Amazing stuff regarding noise readings, which i consider an important aspect of modern EVs. About time someone started to do proper testing, bravo Kris 👏
I was lucky and got to borrow a EX90 for 2 days here in northern norway. Twin motor plus with air but without the BW soundsystem. The ride quality was awesome and very quiet, even on 21" studded wintertieres. I did not find any SW bugs.
Best way of doing it as you have done, Volvo should have delayed by a few months for sure the release of the car to test drive etc. Sure it won't disappoint when it's available.
Appreciate the dedication to accuracy, as cabin noise is a severely under reported quantifiable experience in reviews, and for something that is a daily experience, seems like it should definitely given a higher degree of importance.
Seems weird Volvo didn't invite you to California as they would have had to invite some Norwegian press over to review it and for first drive event as it was. I watched a couple videos of it and you weren't wrong there was some weird software issues definitely going on had a EX30 sort of vibe to it with the issues. I don't mind waiting then for you to get a proper car to review from Volvo Norway that way you have it for a week or so as well.
I was super curious why there were no efficiency/charging reviews out there. EX90 is a crazy expensive car to be releasing half baked . I have a first year XC40 recharge and to be having the same issues but on a flagship product is unfortunate.
i drove one in Vancouver Canada few days ago; super quiet, everything seems to be working; even the google command. Only one thing i noticed: the phone wireless charging doesn't seem to be working. and the trim level I got comes with 20in wheels which has a lesser EPA range of 483km. vs 499km for the 21in wheel... theyd didn't make this super clear on the canada website.
Does anyone still care about the EX90 at this point lol. Some competitors already have their model on the road, finished, similar or better specs for a better price. EV9, Xpeng G9, Ioniq 9, and more will follow.
@@harriska can’t buy Xpeng in most markets? Lol. They are rolling out everywhere in Asia, Europe and Australia., North Africa here and there. That only a Kia is better than the EX90 aaand has functional software. Never heard of R1S.
I test drove... where is the test? Good luck to you when you post such videos! Keep your problems to your self and upload video when you have something to show.
I know the delays really made people upset, but they should have kept delaying until it was actually finished

You need to have the decibel meter calibrated in order for it to work correctly with noise testing.

Did you try the bose system? And if you did, how was it?
@@henjoh69 I tried it yes, I have tested a Polestar 3 with BW and can easily say that it is worth upgrading for only 25k (Norway) or 2,500€.

We might just get a EX90 test drive before GTA6 - If Volvo allows transparency and reality at some point.
hahahaha

The the same as the BMW iX the EPA range is higher with the 22’s than the 21’s.
This guy is soooooo annoying.
@@evanmunro1984 yeah I know right! Why does he even bother making videos?

2 years too late! Interior design already looks dated!
EV9 is a Kia, can't buy xpeng in most markets and ioniq 9 is not only hideous but also a Hyundai. Only real competitor is the R1S
