I´m 30 now and what i´ve figured out for me is: do what you love, otherwise it will make you unhappy. If you have a specific talent, use it. Of course you can have side jobs at your age, why not? And although you maybe get some money, put 50% of it away on a bank account and invest it in stocks that are safe since ever like f.e. vanguard. I know it´s annoying to think about investing in your age and it all sounds complicated but i wish i have done it so early...moreover if you get used to saving money early on you won´t have problems in the future like many many people do.
One thing to point out for Habit 3: I agree with avoiding debt unless you can finance something with 0% interest for the life of the loan, i.e. getting a new fridge at best buy or lowes when you use their credit card. You're basically borrowing money at their expense and paying it back without having to give them extra money on top of what you borrowed. Obviously it's still good to make sure you actually have the money to make these payments.. But often times I find it harder to make big purchases unless I can do something like that just because I don't like seeing the money in my bank account go down
