  • Adrian Edmondson bravely performs at the Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival just 4 days after the death of his best mate and comedy partner Rik Mayall. With his band The Bad Shepherds they preform their own version of the I Fought the Law the big hit from The Clash

I once met Ade Edmondson walking down a street in Dartford. Nicest guy ever.

Thanks for posting this live version by the Bad Shepherds. BTW Mike, This isn't the Clash's song. The Clash covered this Bobby Fuller song [1966] with more punk power, but who cares, the point is this song can be re-interpreted. I actually liked this version because it really pushed lots of boundries & its courageous & it works. Folk-Punk. Who knew?? Well -- we do now.

Uilleann pipes Andrew Lapidus The bag of the uilleann pipes is inflated by means of a small set of bellows strapped around the waist and the right arm (in the case of a right-handed player; in the case of a left-handed player the location and orientation of all components are reversed). The bellows not only relieve the player from the effort needed to blow into a bag to maintain pressure, they also allow relatively dry air to power the reeds, reducing the adverse effects of moisture on tuning and longevity. Some pipers can converse or sing while playing. bag pipes need to blown into these irish pipes or uilleann pipes do not.

Troy is a multi instrumentalist, but is the World's best Irish Pope player, a very difficult thing to play indeed.
