, from Bram Stoker's Dracula, the novel.
@@Beano0123 Not only that but this intro is wrong, the german voice is of exceptional quality, which the PC-Engine could not produce. This voice intro is from the newer Dracula X Chronicles, while the animation is from the old Rondo of Blood
Netflix looked at this and was like: "yeah, let's make Richter a crybaby, also Christianity representation should be bad of course, and politics, we need a lot of politics in Castlevania"
There's still no where had the same punch or prowess... the first time I ever heard it on the TurboGrafx it sounds completely different and have some real punch to it
I like the translated version on the psp version trough but still, if konami had brought this game to the west too, it may had saved the pce from it's grace.
Look up Transylvania Saxxons on wiki. I never knew this before i read some comments. But it would make sense interms of this intro. But its kind of cool to know this. Since i never knew about it. Think it wasnt til after WW2 was over when Germans.. kind of had to leave. But its interesting story.
So I had the original release of this game on the turbografx cd. That is not the original voice, for sure. I played the game so much I remember it very well. Must be a re-release, and definitely not turbo. I guess it must be the wii console.
This is not the wii console version since that one uses a completly different voice actor and an even more different narration. As far as I know this is the PC-Engine version translated by fans and mostly used for emulation. If your copy sound different than this, then we can assume that Rondo of Blood had 3 separate narrators during it's distribution overseas.

I like the German dub for some reason.
This makes sense for the region and based on Bram Stoker story. I love it too.
Going back to play the Requiem bundle after liking SOTN as a kid.... This is so fucking cool
My fave intro to any video game ever!!!
The german narration in this opening gives me the 1979 Nosferatu vibe which is my top favorite vampire movie with the 1992 Dracula in second.
oh shit, it is in german. I love this now, i love the voice actor too
Its our Voice actor for Josh Brolin (Thanos, Cable), too ;)
Shog64 I think it’s actually in Romanian
His name is klaus dieter klebsch btw
He does also the Dracula from the netflix series in the german version.
Holy shit..@@fenrin6311
Even thought I am german this Intro gives my the creep
so the German Narrator is the Only Non-Japanese voice in the game?
This makes German sounds so good.
Wait... "einen pakt mit den Teufel" is "pact with the devil", why does it say "evil ate away at their souls"???
The subtitles are out of sync for a lot of it

@@5P3C73R That would explain why the subtitles don't match, I also found this /watch?v=1T9VdJkuKgg where there is a different German voice.
@@Beano0123 What also doesn't help is that the subtitles are only translated from Japanese rather than German.
@@5P3C73R Wait, but the PC-Engine CD was capable of CD quality audio.
1:43 OMG THE NEW LOGO :D
The narrator has the same voice as Dracula in the German dub of the Castlevania Netflix show, holy shit.
You know what? This is actually the greatest video game opening ever made.
This new German narration sounds more devilish at x0.25, but it makes that “pact with the devil” @ 0:34 sound extra crispy. 😩👌
Good I like it but i'll have to get used to not hearing the slash when the X appaers

Those coward writers would _never_ represent Islam in the same way, though.

Interestingly they didn't just get a new voice actor, but the lines themselves are also rewritten.
Subtitles are horribly inaccurate, though. PSP intro had more accurate subtitles for the same voice clip.
@@TheBanishedWind That's because the translation in this version was made with the original audio in mind.
That German goes hard
Happy anniversary
Rad as hell. Tombs of the Blind Dead vibes.
Nice title card.
The voice actor is the same who German dubs inspector Megure from Detective Conan
Dr. House! ES IST LUPUS!
Has anyone made a German sub for this intro?
some subtitles are in japanes and English too why because the voiceover audio was still in german though
It should have been romanian.
Wait, it already was german in the japanese game on PC Engine? I thought that only got added to wii store and psp port
this is metal af
1:35 When dracula is sus!!!!!!!!
Why is it in German though?

It takes place around there
I think is Romanian, since it does take place in wallachia

Konami wanted to bring the game but NEC rejected the idea.
Why is the intro in German, when the rest of the game is in Japanese?
***** Well, I learned something new today.
I figured it's because the game takes place in Germany
no, because Transylvania was under the Power of Austria at that time and have many german and Austrian settlers
Its because japanese people like the german language ;)

the intro narration was redone for the psp remaster. That is the version you see here. the original intro had a different voice actor.
Jame Rolf is currently watching this video lool
I wish both versions of the German prologue were in the Requiem title. This guy's voice is forceful and imposing.
If it was Romania that would've been perfect

rated t for teen
these subtitles aren't accurate at all, for example at 0:34 he clearly says einen pakt mit die teufel (a pact with the devil)
The voice is Patrick Stewart?😱
oh of course this is a germany dubbed voice from pal or palsecam

And in the end, who invoc him? Where it was?
Answer: the humans who want help against the merchantilism... In a church.
Thank you.
Not the real introduction voice.
