Bought a 2024 Sonata Hybrid Limited at the end of March Been watching many 2024 Sonata Limited Hybrid reviews. This is the first one that correctly described how the paddle shifters functioned in the different drive modes. It took me two months, but I have become a fan of the regenerative braking. Using the cruise control for backroad driving has yielded almost 60 mpg as it employs the regenerative braking. There is a tachometer available on the dashboard, you just have to customize the dashboard for it. Got the all black interior specifically because of the dashboard reflection on the windshield. Agree with you on the Lane Keep Assist. This is the first one I have used where I actually prefer to keep it on. I have not seen any other reviews that analyzed the undercarriage. Cross shopped and test drove the Accord and Camry but chose the Sonata. Your dry sense of humor is appreciated. As a Hoosier, I have to ask if you are related to Booth Tarkington.
Your comment was VERY helpful! I should be getting my Limited this week! What is the regenerative breaking? And why did you have to get, “used to it?” Is it something that is initially annoying? Wait, it’s not one of those things that makes the car SHUT OFF every time you’re at a red light is it!!!!? Then comes back on after you lift your foot off of the break! Is it THAT!!??! Because I HATE THAT!!! 😂🤣🤣😆😆, or heavily don’t like it I should say
I mean in my opinion, you should get sonata hybrid limited cuz it got a hybrid and it als9 has nice technology to back it up. The limited trim of course but if you want more power, possibly GT, then k5 would be the way to go. Sure you could get sonata N line (290 hp) but I think k5 GT (also 290 hp) will have better interior like red, coffee, black, white etc.
The Kia doesn’t come in a hybrid. If that’s what you want, the Kia is not going to work for you. If you are looking for just a gasoline engine, you’ll probably have a preference once you drive them both.
They have a 24 sonata awd . Just the sel variant only

I can't decide between this and the Kia K5. They both look amazing
Drive em both. One of them will have something about it that will make the decision much easier. Happy hunting.
@MachinesWithWheels will do! Loved the review by the way. Thank you! Will you do a review on Kia K5 EX trim?

Excellent review, love the humor
There actually is a tachometer option, but it’s buried in a menu.
These menus in menus will be the death of me.Thanks, Christy!
The reflection off that camel dashboard is terrible. Def would be a deal breaker for me. They should have stuck with black.
