Great review for a stunning car!! I didnt like the interior of the XC90, where the outside was very well designed. This EX90 is overall a very well designed car! Love it 👌
Beautiful car, it's great to see them improve the noise levels on this. When the XC90 launched, I drove one and was disappointed with the road and tire noise, my KIA Optima Hybrid was quieter. Dealers were saying bigger tires equals more noise, I said a lot more money for "luxury" means they should have made it quieter. With everything going into the screen, they should make sure the software is working correctly. Even though it's a press launch, folks will be skeptical of getting one as the XC90 was plagued with issue for a couple of year after launch and this seems like a recipe for a repeat. I do hope that isn't the case as they are asking big money for this, then again, there are a lot of folks that will be waiting for these things to have issues and pick one up used once the software issue have been ironed out and the price drops massively. The 308 mile (probably 300 like the Polestar 3) range for the dual motor version sounds about right but, will be more like 270 in real world driving. The drive showed the car to be pretty smooth for riding on 22" wheel and tires, that is a big plus. I am surprised though that this top spec version didn't have perforated seats for cooled seats, as someone else mentioned, without the electrochromatic treatment, if like the XC90, the glass will let in some heat. The bottoms level of the screen could be replaced with hard buttons but, I suspect the voice control should work well for use while driving, haven't seen anyone test those yet.
Thank you for showing what happened when the main screen fails. Absolutely horrifying. Turn the car on and off again seems to be the solution, but how to do it on a busy motorway?
Nicola, that was just brilliant. You should have done it all in the American drawl. You cracked that one. Think the car was quiet 😊. Great review. Only £100k.
£100,000 for a volvo, Madness, if I had the money I think I'd get an EV9 over this. Also the screen switching itself off is exactly the reason not all the controls should be in the touchscreen.
I sat in an EV9. It feels mainstream. It's nice but I actually liked the Telluride interior better. Volvo EX90 is in a different category. More luxurious cabin, more refined, quieter.

@dcvariousvids8082 true. The other aspects of the implementation into the arm rests are more annoying. I've had a few volvos and they've always felt well thought out. This vehicle feels like a divergence from that, especially at its price point
@@Stewiedude1 I agree with you. The price is high, but here in Denmark where I'm from the EX90 is about 15.000 USD cheaper than a XC90 with similar specs. Would have helped with powered seats so one button and rear entry is done and what a small boot for the price ! Plus it's not beyond man to sort out a one button opening for the front trunk please.
