- Can I beat Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with only new dark type Pokemon? Gen 9 introduced some great new Pokemon, and among them are awesome dark types! Will we be able to conquer the titans, beat all the gyms, and defeat team star while becoming the greatest dark type trainer in the Paldea Region?
Rules:
1) New dark types only (or Pokemon that evolve into dark types)
2) No items in battle
3) Set mode
4) No overleveling
5) Team sizes match gyms

As far as I can tell, some of the Paradox mons don’t seem to appear until the postgame, either that or I got extremely unlucky with my (sandwich-boosted) search for Roaring Moon before fighting Sada.
But u can't get that untill post game

By the way, you can get an Eviolite from one of the League Representatives in South Province Area 5 after beating 7 trainers. It really helps for early stage pokemon you're stuck with due to high level evos or trades (like Pawniard)...

My first gen 9 shiny was a Hariyama in Alfornafa Cavern. I was on a call with my friend in the middle of a sentence and turned Miraidon around as I was flying and I look down to see a purple handed Hariyama. I may or may not have just kinda just spouted gibberish out of confusion lol. I have since found two shiny Makuhita and I have a new appreciation for Hariyama now.
It was my first shiny in my current play thru too!
There are alot of disadvantages and advantages about having dark types but the concern is being the three types that their weak against fairy, fighting and bug types but the plan is create a strategy against those type weakness without almost losing half the team against them. I did enjoy alot of these type of videos and pokemon ones too since I don't see alot of it but I am looking forward for more of it like these.

I actually beat the game with a similar team, with the exception of 1-2 non dark type pokemons. Keep up the great content!

my second play thru i used ghost types only! I chose fuecoco and the exception was one non ghost type if it had a ghost type Tera! Was extremely fun and so many cool ghost types in the game

My favorite Dark Types, where to begin? Honchkrow line, Kingambit line, Zoroark, Cacturne, Sableye, Darkrai (basic pick but I am edgy), Bombirdier, Grimmsnarl, Krookodile line, Houndoom line, Skuntank, Crawdaunt, Mega Gyarados, Tyranitar, Malamar line, Thievul, Lokix, Guzzlord, Spiritomb, Obstagoon line, Liepard, Greninja, Incineroar, Hisuian Samurott, and probably more.
My first and only shiny so far was at the beginning of Violet with shiny Scatterbug, now Vivillion. Fave two shines I ever caught though were shiny Toucannon, shiny Kricketune, and shiny Tyrantrum. Best blue boi I ever hatched. But close to that are shiny Amoongus, shiny Stufful (into Bewear), and shiny Liepard. But my first ever legit shiny was Vanillite. I almost thought I knocked it out because it was almost the same color as normal in the double battle.

My first shiny was a Rockruff. Me and my sister were playing together and I was running around the area with the Psychic gym. I was running on a path and saw this blue thing that looked like a dog. I got so confused and just ran towards it and turned out to be a shiny Rockruff.

i love yveltal. its design is really good
letting yourself use your starter before it evolved into a dark type was so refreshing, most people who do type only challengers just wait for it to evolve through exp share and its very annoying

A shinx was my first shiny. I went out the east gate and saw a group of shinx. I accidentally ran into one and saw a yellow girl. Her name is Dandelion and shes great.
I found a shiny Chansey and them accidently killed it when the Larvesta I was training that was 15 levels lower crit and one shot it. I seethed for a minute and then went about my day. Less than 10 minutes later I found a caught a shiny Revaroom. I'm okay with that, it looks slick in shiny and I find it to be a delightfully silly Pokemon.
It’s a two way tie for me with Umbreon the OG, and Grimmsnarl.
Kitty is best dark type! Also currently doing this same challenge.

5:55 Rocky Payload is Bombirdier’s hidden ability. The reason it has it is because that’s a static encounter. After you defeat each titan you can catch them as a static encounter and (if I remember correctly) they have the Former Titan mark, at least 3 perfect IVs, and whatever ability the titan Pokémon had. I’m this case, Rocky Payload!
Why didn’t he use roaring moon? Isn’t he a dark type?
@@technowonk6553 Roaring Moon isn't available until you beat the main story so he wouldn't be able to use it
@@technowonk6553 I think you have to beat AI Sada to be able to catch Paradox Pokémon.

I named my fuecoco Hades because Hades is the lord of the dead and skeledirge is a ghost type I guess if the sprigato was female you could’ve named her Persephone Hades’s wife who controlled plants

i feel although the gyms and game is opened world, the way they set it up most people still face the gyms in the same oreder, atleast for the most part lol
